9jaArea:This is the most honest and funniest submission I've read here so far |
For someone that moves from church to church needing validation by Christ and Christians, what is he looking for with the Ogbonis of Yorubaland? Shows he is ready to dine with the devil to maintain the status quo. |
I know this lady very well. She lives in Manchester, England and I see her dressed like this to every party in town. She's a single mum I heard so don't be surprised. |
I knew this guy from way back when he used to live in London. Na real alatika.......London returnee that got involved in so many shady deals, went to jail and returned to naija. His story is not different to that of ibori. |
Excuse my typographical error in the above...meant to say that ! But I'm eminently.... |
Obama is a law professor without a PhD as well as Clinton. Wole Soyinka and Chinua Achebe are also our local examples. He should go and find something useful to do with his time. I'm a lecturer in clinical medicine here in the UK and I've not been found wanting without a PhD button I'm eminently qualified to teach as a consultant. |
The ASSU member complaining has a paucity of knowledge and exposure and he's yet to recover from the trauma of having some his colleagues PhDs withdrawn by LASU authorities. |
[color=#006600][/colour I'm sure that most of the people castigating this prof are not familiar with the workings of the academic environment. You don't need a PhD to become a prof. This is the practice all over the world. I'm a doctor in the UK and there are several colleagues who are profs without a PhD to their names. It's only in Nigeria that paper qualifications are celebrated. As a matter of fact, you don't need one if you are a medical consultant except you decided to veer into another field entirely. |
I pity this country called nigeria and I weep deeply for her too. This is the only place in the world where religious people will be cheating the congregation and showing it to them. Must religion form the basis of our life? What happens to simplicity. Hundreds of thousands of Nigerians are suffering daily and most do not even know where their next meal is going to come from yet we celebrate poverty in such ambience of religious ignorance. God will surely judge these people. Thousands of people in warri are yet to recover from the effects of the flood that have ravaged their lives and environment, instead of this so called men of God to concentrate on improving the lives of these people, they keep deceiving themselves that poverty stricken church members contributed money to buy and maintain a private jet so he can join the league of jet owners. God is watching sha and I believe he will visit them at his time. |
this can never happen in any african country. its like corruption and indignity is coded into our genes. Look at any black nation across the world and tell me which has made any progress; infact its like we are made up of everything thats retrogressive in nature. South africa that is supposed to be the hope of africa started making a reverse turn the moment power changed hands into our dear brothers' hands. |
i am a yoruba myself and do not really understand the rationale behind all these unnecessary controversy. i do not like GEJ but i guess this is the best thing he's done all his life as president and commander in chief. Tell me what's in name? when ds man was alive he spent part of his wealth on the downtrodden and students and educational institutions across the country and this is what he gets as a result? this country is not worth dying for at all. |
any yoruba man or woman that is against this name change is A BASTARD AND A HYPOCRITE as i do not understand this anymore; during june 12 we all cried ''on june12 we stand'', and i'm so surprised at what this name change is generating now. |
