Only Chido nd Hayden are the academy players on the bench. The useless got decided not to complete his bench.

Casemero, 20m+, Eriksen, Lindelof and Evans Free. Rashford 40m, Antony 35/40m, Hojlund loan in may be Italy or Spain to regain confidence, then we get our 25m from Chelsea for Sancho.
We need to replace Onana honestly, but lets see what happens

Someone should explain to me like a baby on this Dangote vs Independent Fuel Marketers importation issue.

Why dont 'the IFM buy directly from Dangote?

Why are they importing fuel from thousand of miles with all the additional costs?

Isn't it cheaper and more profitable to buy directly from Dangote who refines locally?

Does it make sense to import when Dangote has deep pockets and can undercut their prices and make them incur losses? If I'm not mistaken, this is the 2nd time Dangote has announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of his petrol, and each time the IPM complain of unfair tactics, and selling at a loss.

I understand monopoly is bad, the competition has kept the prices relatively stable, but is there more to it?
The only explanation is that the importers are buying it more cheaper abroad. All those prices they are telling us na bobo. That can only be the reason.

Wike is already calling for his impeachment.

This time Fubura has played into their hands. The Supreme Court just said he has been spending state money without approval from the house or assembly, a solid ground for impeachment.

Fubura should’ve listened to PBAT and just rugged this 4yrs. Now the Supreme Court judgement has given his enemies massive ammunition. I don’t know how he will survive.

Double judgment against Fubara today at the Supreme Court.

Supreme Court order the Accountant general to stop all allocation to Rivers State until Fubara present a new budget to the 27 man led Rivers Assembly.

Supreme Court also sack all the state elected local government chairman in the Oct 24 2024 local government election in gross violation of the electoral acts.

Fubara has been handicapped.

Leyqute:
If you understand football, you’ll know that 3-4-3 or whatever it is, is just the average formation you use going into games.

When you’re building up, the formation changes based on which phase of the game you’re in.

Some coaches build up with a 3-2. Some use a 2-3, irrespective of the number of defenders they have on the pitch. Pep Guardiola, a manager who plays 4atb, builds up with 3 defenders usually, with one of the fullbacks inverting into midfield along with the DM.

It all depends on the personnel and how the opposition presses.

And that’s for buildup alone.

When you’re in the opposition’s half and have sustained possession, the formation changes as well. Some use 2-3-5, some 3-2-5, or a mix of both. And some daring desperate coaches put 6 attackers in the forward line so they can overload the opponent and score.

These formations are not rigid either. They’re fluid with players interchanging positions to make use of space and even cause overload when necessary to create goal scoring chances.

And when it comes to defending, you have to assume another shape as well.

From time to time, the opponent will change things up— especially if you’re having the upper hand, and you have to react to that.

The koko here is that there are several game phases and events and you have to plan for all of them with accompanying formations.

If your argument of formation rigidity is only because you see 3CBs in the starting lineup each matchday and can’t provide more context, you’re probably running an agenda. Just own up to it.
Even last game, Dorgu was inverting into the middle creating more space for Garnacho.

You have missed the context of my post completely...

My initial post was about flexibility with tactics/formation and i clearly highlighted and posited that;

• Amorim left and the new coach took over with the same formation, and they struggled. If he came in and changed the pattern and it coincided with their struggles, people would probably attribute it to the new style.

• Another New Manager has taken over, switched things up and has been able to turn around the fortunes of the club...atleast compared to the previous coach

No be everything be agenda
Ok. I agree with your last paragraph.

One thing you should note is that the coach they got was using the same 4-4-2 in Vitoria SC, it will be foolishness on his part to get to sporting and continue using 3-4-3 that he doesn’t know how to use. It was not tactical flexibility on Borges part, he switched to a formation he has been using.

The coach that took over after Amorim left Sporting was Sporting u18 coach though, guess the promotion was not needed at that time.

My point is that, a manager will always use a formation he’s comfortable with while tweaking it here and there but the idea remains the same. It’s insanity to hire a manager known for a certain style then start telling him to change that style, why get him in the first place.

Anyways all Amorim excuses will expire next season, he either shapes up or get booted out.

Interestingly, Sporting's latest manager has changed their formation, apparently using the same players he met on ground yet the team is still going strong.

Na God go help us for this club
When Amorim left Sporting, they were topping the table by more than 6pts, within that time frame, they dropped 16pts in the league but okay they are going strong. 😂 with Amorim in the league they played 11 games and they won all 11.

In the champions league, Amorim won 3 and 2 draw before he left, after leaving they lost all the remaining 3 matches and lost to Dortmund in the playoffs without scoring a single goal. All the 11pts Sporting has in the champions league were won by Amorim. When Amorim left Sporting, they were 2nd in the champions league table with 11pts, they end the league phase at 23rd with 11pts 😂

Truly they are going strong. 😂

Agenda no go allow you rest.

With Mainoo and Collyer unavailable, i think the temptation is a bit of a stretch. Luckily, the Man obviously doesn't trust Casemiro again. In that regard, his hands are tied a bit..atleast for now.

Amorim should try and avoid creating any unnecessary "Puzzle" with Bruno ; his captain and one of the best players in the team. Shunting him wide to AMF even vs "less quality" opposition has been counter-productive and has somewhat stunted the development we hoped to see in his gradual conversion to a CM. It might even result in the manager prioritising wrongly during the next transfer window.

Yeah.

We should be able to win. The lads just need to come out of the blocks early, avoid unnecessary mistakes (onana or Maguire) and probably score within the first 25 mins.

Obi should probably start ahead of Rasmus - he can't be worse than that UFC fighter!
I agree with everything you said.

Make Hojuju hold bench small. 17 games now without a goal in all competition. His last goal was in Dec 12 against Pizen. More than 2 months ago.

Surely Obi can’t be worse than him atm
