We did it with Murtough who joined us from Everton as Academy Director and we promoted twice to Director of Football, a job he had never done before. .

We did it with Fletcher who was promoted from U-16s coach to 1st team coach to technical director within 5 months.

We have now done it with Wilcox who was Academy Director at Man City in 2023 and essentially had gotten a double promotion to Director of Football at Man Utd by 2025. All with no evidence of success or competence at either the TD role or the DOF role.

We are consistently appointing people with no track record of success in the roles they are given to come in and stabilize a sinking ship.

Cunha has always had inconsistent work rate since his Wolves days. He had one of the highest walking percentages in the league in his last season with Wolves.

He presses when he wants and walks when he wants and it is not about how critical the situation is but how his mood is at that moment.

He lacks tactical discipline as well.
