That is the new method presumed by the Nigerian Customs now. They would tell you that the amount you pay into the bank is too small. you know the message i give to them and i expect you to give to them. Are you the Custom Officers that accepted it there and issued you your paper. As long as your paper is Embosed and signed to be released. Don't let those custom extort you, but one has no option than to give out OFficer on Duty to them. I just hope the Government would get something to do about this soon.

For a Toyota RAV4 2006 Model, you would get it landing in lagos with custom duty for 2.4million Naira and for a Toyota Highlander 2004/2005 model, i could land it in Lagos for 2.6million Naira and for a Nissan Murano 2004 Model, i would land that for 2.8m Naira. Nissan Pathfinder 2005 SE, i would land that in Lagos for 2.7m naira. All are with Custom duty Documents.

This car has only been used here in Nigeria for less than 2months and the guy is willing to sell it off because he wants to get the 2008 Model. the picture i attached is its picture when it was bought from cotonou. Anybody that get this ride would surely have enjoyment of it.

For a Benz C-class 2004/2005 Model 4 cylinder (Full Option). The landing cost down to your residence with custom duty would total about 2.850m naira. The Kompressor version is the version with a keyless entery and bigger engine while the non-kompressor are the one with smaller engine. The VW passat is also a very nice and lovely ride. the 2003/2005 model it would land about 2.450m naira with custom duty inclusive. Would await to hear from you. and thanks for your advice sir.

For the Honda Pilot 2003/2004 model, landing cost to lagos with custom duty would be total about 2.6million naira with custom duty. Very clean and neat. and for the Toyota Highlander 4x4 WD full option down to lagos would be total about 2.4m naira. Very clean and neat. I sure believe this prices are still liable to come down as the prices are not Fixed.

I am highly sorry for the late response to your thread, i have been so busy of recent. For the Nissan maxima 2004 Model. The price i got the 2005 Nissan Maxima last was 2.4m naira landing to Lagos with Custom duty. So lets me give you a budget between 2.3m - 2.4m naira.

For the Nissan Murano 2003-2005 Model, the price range is between 2.8m naira - 3.1m naira with custom duty

For the Honda Accord 2005 - 2008. The 2005 Model would land in abuja with custom duty for 2.2m naira and for the 2006 model would land between 2.4-2.5m naira and for the 2007-2008 would land between 3.8m naira.
All this prices are for 4 cylinders while there are price difference of 50,000 - 80,000Naira plus for the 6 cylinder

For the Toyota Camry 2007 Model, the landing cost down to Abuja with custom duty would total price range between 3.6m naira or less with custom duty.

Regarding the Maxima 2001 model you could have it landed in lagos with custom duty for the rate of 1.3m naira or lesser. between 1.1m and 1.3m though.

Both are clean, you could pre-order and at the same time get it from cotonou, the only issue is that getting it in cotonou you would receive your car faster than getting it from the states. But both cars come from the state at the end of it all.

A salvage car does not mean the car is not a good one or something, it just have been issued a salvage certificate in the states. it sure can also be sad to be a car that has been faulty before and now fixed.

    The secret about Gear Transmission in Cars are that, the first set of cars are taken to be pratical, the later model get modification from the report from the first set. Just like babyboy, you would never get a 2002 babyboy with transmission problem, as for the 2003, you might be lucky you don't get problem with it, but for the 2005, there are no issues of such.

For Potential Buyers of cars from Cotonou, If your Car would be running Custom duty, there seems to be issues with the Value given to Cars that are been cleared into Nigeria, Via the Tin-Can, Apapa and also the Seme boarder route. The formal value which was minimum of 1,500$ now raised up to $4000. which makes cars that there duty was around 150,000naira before go down to about 300,000Naira, so the Nigerian Agents are actually on strike cause of this. i hope this gets resolved by Monday, Max Tuesday.
