Not really, conflict between partners where things get physical isn't unique, and if this is even Jarus' first incident, I'd say they've had a pretty solid marriage.

When things like this happen though, people try as much as possible to downplay it or keep it private, not snitch on themselves and double-down by calling in radio stations trying to give justifications that'd make your situation even look worse.

Jarus called in to the radio station to give his side of the story. Even in the call in, he explained what led to the "beating" which was him being under attack.

This doesn't justify the beating per say but that's the full context of the angle Jarus took.

Unless Kiki can get the wife to go against him, it's a dead end and should end there.

As far as we know, before this issue happened, Jarus has only been married once so I really dont know who exactly Kiki is hoping to come forward for domestic abuse. Maybe their former domestic staffs or ex girlfriends?

While you are right that the law says he must be charged to court within 48hours, the law also permit the police to continue to remand him in police custody for investigation by getting a court order from the court to hold him for extended number of days. I'm not saying that's what's happening in this case, just putting it out there.
