The season he was sacked, he had 31pts from 20 games, is that the improvement?

It is for both. Like I mentioned to odizzey those very bad result of the previous season leave him (Amorim) with zero leverage when results didn't improve as we all wanted.

He even had a loss record, he managed 63 games, won 24, lost 26 and draw 13. That's a poor return.

If you limit it to the premier League, he managed 47 games, won 15, lost 19 and draw 13. Still a poor return.

I do accept that maybe we should've given him more time but the result didn't lie and the sack was deserved.

Your GK gets the ball, you feel relieved and then under 5 secs of shooting the ball to absolutely nobody, your team is suddenly all over the place chasing down opponents to get the ball again and should the ball ever get to your GK, you know if he attempts a long pass the dreadful process restarts automatically.

We all know uncle Lammens dey try, but would it be too much to ask for him to be taken on special shooting sessions make he at least dey shoot contestable long passes

The problem is not Lammens per se because that guy can actually play with the ball at his feet, the problem is the tactics we employ and the fact that we have sluggish and snail paced players as CBs.

Just like you, I don't understand why he's usually pinging the ball up wide to Cunha who can't win an aerial duel to save his life but just look at the opposite when we try to play out of the back and the opposition presses us, you'll see how panicky and disoriented our CBs are and our midfielders will be hiding behind their opponent instead of moving into space to show up for a pass.

We have no other choice than to ping the ball up the field. Its not a Lammens problem, it's a tactics and team personnel problem.

I doubt you like Amorim reach me sha. I really wanted him to succeed here but he didn't, he failed and nothing is going to change that. Every other thing na excuses.

He had nothing to use as leverage when results didn't improve the following season considering how bad results were when he came and that's why he was ultimately sacked.

I hope he succeed somewhere else but it just didn't work here.
