You know her/him.
Did he/she insult you?
I don't have an alternate bearing that name but he/she posts on my behalf.
He mailed some other Mods too acting like me..
A hacker? Wow! Such a fool indeed.

No, I don't know her.

By the way, are you also another Nairalander called Hayorra? The owner of that moniker has been changing genders so recently. I just want to know, no offence please.

Well, what can I say? Initially, the thread was fun. Both Standd and I were even cracking jokes about a certain pair of shoes. But, perhaps, she read too much meanings to what I posted and decided to start placing insults. She started by believing she was a goddess of insults and such. Something went wrong, the emotions heightened and attacks were launched.

She said she didn't like me and I told her quite frankly that the feeling was mutual. I think that was what fuelled the disagreement. We went a little bit too far. I called her suicidal and she, on her part, found it incubent to revealed privileged information about me. Isn't that contrary to her claim of not knowing me offline? I wonder, if you don't know me offline, why do you have to reveal offline information? For what? To win an e-fight?

But I've slept over the issue and I realised that I, too, had not been nice to her. I came back the next day to apologise but she still haboured resentment, I don't think she does anymore though. If she still does, I can only shrug my shoulders. Some kind people have contacted me privately and given me reasons to ignore her jibes.

I've been remorseful and I've chastised myself. I've even decided to dedicate one short story to her, but I'm not going to do that until she, too, apologises to me. angry

Let's move on.

There's no ridicule anywhere, don't be decieved.
I tried my best to make this work out, God knows I did. I kept my cool, hoping that you would also do the same. I apologised but you threw my apology to the dogs.

I agree that I wasn't in my best self on that thread. It was terrible of me to call you suicidal and I sincerely apologise for that. As a matter of fact, I peaceful co-existence to verbal confrontations. I hope we can coexist peacefully. Thanks.

It is so obvious that this Standd is sick. I tried to offer her a branch of olive, but being a monkey she is, she grabs at banana.

I managed to ignore her but she still had to ridicule herself. She's got such an alarming reputation at fatuity.

The earlier she seeks the spiritual help the better for her. Funny enough, rather than being angry, I now feel sorry for her. I'm sure many people on Nairaland do, too.

Larry, my tête with you was civil, wasn't it? She started the insult by terming herself (not me) a fool instead of countering my assertions factually.

Now that I've provided undisputable evidence to lend further credence to my assertion, she's disappeared.

I argue FACTUALLY.smiley

At the end of the day, the facts prove me right.

She probably didn't know who was squaring up against.cheesy
TSM, you're breaking my heart with this comment. Texanomaly is really a wonderful woman. Take time to understand her. She's been my friend for more than a year, and I've always considered myself lucky to be acquainted with her.

I'm sorry you felt insulted, but you shouldn't have called her a kid. I sincerely pray you settle your differences.

Kindly forgive. I guess TheSonOfMark didn't know you as much as I do.

I'm sure TheSonOfMark, too, is an awesome guy. You both just have to understand each other better.

Cut each other some slacks. You can argue with love and respect.

God bless you both.

The word "leprechaun" is derived from the Irish lu chorpain, meaning "small body." Various attributes have been used to describe leprechauns. While the origins and the history surrounding leprechauns differ, one common thread is that these creatures are surrounded in magic. Some believed leprechauns were descendents of the Goddess Danu and the Tuatha De Danaan. They inhabited Ireland long before the Celts arrived, and when the Celts did come, brandishing iron swords that could penetrate the leprechauns' magic, leprechauns fled to underground abodes in the soil shielded by magical, hidden entrances. Some say leprechauns still reside under the damp soil.

Leprechauns are small, smart and devious little characters, usually dressed from head to toe in green and with ginger hair and a ginger beard. They date back to Irish mythology and were described by many as “wee folk.”

"Leprechauns are very wily, and they can vanish in the twinkling of an eye. This is why it is impossible to trick a Leprechaun out of either his pot of gold or magic shilling. Leprechauns have two great loves: drinking whiskey and smoking tobacco.. They are either cheerful and happy or very sullen. A Leprechaun's mood depends on how much whiskey he has drunk. They are shoemakers for the Faeries and can usually be found working on a shoe."
Thank you, ma'am. I think this sums up the argument.

TheSonOfMark:

If we agree leprechauns are fairies and fairies are airy, happy-go-lucky beings then ,by extension, leprechauns are simpletons which aligns with my earliest figurative definition on page four.
Okay.

Wiki definition: " A leprechaun is a FAIRY in Irish folklore".

Your definition depicts it as an elf. Elfs aren't exactly fairies, are they?smiley
I'm sure elves aren't goblins either. But a dictionary, Cambridge Advanced Learner's (Third Edition), told me leprechauns can be mischievous.

ELFS are reputed as being clever and/or mischievous in folklores and not LEPRECHAUNS/FAIRIES. wink

Cc: LarrySun
In Irish folklore, leprechauns are considered mischievous, too.

Leprechaun: a magical creature in the form of a little old man who likes to cause troubles.
