Yeah we have dead woods that need to be offloaded no doubt. We could definitely do with some upgrades especially with regards to some of the old guards.

However, we cannot play badly vs the likes of Hull then blame the loss on the presence of Maguire and Shaw.

If beating 10 man Everton at OT is now perceived as a request for the manager to perform miracles, i really don't know what to say again.

If you read my post again, you will notice I said Amorim a Carrick incompetence aside.

My point is simple, while the manager might be incompetent, it doesn't excuse the foolishness of some of our players. When you buy new players into a dysfunction squad, sooner rather than later they will copy whatever culture they meet on ground. For a team to function optimally, all section must play their part well, if the midfield is moving high up the pitch and defense still stays deep in their box, it will leave enormous gaps for the midfielders to cover should they lose the ball.

Football is all about who wants it the most, if you don't put in the efforts, you will not beat Hull City even if you have better players on paper. You need to understand this.

What we should be advocating for is good manager + good players and a board who will give the manager freedom to run the team as their own without interference. Once the board start interfering, it will begin to undermine the manager and before you know it, the players start doing whatever they like, that's wher Player FC get their powers from.

Finally, other sensible teams knows how to negotiate and sell players, maybe our own board should get competent people too so we can move on from players quickly and get new ones in.

And to finally put a stop to the repeated myth here, hiring and firing at will hasn't help most clubs especially in the PL. All clubs that has achieved consistent success in the EPL has been club with stability of managers. Post SAF, the successful teams has been the teams with stable managers

And currently Arsenal are reaping the benefits of staying the course with Arteta.

Since Chelsea began their hiring and firing at will, they haven't won the league in close to 10yrs. Is that the model we too want to continue on?

Like odizzey rightly said, when we are actually serious about building a team, we will calm down and let a manager actually build a team and give the process time. Till then we can continue to hire and fire and see where it will lead us. It's already 13yrs without a league title, let's keep reliving the old memories instead of forging ahead.

Was this not the same thing I was talking during Amorim time? Away from Amorim and Carrick incompetence, we have to be honest about the level of our players too and not expecting managers to do miracles.

Look at City, they bought Tijjani Rejinders, Nico and Marmoush within 2yrs and they have offloaded them because they were not performing as they expected. When KDB legs were gone, they didn't waste time to move him on but at this club we'll continue to pamper average Joe's while laying all blames at the feet of the managers.

Another manager will come, we'll still be parading Maguire x Licha as starting CBs with Shaw and Dalot as full backs and we'll be wondering why we still concede goals in loads.

Have you seen our buildup? It doesn't involve much running. Those running every game time are the wingers. Our play is so laborious that teams just waltz through our midfield like knife through butter.
