The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has suspended the use of the National Identification Number for registration for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination UTME. The registrar of JAMB, Ishaq Oloyede, who stated this while briefing journalists in Abuja on Saturday, said the move was to provide more time for candidates to get their national identification numbers. He said the suspension was also to address the technical challenges experienced at some centres. He asked candidates to disregard the use of NIN for the 2020 registration and strictly comply with other procedures for the registration. He however said that JAMB will consider the use of NIMC for 2021 exams. The board last year said from 2020, candidates will register for its examinations with their national ID numbera to solve the challenges of multiple registration. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/372163-just-in-jamb-suspends-use-of-nin-for-2020-exams.html |
Train yourself to keep mind off food until you become used to not craving for food. I think it's largely psychological. And watch your diets too. Some foods digest quite easily. |
A helpful info. Thanks. |
Why is unity eluding the SW region? Instead of uniting to confront the common enemy, everyone is arrogating superior knowledge to themselves. |
Obviously, the poor woman is deeply frustrated. The husband can help stop her suffering by simply mending his ways. No good husband will be delighted seeing her wife going through this. However, the wife shouldn't have accosted the lady in the public or anywhere at all. It's a wrong approach. |

The judgement is unambiguous. The Appeal Court may have faulted the procedure adopted by the lower court (the Tribunal) in awarding victory to Governor Seyi MAKINDE, however, it gave a nod to the Tribunal judgement that Governor MAKINDE won the 9th March, 2019 gubernatorial election. As it stands now, neither party needs approach the Supreme Court as there is no reason for doing so. Since the Appeal Court did not invalidate the lower court's judgement, the status quo remains and this serves the PDP well and makes going to the Supreme Court absolutely unnecessary. And for the APC candidate, approaching the Supreme Court will amount to nothing since he has no judgement from the Appeal Court to take with him. As a matter of fact, as stated in judgement, the effluxion of time will not allow any court revisit the judgement at the Tribunal. So, in effect, Governor Seyi Makinde remains the duly elected Executive Governor of Oyo State. |
Thanks to the BBC journalists for unraveling this. This is pure inhumanity. The faces behind this dastard act should be exposed. |

We need more states in the South West. Oyo State must be split into three. We deserve it. Then Ogun and Osun states into two each. That will be true restructuring. |
Brooke60:You did well. Kudos. |
RUGA is no, no, no in the South West including Kwara, Kogi and Edo states. |

Amidst the alleged rape controversy, I think it's proper to draw our attention to the way we commonly use the word 'sorry' which is supposed to be a very weighty word. The word sorry comes with a legal weight and whoever is using it must do so advisedly. In this country when someone coughs in front of you or hit their heads against the wall in your presence, you say sorry to them as if you caused their misfortune. Saying sorry means admission of guilt. This is why it's necessary to point it out to Simi, Adesua and Banky W that they all goofed for saying sorry to Mrs. Busola Dakolo when they didn't have a hand in the alleged crime the COZA pastor is accused of. Hear them: Simi said, “I’m sorry this is even your truth at all. God bless you. You’re strong.” Adesua Etomi said, “Busola, I am so sorry. My heart is with you. May healing from speaking the truth come and may it calm the storm within. You are so brave. I love you.” “We are all here for you,” Davido said. Banky W said, “This was so hard to watch. I am so sorry you went through this nightmare. But I am so proud of you for sharing your truth. You didn’t speak up for yourself alone, but for all the voiceless victims who have suffered similar horrors at the hands of predators like him. Sending love, light and support your way. We are standing by you and Timi Dakolo. God bless, protect and strengthen you. Stay strong. You are incredible.” |
Dear Ben Murray Bruce, every course is useful for the country. If you are talking of our immediate needs, that's a different thing. It's only in this country that we don't fully harness our resources. Don't forget these sciences STEMMED from courses like philosophy. We need our universities to develop human capacities in different areas Thanks. |
Mohammed Morsi was the democratically elected president of Egypt before he was ousted by the military which brought phantom charges against him. FFK should stop turning history upside down. |
Corruption: I’ll Surrender My Immunity If Found Guilty, Says New Oyo state Governor. BY SAHARAREPORTERS, NEW YORKJUN 10, 2019 Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State says his administration will soon establish an anti-corruption agency in the state and that he is ready to give up his immunity if found guilty of any corrupt practices. A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, quoted the governor as saying this on Sunday during a two-day induction programme organised for members-elect of the 9th Oyo State House of Assembly. He said the plan for the establishment of the agency was part of his administration’s readiness to fight graft. He disclosed that the lawmakers would get a bill seeking to establish the Oyo State Anti-Corruption Agency immediately after the inauguration. According to the statement, when the agency is established, it will be empowered to beam its searchlight on individuals and government institutions in the state. Makinde expressed readiness to waive his immunity and appear before the agency if found wanting. “The first Executive Bill we are bringing to you is for us to set up an Anti-Corruption Agency for Oyo State. And I will waive my immunity, if I am found not to be above board, to face that agency,” he stated. The governor also promised to work with the state assembly to guarantee financial autonomy to local government administration. On security, Makinde said his government was determined to make the state one of the safest in the country by coming up with measures to tame insecurity. He disclosed that his government already had a blueprint on the security sector, adding that his colleagues in the South/West were also working in the same direction. According to him, the decision to proscribe the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) a few days after taking office was borne out of the resolve to ensure that the state was not held to ransom by a few individuals. He implored the members-elect to work towards a cordial relationship with the executive. Makinde disclosed that his administration had four major areas to focus on, which included economy, agriculture, poverty alleviation and infrastructure development. “We want to expand our economy and lift as many of our people as possible out of poverty. “We want to use agriculture to expand the economy. It is not by just saying it; we have to see real action and most of our infrastructure will be made to target our economy and we need to work together on this,” the governor stated. |
