There are limited services, you will be referred to the Canada services in your province or region for your SIN and application is submitted online. Account opening also took place online for me right in the isolation room with RBC Royal Bank of Canada. Finally, your fingerprints will be taken @ the port of entry before you receive your study permit

Thanks. I wasn’t able to do any of those. And somehow the officer forgot to take my fingerprints, I didn’t even remember till I dropped my declaration card at the check after collecting baggage. I got my study permit and work permit for Co-op though.

I reached VFS, they said I should send a mail to IRCC that the issue should be from their end. I sent mails to IRCC Lagos, Abuja, London and Nairobi. London replied that their office isn't processing the application and recommended I use a web form. Lagos and Nairobi sent automated message to use a web form.

I used a web form twice and directed it to Nairobi and Lagos. Fingers crossed..they should not play rough play with us oooo.

I'll try to call VFS tomorrow again when they would have received my passport which they said is on transit to their office and try to find out if was stamped.

I’ve sent emails to IRCC lagos but got a automated mail saying I have to raise a webform as the high commission is operating at reduced capacity due to COVID.

What's the date of the dispatch/in transit to IRCC notification please? Didn't get a notification of mine being received and processing at IRCC, so I'm trying to estimate my timeline.

Thank you. Now I'm wishing I trusted my instincts and paid for Dhl two way courier in Lagos. One way cost me just 1350, so definitely won't have spent more than 5k both ways. Daylight rip off by VFS Lagos with bad customer service to add.

Cost depends on your proximity to your VFS office of choice.

I paid N11,200 to DHL ie N5,600 each envelope. From PH to Lagos.

I want to confirm to us that VFS Lagos is honouring return envelopes. I just got an update from DHL that they've picked up my parcel for delivery. I am expecting it before the end of tomorrow.

You must first apply through OCAS(ontario college application system)......
Ensure you have filled your forms till the payment page and request for Free Coupon via email...
Pls it Open House closes by 21:00.....I don't knw if they still give out freeCoupon after 21:00

My passport was delivered to VFS since Thursday morning and I didn't hear a word from them. Had to call them on Monday only to be told it was received and they don't know what's delaying updating me. They sent a tracking number 3hrs later which shows no record found when I try to track the passport. Called them again this morning and they said it has been processed and ready to be sent to IRCC today.

Someone else got confirmation of theirs been with IRCC since Tuesday November 3rd and hasn't heard anything since then.

I just hope the delay won't be for long as I am yet to book a flight and the holiday period is fast approaching with flight fare price hike.

Thanks for this. I've only received one mail from VFS that my passport is in transit to IRCC. I received the mail on Thursday last week. When we should start counting the 1 week and a few days? Is it after submission or when it gets to IRCC office? I haven't gotten any notification that my passport has reached the office yet. I don't know if that is normal.

Passport request letter
Original passport
Passport data page - 2 copies
Filled VFS consent form - 2 copies
Biometric collection slip given to you when you did biometrics.

For second time applicants:
All the above except biometric collection slip.
Payment receipt of transmission fee.

No idea about that, perhaps you can try calling them. I reached them with this number:
0815 019 9900.

You'll have to listen to a normal customer service recorded message for about two minutes before being given the option to speak to an agent.

It is my second application, I submitted my passport to same VAC where I did my biometrics. But I was not çlear on this Transmission fee pàymeñt and so I didn't pay for it.

Since this info suggests that I should pay it, how do I do that?

I called VFS and got the following info:
If the application is your first and you are submitting passport to the same centre where your biometric was collected, you should not pay for transmission. Only pay for a one way courier and add the necessary documents.

If it's your second or third application, you are to pay transmission fee, even if you had your biometric in the centre where you're sending the passport to.

I sent to the center where I enrolled for biometrics so I didn't have to pay for transmission fee. Courier is one way. The VAC will ask you to pay for return courier when your passport has been stamped.

Yes, I deferred from September 2020 to January 2021. The survey they sent was just asking if I have my study permit or AIP to upload.
