This post is not a complete truth, I rarely comment on NL but this particular post got me. I understand that most private universities don't have the infrastructures and history public universities have but there are certain facts you must know. 1- The lecturers in private universities are products of public universities who are teaching the same curriculum they learnt in the public universities to private university students. If that is the case, what is the difference in the content of what they both are learning? 2- Not all private universities have iron-clad rules, some are liberal e.g. Igbinedion University,Okada and you can be sure that they'll produce mature minds just like their public university counterpart because they have the freedom and exposure. 3- To say that products of private universities are better academically is a myopic view from an academic eye suffering from Astigmatism of reality. Covenant university graduates had the largest number of scholars in the last FG scholarship exam here in Nigeria, their public university counterpart were trailing behind them. 4- Damilola Sunday made a First Class in Law in Igbinedion University, Law School(breaking records od years) and now in Harvard as one of the few Nigerians privileged to attend by scholarship. It is not about the school, its about you. 5- Labour market no longer respects school name, a lot of UI,Unilag,OAU,UNN, UNIBEN graduates are jobless while some of this private uni guys are riding on exotic cars as corporate persons. Pray poverty out of your life so that you can afford what is good for you.

We are making a serious mistake here, there shouldn't be an interfaith meeting without the CAN president not in attendance. The way the catholic is going about this thing will divide Christians and give us away to this Islamic radicals. The devil has always used the disunity in the body of Christ to decimate us, read what happened to Christians in Turkey.

DON'T IGNORE PARENTAL COUNSEL

Prov15:5 It is foolish to ignore what your parents taught you; it is wise to accept their correction.

Everyone born into this world must have two types of parents and they are:
(A) Biological parent
(B) Spiritual parent.

These two have very important roles they play in our lives and we must not ignore them. Let me dwell more on our biological parent in this piece. No matter how spiritual you are, God has put certain life instructions into the mouth of your parents.

I've heard of couples that married without parental consent. They got married because their pastor gave them the go ahead, that's totally unscriptural. If your parents are pagans, you must seek their consent in life's major decision so that you don't run into trouble.

Do you know that God can speak through your unsaved parents? Yes he can, the only time you're permitted to disobey them is when they give you an instruction that is anti-God. Respect your biological parent, listen to them because they are the vehicle through which you came into this world.

PRAYER:- Father, help me to obey parental counsel that is in accordance to your will In Jesus Name.

The problem of an average African is said to be in our lack lustre attitude towards reading. Knowledge is very key in life, you must be an avid reader of books that will help your destiny.

Truly you can't read all the books in the bookstore because not all books are meant for you but there are books that have been written to solve certain problems ignorance have caused in your life.

Don't let a month pass you by without reading a good book, no matter how small it is. Study so that you won't be stupid. Don't spend all your money on make-ups,jewelries, etc. Empty your pocket into your brain, it pays.

ACTION: Beauty without intelligence is just a display of cosmetic foolishness. Read

HOW TO HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR Pt.10

YOU NEED CLEAR-CUT GOALS

Phil3:14- I press toward the mark for the prize...

A goal is a definite target that contributes to the fulfilment of God's vision for your life, you also need to set personal goals for yourself in certain areas like your spiritual life, finances, academics, relationships, etc.

You need to know what you want to achieve each day, week and months of your life this year. A goal must have a deadline. Playing football without a goal post is a waste of energy.

Let your goals be SMART( Specific,Measurable,Attainable,Realistic&Time-based). You must commit it to writing for reference purposes. Mark each goal as you attain them.

ACTION: List the most important goals this year and write out steps you'll take to achieve each of them.

When I watched the highlight of the three players, the only difference was that Mikel didn't have much goals like they did. I think in all ramification and achievement last year, Mikel deserves it but he probably lost because he doesn't have goals to back up his skills.

It is very unfortunate that the scheme has claimed lots of lives because of our unstable security and destablized economy. If properly managed, I recommend NYSC to all graduates, it is an avenue to network with friends and it gave some people the opportunity to know Christ better through NCCF.

I was there in 2010, what an awesome experience. NYSC without NCCF is nothing. I believe NYSC hasn't been cancelled because NCCF is the reason for her existence and NCCF has a big role to play this end time in reaching the unreached.

Those that do not celebrate progress will never make progress.

I'm yet to see a very clear difference in Nigerian schools esp the univerisities because they are all recycled,thesame lecturers that teach in private uni's also teach in Fed. Uni's. There are so many students in govt. Uni's fighting for few resources and equipment but that is not so in private uni's.

To be sincere, some years back, a law graduate from Igbinedion university shocked Nigerian law school by graduating with a first class and later proceeded to Harvard and still making waves. Damilola Sunday is the name. Build youself to be good and stop giving glory to any govt. School, the glory is gone.

You are what you make yourself to be not a school.

MORE THAN SEX BUT...

1Cor7:9- But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

Yea, Paul said we should marry if we 'no fit' hold body, it is the plain truth but I must also tell you that marriage is much more than sex. If you're marrying to safe guard your destiny by staying pure, you're on track and God understands.

If you're marrying just because you want a legal go-ahead to have sex, you will be tired in less than a year or two and your marriage will lack shine. Paul wasn't advising sex-addicts to marry or play-boys, his advice was to those that have controlled passion over-time(not for those that have lost control) and has reached an elastic limit that was why he said 'BUT IF THEY CANNOT CONTAIN', I.e they've been controlling passion over time but now something must be done.

If you can't control yourself, marriage won't help you either. You must allow the HolySpirit to work on you first before venturing into marriage. Don't use Paul's advice as an excuse to rush into marriage when you haven't dealt with the flesh.

MARRIAGE IS MORE THAN SeX.

SCHOOL OF WISDOM- KNOWLEDGE

Pr10:14- Wise men store up KNOWLEDGE...

Knowledge has to do with gathering of information, it is the opposite of ignorance. In the school of wisdom, knowledge can be acquired either through divine impartation, wise counsel, reading or by observation.

Knowledge is the bedrock&starting point in growing in wisdom. The more of knowledge you store, the wiser you become, we can say that knowledge is directly proportional to wisdom provided understanding is constant.

The devotionals you're reading now, the anointed books in the bookstore and the message you hear are all avenues by which knowledge can be imparted. Most Africans don't read, anointing isn't a substitute for knowledge, go for the needed knowledge today.

ACTION: Locate an area of your life where you are knowledge-deficient, buy books that can enlighten you and act on the information.

PRAYER OF SALVATION

'Father, forgive me of my sins, I accept&confess. Christ as my Lord&personal saviour In Jesus Name.

It is a pity that Nigerians love sensationalism and gossip.
I was present in that meeting and I can boldy tell you that Baba Adeboye, God's servant DID NOT FORCE ANYBODY TO DONATE neither did he CAJOLE anybody.

To think that there are Nigerians that can't give 1billion naira without a criminal record is just a myopic statement.

Don't say what you don't know so that you don't attract a curse on you. Don't you think that such a project may ease the traffic gridlock if the auditorium is shifted inside with lots of entries into the camp from Lagos and Ogun axis? Think.

You are talking about unemployment, that project will put food on someone's table, the contractor will employ both skilled and unskilled labour. It may be you or your family members.

Let's get it right, God is the judge of His servants, as long as they didn't force you to give, keep mute.

God help Nigeria.
