Once again nigeria & nigerians' name was dragged into the mud this week by one of her 'Leaders' Amos Adamu, his name was constantly plastered in the news throughout uk for corruption.

This should be a lesson to all of us that we should not just be keeping quiet as followers when some of our so called leaders are found wanting in any area, we should be naming and shaming them, but unfortunately we will rather give the chieftancy title than prosecute them.

Our media needs to be at the fore front of this campaign but again the present 2011 election campaign has even shown us that they are part of our problem as seen in a man thought to be of good integrity supporting a devilish ex military head of state.

Nobody is claiming to know more that his/her president, but every citizen in any civilised world has a right to question their leader since the leader is there to serve them, it's only in a country like nigeria that people see it as an offence for citizens to question or disagree with the leader.

(question 4)The current bible used in Christianity today has two parts. . .the old and new testament.Now there are practices in the old testament that most churches especially Pentecostals have discontinued e.g eye for an eye, sacrificial offerings and so on.When you ask them, they tell you that Christ came and all things are washed away rendering the old testament null and void.If this is true, why then do they still revert to Malachi 3:10 when it comes to psyching up the congregation to give more offerings and tithes? Weren't all things of old washed away? My answer: The old testament is not void, infact the pharises asked jesus the same question, but Jesus christ told them that he came not to cancel the old laws but to unify them and make all the old laws into one, that's the whole essence of the message of LOVE. therefore all the laws in the old testament has been put together to become a message of LOVE.
Sacrificial offering is still part of christian life till today, though it's something that should be done willingly not under compulsion.

(question 5)The god in the bible is referred to as the all knowing god. . .the omni potent, omni present and all that. If he is all these, then he should have known that Eve would be tempted by the serpent and she would fall.He should have known how his creation would go till this present day.Why then did he create man when he knew that failure was imminent? The bible says he destroyed the world once and will do it again (some call it rapture, others call it Armageddon, a few think it's both ways). Why create something and condemn it? My Answer: My brother, God can never be confused, he created us in his own image and he gave us the power of CHOICE, that's why human beings do somethings that even though God has the power to stop us but He won't just because he has giving us the power of choice over right or wrong.

My answer: Read genesis 1:2: which says the earth was without form and void, "  this was before adam was created, so you can see that the earth exists way before adam was created, this can be clearly seen/read from the bible i.e the bible NEVER stated that the existence of planet earth start with adam!


(your question 2)In the book of Genesis, Cain killed Abel out of jealousy.He was exiled from Eden and he went to the land of Nod and married there.Can you explain who those people were coz from my recollection, at that time it was just Adam,Eve and two kids.So who are these people that were "omitted" in the story and who is this mysterious woman Cain married? Was it his sister? Or did he get married to animals?

My answer: The bible is a collection of "books" (66 to be precise)  but not necessarily 100% of what happened before christ(BC) or after christ (AD), but revelations on those things that are relevant to our day to day life as humans. for example, it was recorded in the bible that abraham had a child before isaac called ishmeal, but nothing is recorded about ishmeal and his mother after abraham sent them away! why? because it's not relevant to us as christians, also it was recorded in the bible that samuel had lots of brothers, but it was only samuel's life account that was highlighted to us,because his brothers life account is not really relevant to us biblically.
Now to answer your question, read genesis 5 to the end, adam and eve had many children apart from cain and abel. in gen 4;16-17: where cain dwelt in the land of Nod, east of Eden and he knew his wife, the point is that the name of cain's wife even if it's sister is not relevant to us as christians.

My answer: Even the scientist agreed that there was life and earth before this one we are in ( pls read about the ice age), where the first set of life was destroyed with water and ice! therefore there is no disagreement between science and religion that life existed on earth before this one we are in.
Again life started in present day africa and middle-east, even science will tell you that the present day europe, americas and even india came into existence as a result of mitosis and human migration over the years. therefore noah doesn't have to go to INDIA or europe because they were not even in existence then! pls check your science books.

Secondly, for some people on this thread questioning why a pastor should be living in comfort or 'affluence' while some members of the church are poor, "  Good question! But the simple answer is this:
The work of a pastor is to teach people the words and principles of Jesus christ and how to apply it to their day to day activities and life, whether they listen, obey or even apply those word is a matter of choice and it's not the pastor's duty to force those principles on them, even Jesus christ couldn't do that! As a matter of fact Jesus couldn't even convert all his 12 disciples i.e Judas conspired against him, So how much more a pastor (mere mortal) trying to change or preach to millions of people world wide!   In other words, a pastor doesn't have to live in penury before they show the world that they(pastors) are feeling  the pains of the poor, infact that will be hypocritical if they do!

Lastly before i stopped commenting on this thread, Religion is a personal matter, whether xristianity, islam, hindu etc, therefore i think people should come down from their high horses or moral high ground and stop passing judgements on religions and religious practices  that they don't even know nothing about, except for their own concept of right or wrong.

My answer to you is that let us focus on your picture/caption and stop generalising, are u saying that the pastor in the picture you posted is using the plane for his own personal matter?  are u saying he's not using it for church activities?
i'm not a member of his church and i'm not planning to, but what i know is that most churches (big churches) always have activities,programs and meetings all over the world nowadays, almost every week and most of these pastors and church workers has to be in different locations all the time, that's why some churches are buying planes thesedays (if they can afford it), to ease the problem of buying tickets within the shortest  period they need it.

Lastly i know your type, you are the type that always says u don't believe in any religion but yet claiming to know so much about it, pls u don't need to help your 'buddy' jesus as u said, ok?  Jesus can help himself.

It's not a sin or bad thing that men of God should live a good life, ok.

What the bible says in matthew 6:33 is that seek ye first the kingdom of God and it's righteousness  and every other things will be added.
What it simply means is that our first priority in life is to seek and serve Him(God), then after that he will give us other things, other things means: healthy life,good marriage,good children,good career/business, financial abundance, the list is endless.

The problem now is that many christians are seeking and serving God in truth but they are rejecting the good things that God promised, may be it's due to ignorance or trying to prove too holy!

Sadly the welfare and wellbeing of any citizen in a country or state doesn't necessarily depend on her GDP or GNP.
In other words, citizens of yobe state 'with the lowest GDP' can enjoy a better condition of living than the lagosians even though lagos has the highest GDP.
the most important thing is fairness and equity in spending the money no matter how little, if every state govnor can distribute their recources fairly and stop looting the state's money then their will be very little poverty in our states/country.

I live in uk, i realised that as a country nigeria is richer and making more money than the uk! But our problem is corruption, lack of equity and fairness. govnors come over here(uk), depositing billions of pounds of their state in uk accounts (money meant for the civil servants!) it's sad.

Pls the statisticians who came up with this table/ranking should pls publish the account of how these money is been spent state by state.

First question: Can babangida or you name the people that were threatning his life and MKO's life  making him to annul the election as some pro babangidas are claiming?

second question: At what point did he realised that he will be annuling the election? is it at the start or at the end of the whole election.

third question: if it was before the election why did he continue to waste nigerians money, energy and time when he knew pretty well he might still annul the election?

The reason i'm asking this question is that the reasons babangida and pro babangidas are giving for annuling the election is ridiculous, they are claiming he annuled the election because of risk to MKO's life and national security, but MKO, MKO's wife, pa rewani, ken sarowiwa and the ogoni 9 with thousands of other nigerians lost their life as a result of the annulment! so who was he protecting?!

Cancelling that june 12 election is what brought about the problem of zoning we are facing today with lots of other problems, because no region wants to trust each other again. even now the young northern politicians are distancing themselves from him. babangida should be condemned to the past.

My brother true talk, i don't even think we need to be wasting our energy joining issues with all these pro babangida losers, but sometimes one just needs to put them in their place.

I strongly believe babangida is suffering from guilty conscience, he's realising that people don't regard him anymore as they regard people like gowon, obj and buhari, he's only trying to warm his way back to nigerians' heart but no way.
