The Awori's are not good to deal with in land matters. They live as if that's all they live for. Their males mostly are touts and land grabbers while their females leave their husband's house to join in the land selling business. |
'Mogbedi fun awon tooto' I think women especially nursing mothers should be given special recognition by their husbands and even a special allowance. Before I got married, I boasted then that there is nothing special in house chores and taking care of children. I promised to assist to the very best of my capacity but when I saw the reality of motherhood, my hands drop (apa mi jabo). My wifey has become nocturnal, she hardly sleep at night because the baby needs to be fed and she does that more than twice every night while I'm busy snoring my nose out! Chei. She does the bathing, cooking and other house chores early before going to work so that she can beat the traffic just like every other Lagosian and upon return, she enters the kitchen to prepare what I like even when she doesn't have appetite for the food. If all these and more is what it takes to be a real mother, I refuse to come in the next world(if there is) as a female. If you are an employer of labour and you need someone that can multi-task, please don't look for a male, women multi-task. So recently, I just looked at all these and numerous things she has been doing and I concluded that God made women with that special capacity to carry a unique burden that men can't carry. Seeing the enormity of her chores sometimes makes me lazy even when I boast that I would help. What I'm saying is not new to those that experienced this and upon all the stress that women go through, husbands still demand 'bedmington' at night, mogbedi fun awon tooto. Woe unto that man that physically abuse his wife, great is his punishment in the future. Now I see why most entertainers, poets and other theatrical presentations echoes the exploits of mothers and greatness of motherhood. God bless all real mothers, those that didn't abandon their children and husband for the vanity of life. I wish I can pass a bill supporting the provision of special incentives like 1yr maternity leave for all nursing mothers and half day work till their babies clock 3. God bless my wife! God reward my mother through me. Today I recognise true mothers and wives all over the world, I'm not waiting for mothers day. #motherhoodiswork Cc: Lalasticlala |
Now, my understanding of eternal security from several teachers and preachers over the years is such that I find a little inconsistent with what I've read in the bible. In as much as I am a believer and product of the gospel of grace which was a revelation unveiled by Apostle Paul to the church, I just feel some teachers haven't balanced certain things properly or are on one side of the divide. Heb12:15 Looking diligently lest any man FAIL OF THE GRACE OF GOD; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; What I've read from those that teach 'ES' is that ' a Christian cannot backslide and if he does, that means he wasn't a Christian in the first place'. The scripture above is a proof that a man can fail of the grace of God. Note that the book of Hebrews and other scriptures quoted from the Epistles were written to the believers and even most of the words spoken by Jesus was directed to his disciples(we are inclusive). Also, some have positions that since our salvation is eternal, a Christian have the liberty to behave anyhow and no matter what a Christian does, he cannot lose his salvation neither can he miss heaven. Now, if what I've just written above is the true position of 'ES' teachings, I have some scriptures I'll be glad you meditate on very well even the words of Paul&Jesus. It is wrong to think that the Pauline revelations exist independently without a validation from either the words of Jesus or other Apostles. SOME ETERNAL SECURITY TEACHINGS 1- They don't believe a Christian can go back or backslide. Heb10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. KJV Demas was a companion of Paul, he was saved by grace through faith without works but in 2Tim4:10, Paul made it clear that the guy went back into the world. Now, you must understand that there's a man-ward side to Christian living which is what God expects of us. The God-ward side has been done and dusted on the cross but when men fail in their own part, they can fall by the way side. Phil2:12 said we should work out our salvation with fear&trembling. That was written by Paul, and he wrote that to Christians like you and I. He wasn't suggesting that you should maintain your salvation with works because you weren't saved by works in the first place. To do what that scripture said, you just need to obey the word&Spirit. Obedience to God remains a non-negotiable aspect of our faith which I've seen 'ES' preachers down-play. Luke9:62- Jesus made it clear that no man having put his hand in the plough and looking back is fit for the kingdom. 2- 'ES' teachings hold on to John10:28-29 saying that we can't be plucked from the hands of God. Yes, that is absolutely true because no man can do that when you're in God's hands but that's only IF you chose to abide, remain or stay in his hands. I think Adam and Eve still remains one of the most privileged in the OT to relate with God physically. We could say that they were literally in God's hands because his shekinah presence was in the garden of Eden but Adam&Eve didn't cooperate with God. They exercised the power of Choice and fell into sin. John15:2,6 said we should abide(remain) in Jesus( which means it is possible for a Christian not to abide). If we don't abide, that scripture says such a fellow would be thrown into the fire. Read it. That means, when a man is saved by grace and didn't fulfil Phil2:12- which enjoins us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling), such a believer is gone. To work out one's salvation is to mortify the works of the flesh through the Spirit: Rom8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but IF YE THROUGH THE SPIRIT DO MORTIFY the deeds of the body, ye shall live. KJV Rom6:12-LET NOT SIN( that's God giving us the responsibility of not allowing sin to rule us because it is our choice) therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Emphasis mine. Note: Paul was talking to believers in all of these scriptures. 3- We cannot die If we have eternal life. John11:26. Yes, we cannot die if we have eternal life and I believe it because the scripture say so but looking at other scriptures, we know that if you are not walking in love, the bible said such a fellow abideth in death. 1John3:14-15. To be balanced in doctrinal subjects, one must compare scriptures with scriptures and interprete a particular scripture in the light of another. You don't build doctrines on a verse and start a conference on it. There are believers who claim that they are living in the reality of eternal life yet, they live in hatred. You must note that whatever the scripture has said about us as new creations MUST NOT be in contrast to our life style. The 'ES' teachings have played-down on the issue of Christian life style and doesn't have regard for holy living. I once heard a popular American preacher asking 'If God said without holiness no man shall see the Lord?'. 4-' The gifts of God Are without repentance. Rom11:29. That implies that God can't take his gift from anyone he gives it. I've also said previously that we shouldn't base doctrinal beliefs on just a verse of the scripture because it is against the law of bible interpretation. What did Jesus say in Luke 19:26? 'For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.' So, when you read Rom11:29 in Isolation and you don't compare it with the scripture above, the truth remains hidden. I hope you know that Judas Iscariot would have been a part of the Apostolic council in the early church but because he voluntarily sold out to the devil, he lost his place amongst the twelve and he lost it. 5-Nothing Can separate us from the love of God. Rom8:38-39. This scripture is speaking about outside influences on our faith walk with God¬ about what we ourselves can do. While nobody else can separate us from God's love, we can depart from the love relationship that God desires with us. 1Tim4:1-Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times SOME SHALL DEPART FROM THE FAITH, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; If they were not in the faith, they wouldn't depart, that is very clear. That book was written to believers and it applies today. To say one cannot depart from the faith is to nullify the written word in the scripture because even right from the early church, there were people that departed from the faith. The mercy of God is DEEP but men shouldn't trample on God's grace and expect the Christian life to be on auto drive. John15:10- says 'If we keep God's commandments'. Apparently it is possible not to keep his commandments&fail to abide in His love. 6- We are born of incorruptible seed. 1Pet1:23. The Incorruptible seed is Christ Jesus or the word(John1:1,Luke8:11). But the underlining fact still remains that we must abide in him. John15:2,6,7,10. According the scripture above, if you don't abide, you shall be cast into the fire. Rev22:19- Apparently shows that someone whose name was in the book of life can be removed. Read it. 7- We are sealed with the HolySpirit.- Eph1:13-14. Truly we are sealed by the Spirit of God &adopted into his family but we are expected to bear fruit, lest we be removed. Matt25:30, John15:1-2, Rev3:5. 8- It is not the will of God to lose any of his children. John6:39. It is also the will of God for all to be saved but we know that not all would be saved because man is a free moral agent that can make his own choice. 9-'But we are saved apart from works, lest any man shall boast'. Eph2:9. This is 100% true and I preach this often. Our initial salvation doesn't require works but Vs10 of that same chapter made us know that we are created 'unto good works'. That is, our Christian lives must produce fruit of righteousness&goodness. James2:20 said if our faith doesn't yield good works, it is a dead faith. N:B- Works won't earn God's forgiveness but If our faith is genuine, it will prove itself and produce good works. 10- Salvation can't be lost. This is also one of the teachings of eternal security and I want everyone reading this piece to read Hebrews6:1-9, Heb10:26-29,38-39. The scriptures above gives the possibility of a Christian that is deep and has walked with God beyond the surface to lose his salvation. In fact, not all believers fall into the class listed in Heb6 because the bible is talking about those that have had unusual depths with God in our walk of faith but they lost it even without being able to come back to repentance popularly known as the unpardonable sin. You must understand that they wilfully committed the sin. That still brings us back to the power of choice. To say that a Christian can't backslide or lose his salvation because once he is saved, then he is forever saved is a teaching I won't accept because the scripture above is clear enough. CONCLUSION: This doesn't mean you'll be perfect as a Christian from the day you gave your life to Christ because the Christian life is a growing process but it is also completely unacceptable for a Christian to live a worldly lifestyle after years of being in the faith which is what the teachings of eternal security or once saved always saved doesn't care about. We are to be transformed into Christ's image daily. Cc: lalasticlala |

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been given a suspended one-match stadium ban and fined £50,000 following a misconduct charge from the Football Association over comments he made following the 3-1 defeat to Southampton. Mourinho has also been warned he faces further punishment for any more such outbursts within the next 12 months. The Portugese coach was unhappy at the decision not to award a penalty when, with the score at 1-1, forward Radamel Falcao was upended by Saints goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg, and criticised referee Robert Madley in postmatch media comments. The FA confirmed on Wednesday evening the Blues boss had accepted he had breached the regulations. "Jose Mourinho has been given a suspended one-match stadium ban and fined £50,000 after he admitted a breach of FA Rules in relation to postmatch media comments,'' a statement from the governing body read. "The Chelsea manager was charged for misconduct following the game against Southampton on Saturday 3 October 2015. "It was alleged his remarks constituted improper conduct in that they alleged and/or implied bias on the part of a match official or match officials and/or brought the game into disrepute. "Mr. Mourinho's suspended stadium ban will be immediately invoked should he be found by an Independent Regulatory Commission to have committed a further breach of FA Rule E3 for any comment or statement to or through the media before 13 October 2016." Following the defeat against the Saints, Mourinho gave a seven-minute flash television interview during which he lamented the calls from officials which went against his side. "I think it's time to be a little bit honest and to say clearly the referees are afraid to give decisions for Chelsea,'' he said. "The result was 1-1 when it was a huge penalty, and, once more, we didn't get one. And the penalty was a crucial moment in the game with the result 1-1. "And, I repeat, if the FA wants to punish me, they can punish me. They don't punish other managers, they punish me, but it's not a problem for me. "I want to repeat because I think my players deserve it, Chelsea fans deserve it, I am a Chelsea fan too, and I want to say it again: referees are afraid to give decisions to Chelsea." Chelsea have struggled for consistency this season, with the defending Premier League champions 16th in the table, already some 10 points behind leaders Manchester City ahead of this weekend's home clash with Aston Villa. http://m.espn.go.com/soccer/story?storyId=2663014&top&wjb= |
Que: Sir, the question on the use of jewelries, you didn't do justice to it. God told the Israelites to abandon the use of Jewelries in Ex.33:5-6 and Paul& Peter substantiated it in 1Tim2:9&1Pet3:3. I hope those verses are in your bible. ANS: Thank you for calling my attention to that scripture. We can't build doctrines on one or two scriptures without correlation with others. 1Pet3:3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of PLAITING THE HAIR, and of wearing of gold, or of PUTTING ON OF APPAREL; If you say that wearing of gold is sinful(which I think is what you're insinuating), that also means plaiting the hair and putting on of apparel is wrong as well because Peter said so but you know that if you don't put on apparel(cloth), we'll think a mad man is on the loose. To interpret that verse and that of Paul properly, there's a need to look at it from historical perspective&from a biblical perspective. In the time of Paul&Peter, most women in that era spent so much time on fashion to the extent that if a woman wanted to go to a party the next day, she would lace her hair with tiny strands of gold overnight. In a nutshell, they were gaudy and their attentions were just on fashion. Their motive for dressing was to draw attention to themselves which was and still very wrong. God doesn't want women to dress that way but he hadn't said it was wrong to use trinkets. Peter's emphasis was on the development of the inward man(vs 4) and that of Paul was on modesty(1Tim2:7-9). Let's check few scriptures: 1- Genesis24:47,48- Abraham's servant gave Rebecca a jewelry&he worshipped God after. It would be irreverent&unacceptable to worship if what he did(giving of Jewelry)was sinful. God won't accept it. 2-Gen41:42- Pharoah gave Joseph a ring&chain. We know that Joseph was a great man loved by God. Some use gold wedding ring, yet they preach against the wearing of gold, isn't that contradictory? 3- To answer your question about Ex33:5 -6, God commanded the Jews to remove their adornments as a sign of remorse&repentance. It was common those days that when people go to the house where people are mourning, they look remorseful by putting off all their adornment. God wasn't making it a law because if he was making it a law, then he wouldn't have demanded for offering of gold in Ex35:5. In Vs 22, they offered bracelets, earrings, tablets&all manners of gold unto the Lord(because God owns them). 4- Psalms25:12- David said "As an earring of gold and ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear". If earring or Jewelries were a sin, David(the man after God's heart) wouldn't have made a comparison between wise behaviour&something that is sinful. 5-Isaiah61:10 Righteousness&salvation were compared to bride adorned with jewelry. Would Isaiah compare a sinful thing to the righteousness&salvation of God? 6-Jer2:32 God compared forgetting about him to a maid who forgot her Jewelry. If it is sinful, would God have made such a comparison? 7-Ezek16:11-13 God says that he adorned Israel with bracelets, necklaces, earrings, Jewels&crowns. If God could do so, what makes it sinful? 8- Even in Luke15:22, Jesus told us that when the prodigal son returned to his father, he was given a ring. Conclusively, God didn't say that the use of those things are outlawed but it is wrong and sinful when the motive behind the use is wrong( to draw attention), when those things have become idols in your heart( a situation where you can't do without them) and when you're immodest in the usage(like piercing several holes in your ears). I pray that God's church all over the world would focus on purity of heart&Christ-like character as it is what God requires of us not on external observance like the Pharisees. Matthew5:8- Blessed are the PURE IN HEART for they shall SEE GOD. Kindly send your questions to: info@projectsaveng.org |
CONSIDER THESE BEFORE SAYING 'YES I DO'. 1 - Is he/she born again? 2Cor 6:14 Do not marry a man or a woman just because he is nice, salvation is key and very important. If you marry an unbeliever, the devil would be your father-in-law and demons would be your mother-in-law. 2- Is The Conviction Mutual? Before you say yes to any man, even if he claims that an angel revealed you to him in the dream, don't just say a yes if you are not convinced in your heart that he is your man. Don't be fooled by 'thus saith the Lord that you're my wife'. 3- Do we agree on certain scriptural truths? Amos3:3 Do we agree on issues like tithing, no sex before marriage, avoidance of alcohol, dressing and other foundational truths in the scriptures. 4- Is he/she matured? Maturity must encompass: Spiritual, emotional, physical, social&financial. 5- Does he/she have marriageable traits? Marriageable traits include: -Adaptability&flexibility -Empathy _Communication -Willingness to yield to a lifestyle different from what he/she was used to. -Willingness to accept God's word as final authority. 6- Are we Compatible&Complementary? -Purpose&Vision compatibility -Spiritual compatibility -Mental compatibility BBM Pin: 5685adb7 |
I have read a lot of articles about tithing as a practice that belongs to the era of the law of Moses but when reading the scriptures, it always advisable to balance the old with the new and not take one scripture out and build a doctrine on it. KNOW THIS FACTS 1- Abraham started tithing before the law of Moses came. In Genesis 14:20, were told that Abraham gave tithe of all unto a high priest called Melchizedec. This Melchizedek is a typology of Christ as we see in Hebrews7:1-3. 2- The book of Galatians3:7, 9 made it clear that we are Abraham's seeds and we are blessed along with Abraham. If Abraham our father in the faith tithed, then we his seeds should also tithe because his actions&life of faith was part of the reasons why righteousness was credited unto him. Permit me to say that he was the first man even under the old covenant that experienced the benefits of the life that Chrsit brought for us. Moses wasn't called the father of faith because he didn't have the kind of faith (faith that brings righteousness without works but by grace) that we have but Abraham did. 3- Tithing as a practice didn't start with Moses but with Abraham and it was imported into the law because God wanted it to be a continuous practice. Just as it was a sin to fornicate, kill and commit adultery before the laws were given Moses, so God instituted laws against such acts under Moses and even after, they were still forbidden. 4- Jesus didn't condemn tithing in Matthew23:23 but rather he was trying to say that the Pharisees should also give attention to weightier matters of the law: Justice&Mercy&faith without leaving others( tithing) undone. So he advocated that tithe should be paid and other virtues should be observed or practiced as well. 5- The book of Hebrews7:8 made it clear that tithe is collected by men who die( Levites- a typology of present-day pastors or those called into the ministry) but in the other case, by him who is declared to be living. That is, men that die collect tithes on behalf of the man that is living- Christ. Revelations1:18 declared Jesus to be the Living one. BBMpin: 5685adb7 |
MY PROPHECIES DID NOT COME TO PASS BECAUSE- APOSTLE SULEIMAN EXPLAINS My election prophecies didn’t come true because… – Apostle Suleman explains APRIL 25, 2015 by Anike Jacobs General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Johnson Suleman, who had earlier prophesied that many politicians who lost in the last election would win, has now explained why some of his prophecies didn’t come to pass. In a chat with the Punch Newspaper, he revealed that some politicians contacted him to reverse the prophecies. He urged Nigerians not to accuse him of being a fake prophet on the strength of this. “Let me tell you something about prophecies, they have leverages and you cannot judge prophecy except you have the spirit of prophecy. If you watch that prophecy manual, I said very clearly that President Jonathan would not win but that the man that would win would not be given. It was stated there. I said a few prophecies about some other people- (Ibikunle) Amosun, (Nasir) el Rufai, (Nyesom) Wike and some other people. Whether a prophecy is fulfilled or not depends on who it’s said about. Few of the people prophesied about contacted me. I don’t want to call names but they contacted me. You said I won’t get this or that, I want it. Can it be reversed?’ I said very well. If you are given certain prayers to make, prophecies can be reversed. If you’re given certain things to do, prophecies can be reversed. And actually, there were some people I never thought would reach out to me, those who were Muslims, those who were stubborn leaders, they contacted me. So, I told them ‘this is not about man, it’s about God. If you’re humble enough, we can pray about it.’ And we prayed. Like today especially, I’ve got messages from people who were happy and said ‘Oh, thank God, it was reversed.’” On how the election prophecy was reversed, he said, “Like that of the President, I saw him a month before the election and we talked one on one. All I told him was that he wouldn’t win. I personally told Jonathan to concede defeat. I told him he would save a lot of heads if he conceded defeat and left. I saw not less than half a million people without their heads. We have a President who has had two problems–he is politically naive and he doesn’t understand the concept of power. We have had a President who has a media team that doesn’t understand what they call ceasefire. I told the President one on one that his media team didn’t manage him well. I told him, he would not come back. I said the other people had not just got the will of the people, they had got the will of some ministers of God in the place of prayer and few of them had contacted certain ministers of God and we had sat down and discovered we needed change. Inasmuch as and with all due respect to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, that they are not the change that we need. So our President, the prophecy came for him but he wriggled himself out of it. So prophecies have been given and as they are given, people are now becoming wise, especially when they have seen the accuracy of some prophecies. They would say before I become a victim, let me contact this man. And when they do that, they get the prophecies reversed and it’s not in our place as ministers of God to talk.” On El Rufai’s win despite his prophecy of losing at the election. “Can you ask me what happened in Amosun’s case that I said he would win and he won? Can you ask me what happened in Wike’s case that I said he would win and he won? Can you ask me what happened in Ayo Fayose’s case that I said I saw him being threatened and removed and presently he’s going through an impeachment process? So if we could discuss positives. Like I said, when a prophecy is given, you can wriggle yourself out of it. And let me say something, I’m not tying this to an individual–that you won an election doesn’t mean you have been sworn in. On battling the embarrassment that resulted after Goodluck Jonathan lost the election: “I read in the paper and even online that I said President Jonathan would win the election. That to me was a lie that was concocted from hell because I don’t understand where that came from. I never said that. Even the Sunday (a day after the presidential election) while the results were still being collated, I said these people would not win but let’s hope (Gen. Muhammadu) Buhari (retd.) will rule because I don’t see Buhari ruling and even if he rules, I don’t see him lasting in power. I repeated it and some of the APC leaders contacted me, I told them verbatim that God told me this man is not well and that you people are evil. You could have brought somebody else. Don’t drain life out of this man because you have an agenda to push this man forward. Nobody should die for Nigeria. Nigeria will keep being Nigeria no matter how many lives are lost. So those pastors who gave the prophecies know where they heard them (from). It’s a spiritual matter which is very dicey. Some of the pastors said he would win, some even said what would happen after he wins. I think they have the public to face for an answer. And I will not expect the people to judge them because some of these pastors have given prophecies that came to pass before. Before people now believe them to that extent, there must have been some things they said that came to pass. When certain things are not going the way some people prophesied, they shouldn’t be judged. People should only know that ‘this time, he missed it, so let’s hope next time he gets it right.’ He insists he gets his prophecies from God: “You don’t blame people when they don’t see what you see or understand you. Inasmuch as there are prophets who have abused some things. A man says he’s a prophet, he has three wives. A man says he is a prophet, he drinks. A man says he’s a prophet, he charges money for prayers. A man says he’s a prophet and he collects money from people to prophesy for them. So prophetic ministry has been abused but being smelly in an area doesn’t mean there is no soap factory. It means the people have not gone to get the soap and apply it on themselves. I grew up with the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa. He was not, as it were, a prophet. He was not prophetic, telling you predictions and all that. He didn’t do that, so you should understand my pedigree; where I’m coming from. I didn’t come from a background where you would be told that this would happen tomorrow, so I didn’t like it. The day every prophecy you give comes to pass 100 per cent, you have become God. And I think 46 out of 50 is a pass mark. If a man gives 50 predictions and 40 of them come to pass, that is a pass mark. When 100 per cent of your prophecies are fulfilled, you are not a human being, you have become God and when you have become God, you don’t need to be in this world anymore. God will take you home. So when people tell me you said this, I would say what about this and that that happened? They would say I think it’s true. So I tell them, let’s focus on the things that happened. And let me say something to you. Not all prophecies given in a year get fulfilled that year. In 2013, I prophesied that the former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, would become the Emir of Kano. Then he was CBN governor. I had never been so haunted in my life as I was at the time. Bloggers abused me. Some said they had to verify my certificate, some said they had to check if I was well schooled. They said how on earth could a CBN governor become the Emir of Kano when the Ado Bayero had sons to succeed him? It came to pass in 2014. So that’s why I said you have to study prophecy. If you don’t study prophecies, you can’t understand prophecies. There are prophecies of 2012 that are happening now. If they don’t come to pass that year, it may be the following year but we have to be calm. But when you have a vendetta against prophecies, if you don’t see them come to pass, you get angry and attack the prophet. Oh, by the way, he also revealed how president Goodluck Jonathan once brought down his church over his prophecy. “In 2012, I said I saw a new president. That was the last prophecy for that year. It was a prophecy of 2012 that was to be out in 2013. So in 2013, I prophesied again that he should not run, that I saw violence. On January 1 of that year, they brought down my church. Jonathan dismantled my church in Abuja. He hit me seriously. They just came and marked it. On what grounds are you marking it? Nothing. So when people like Father Mbaka said they were threatened, I just laughed because I was not threatened, I was actually hit. They brought down the whole building and told us to leave. We tried to get another land but everyone we approached said they were being threatened. “ SOURCE ynaija.com/apostle-johnson-suleiman-explains-prophecy-election-failed-come-pass/ |

HOW RIGHt IS ETERNAL SECURITY?Pt6 The proponents of eternal security believe that a Christian cannot go to hell no matter what he/she does. They also advocate that once you're saved, you're forever saved and cannot lose your salvation. Below are some of their beliefs. 10- Salvation can't be lost. HOW RIGHt IS ETERNAL SECURITY?Pt5 The proponents of eternal security believe that a Christian cannot go to hell no matter what he/she does. They also advocate that once you're saved, you're forever saved and cannot lose your salvation. Below are some of their beliefs. That is, our Christian lives must produce fruit of righteousness&goodness.. James2:20 said if our faith doesn't yield good works, it is a dead faith. N:B- Works won't earn God's forgiveness but If our faith is genuine, it will prove itself and produce good works. To be continued... |
Projectsave Devotional Sunday 19th April 2015. HE WON'T TARRY Heb10:37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. KJV Right from when I grew in church as a boy, I've always heard my pastors make remarks like 'If Jesus tarries, we shall meet here next week' and other forms of statements that carries the phrase 'If Jesus tarries'. That has become a tradition in most centres when trying to make announcement about something that is coming ahead. Now, with my little understanding of the scriptures, I see that Christ's coming won't tarry any longer and what we're talking about can happen anytime from now. The scripture said in Heb10:37 that he that shall come shall come. In fact, Jesus said that he's coming quickly (Rev22:7). You need to know that Christ may come before you finish reading this devotional. I don't want us to live a careless life with the notion that Christ's coming is something that is in the distant future. It is not in the distant future but rather a thing that can happen anytime. Remember, the coming of the son of man would meet a lot of people unawares just as the foolish virgins were caught unprepared, don't be caught unprepared. Let's live ready, he that shall come shall come very soon. He won't tarry. PRAYER: Father, I receive grace to live ready so that I won't miss the rapture of the saints In Jesus Name. HOW RIGHt IS ETERNAL SECURITY?Pt4 The proponents of eternal security believe that a Christian cannot go to hell no matter what he/she does. They also advocate that once you're saved, you're forever saved and cannot lose your salvation. Below are some of their beliefs. The mercy of God is DEEP&but men shouldn't trample on God's grace and expect the Christian life to be on auto drive. Read it. To be continued... www.projectsaveng.org |
Projectsave Devotional Saturday, 18th April 2015. HE WILL PERFORM HIS WORD Jer1: 12 Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. Recently, I was teaching on faith and I had to butress on the importance of God's word in our faith walk. Faith only begins when the word is found. There's no faith without God's word as the foundation. God spoke to Prophet Jeremiah that what he would perform is his words not our tears or screaming. The mistake most believers make when they approach the place of prayer is to pray without committing God to the word he has spoken as regards an issue that needs divine attention. When you want to pray for healing, the scriptural thing to do is to find a scripture that promises you healing and build your faith around it. That's how to get result in prayer. Also, while praying, let God and the devil hear you speak out the word of God that promise your desired change. The devil is afraid of God's word while God is happy to perform his word because he knows that if he doesn't do what he has said, his integrity is on the line. So for this reason and many more, God is always eager to act on his word. Pray with a word from the scripture and don't change your confession even when the circumstance is negative. PRAYER: I receive your word with gladness, let it profit me In Jesus name. www.projectsaveng.org |
HOW RIGHt IS ETERNAL SECURITY?Pt3 The proponents of eternal security believe that a Christian cannot go to hell no matter what he/she does. They also advocate that once you're saved, you're forever saved and cannot lose your salvation. Below are some of their beliefs. Holy living is non-negotiable. Remember, he was with Jesus during his earthly ministry but he made a choice to fall out. To be continued... |
HOW RIGHT IS ETERNAL SECURITY? Pt2. Yesterday, we were able to establish some salient scriptural facts on the fact that a believer can backslide and fail in grace which is opposed to the teachings of eternal security. For those that are just reading this article of mine, the issue of eternal security is an issue that must be clearly explained from scriptures. Eternal security teaches that a Christian can't backslide neither can a Christian go to hell no matter what he does. Are these assertions true? Let's look at some of the 'ES' beliefs to see if it aligns with God's word. SOME ETERNAL SECURITY BELIEFS 2- 'ES' teachings hold on to John10:28-29 saying that we can't be plucked from the hands of God. To work out one's salvation is to mortify the works of the flesh through the Spirit and to live in constant obedience to God: Rom8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but IF YE THROUGH THE SPIRIT DO MORTIFY the deeds of the body, ye shall live. |
Projectsave Devotional Thursday, 16th April 2015. FOLLOW WITH WISDOM Isaiah3:12-'... O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths'. Sometimes ago in one of our campuses here in South-west Nigeria, a group of believers were led to do strange things that caught the attention of the media. They were led into error by someone they respected as their leader but they gullibly followed him. They were taught that there are recipes of food to eat if they want to hear from heaven. Some of them stopped attending classes&were not serious with exams. Their leader told them that they would buy a bus and tag it 'Acts of the prophets'. They claim that they will pass because they can make the supernatural work in their favour. The straw that broke the camel's back was when they went into the forest looking for rapture. After several days, they were famished and a local hunter found them. The whole campus shook because it came as a wave of surprise to everyone. God is against leaders that cause people to err. I want you to be close to your bible so that you can discern the leaders that have erred and lead others to err. Most times, there's just a thin line between the truth&heresy. You need to follow any leader with wisdom. Take your spiritual sieve around with you and sieve out anything you can't confirm from God's word. PRAYER: Father, I would not be led astray In Jesus Name. Amen. |
HOW RIGHT IS ETERNAL SECURITY?Pt1 Now, my understanding of eternal security from several teachers and preachers over the years is such that I find a little inconsistent with what I've read in the bible. Obedience to God remains a non-negotiable aspect of our faith which I've seen some 'ES' preachers down-play. Luke9:62- Jesus made it clear that no man having put his hand in the plough and looking back is fit for the kingdom. To be continued... |
Projectsave Devotional Tuesday, 14th April 2015. DON'T DRAW BACK Heb10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. KJV Recently I read some articles that raised my spiritual alertness on certain perceived errors. In one of such articles, the writer was insinuating that if a Christian backslides, then he wasn't a Christian in the first place because once you are in salvation, your salvation is intact.(Just paraphrasing). Then immediately, I remembered 'Bro Demas', the apostolic companion of Paul. 2Tim4:10-' For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica;'. Demas at a time had a walk with God and he was part of Paul's ministry( Col4:14,Philemon1:24). He was co-labourer with Paul but he drew back. I want you to know that it is not God's pleasure for any of his children to draw back. If any does, it is not God's fault because the God-ward side has been done. Today, I am admonishing you and also giving an instruction to myself that 'don't draw back'. There's a wind blowing this end-time that wants to pull-down the devotion of believers to the Lord. That wind has killed the zeal of some for God and things that pertains to him. You need to ask for grace to stand till he comes. PRAYER: I receive grace to stand firm in Christ¬ draw back In Jesus name. You can be a ministry volunteer under our ministry, register at: www.projectsaveng.org. |
Projectsave Devotional Monday, 13th April 2015. THE LEADER'S HEART Phil2:4- Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. NLT I was teaching about leadership recently, one of the striking characteristics of a leader is that they must have the interest of others at heart. What makes a real leader is the ability to live for others and to be able to sacrifice for them. That is the heart of a real leader. The leadership problem of Africa is traceable to the fact that the ruling class most times is always interested in self alone and not for the people. That is why you'll see a man embezzle the money that can better the lot of generations to come. They expose their supporters to danger and arm them to the teeth as political thugs but their children are in Europe or America enjoying. Real leaders always have the genuine interest of others at heart. They serve the people without expectation of personal gains. Jesus is an example of a real leader. He sacrificed his life for our benefit not for his. He didn't need salvation because he is deity. If you will become the leader that everyone admires, develop a genuine heart that is interested in the people. Leadership is an art that can be learnt, developed and nurtured. Let real leadership start from your home. PRAYER: Father, I receive grace to develop the leader's heart In Jesus name. Amen. www.projectsaveng.org |
Projectsave Devotional Sunday 12th April 2015. REPRESENT YOUR COUNTRY Phil1:27 Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ...NLT When people travel to other nations of the world, their passport is one of the things that reveals their identity. There are certain areas or places dominated by people from a particular country. Their behaviour, food and life-style depicts where they come from. Some even organise cultural day just to identify with their root. As a believer, we are from heaven and we must represent our country. Our life style must reflect where we came from. There's a way we talk, dress, relate and worship where we came from. I know that would surprise some people. The bible is a manual from heaven on how to live here on earth. Somoene said bible is 'basic instruction before leaving earth'. It is an instructional manual. Jesus was bold to tell the Pharisees that he wasn't from this earth and that turned the Pharisees against him. He was an ambassador of the father on this earth and he represented well. The wisdom that operated in him was way out of this world. Always connect to heaven to receive instructions on how to conduct yourself here on earth. One day, we shall go home. Represent your country. PRAYER:- Father, I receive grace to represent heaven well In Jesus name. Amen Volunteers are needed to be part of our ministry. Log on to: www.projectsaveng.org |
Projectsave Devotional Saturday, 11th April 2015. HANDLING DIFFICULT TIMES 2Tim3:1 You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. 2 For people will love only themselves and their money...NLT Somtimes ago, I read about a church where first timers were entertained with alcohol. I saw it in the dailies. There were varieties of beer, spirits and other assorted alcoholic drinks there. Somehow, I know that alcoholics will make the numbers in that church because it is a gathering of like-minds. This is end-time, nothing should come as a surprise to us but rather, we should be prepared to handle what comes our way. The motivation for misbehaviour, crimes and lawlessness is the love of money, power and fame. Some churches aren't exempted in this. The end-time wind is blowing many believer who used to be on track out of track. Are you still on track? The best way to handle the difficult times that we find ourselves is to be alert and prayerful. The subtle ways the devil penetrates sometimes looks harmless but we must be on guard to stop him. Take time to do a self-appraisal of your life&ask yourself, is this how I started my Christian journey? Do I still have that zeal, devotion&commitment I once had? Sincere answers are needed. The way is still narrow, trace it and go back to the ancient path where you started the journey. PRAYER: Father, the end-time wind won't blow me away In Jesus Name. Amen |
