Education / Re: The Difference Between The Holy Spirit And The Holy Ghost. A Thread by larryUG(m): 7:49am On Feb 21
The ‘Ghost’ is a mistranslation by the KJV bible which was later corrected to Holy ‘Spirit’ in the new KJV. Ghost is an apparition of a dead person, which usually comes back to haunt people.
Furthermore, Genesis chapter 1..”in the Beginning God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was without form and Void and the SPIRIT of God hovered over the waters…..”. The SPIRIT of God (I.e the Holy Spirit), not the Ghost of God

They bought that property with $1.3b but Nigeria repairs PH refinery with $1.5b.can you see how our money is been stolen
Lol. It’s not that simple. The total deal is 2.4 billion dollars. 1.3 is the first payment, the rest will be paid upon certain deliverables being transferred. They also take up the liabilities of SPDC so it is not as straight forward as you think. But in the end, I agree with you that 1.5 billion dollars for rehab of a refinery is a lot

Baby wardrobe is 1million

Those of us that spent less than 200k to buy baby things are poor nah.

Celebrating total wastage and bragging about it.

I dont remember ever saying that Baby Wardrobe is 1m.

if your read correctly, you would have seen where i noted that i gave out 350k initially because I thought it is enough, but the rate of escalation of things now is just 3x what it used to be.
Anyways, you already have your opinion formed. Run with it

Why invest in a baby bed that the baby may not sleep in?
I'm comfortable stretching to reach my baby whom I share the bed with while husband puts up in another room.
Standing up can be so painful as it seems that my uterus and below wants to fall off let alone engorgement of my boobs due to excess bwest milk production. When baby wakes up, I reach out to her without leaving the bed to attend to her and I delivered with no tear but the recovery pain no be here.
The breast pump of 50k, was it the best bargain for electric pump? I got for 35k or is it the brand?
Dear OP, please go to pregnancy thread and look up for a comprehensive list and go to the market yourself.
My husband assisted me to shop this time although mine is no 2.

You are right, It is my first. The baby is yet to arrive so I may not know all the things needed like the bed. Yes people advised against getting the court that he may not likely sleep in it but then, lets just get it. My wife went to the market to buy all these with her friend and she is a very prudent person. Like she bargains more than me. As for the pump, she ordered it so it was a fixed price, could have been the brand

Baba, I spent close to a million for my baby stuff.
What you need to understand is that baby things are generally very costly. Secondly, escalation has taken a toll on the prices of things . It seems a lot of people have not taken into account the effect of the naira losing value in the economy
I gave my wife 350K initially but she bought wasnt substantial.
She added her money and i gave her additional.
BEd alone is 170k-200k depending on the quality. Breast pump (for when your baby my not have the mum around) is 50k in the market. just these 2 items have taken 220-250K out of your 400K. now talk about feeding bottles, diapers, clothes (there are several types your baby will need), Powder/soaps, baby oils, shoes, other stuff, wardrobe alone for kids na 120K. You people always have a ''reliable source''.
I dont have any source, you wanna know why? I am directly involved in the contract management at a very top level.
i mean the ''Toppest'' level that you can think of. The only meeting I am not attending is the one that takes place in the GCEO's office Abuja.
So pocket your ''reliable source''. You know nothing on this issue. I mean nothing

That is the lies from APC.. When you refuse to be specific.. What is December and January.. Do we now have a month called December and January?

That is not enough to say that the refinery is nowhere near to be completed. I am on ground. I am a key person in charge of Rehabilitation works on the Contractor side, so I know that while it is not completed, it is not at all far as you have asserted

If there was any form of inter-relations, synergy, and cohesion between the different forces, would there have been the need for a first denial by the NAF before this acceptance of culpability by the NA?

This is where my comment stems from because this very show of shame and lack of coordination cuts across all sectors of governance up to the so-called Presidency.

It's hugely embarrassing.

There should be. I worked in Iraq for 2 years in the West Qurna2 oil field. A lot of Nigerians are working in the oil fields of Iraq so it is not out of place for a Nigerian mission to be there. US, UK, Russia etc all have embassies and missions there, so why can’t Nigeria?

Foreign Affairs / Re: Gaza: How Countries Voted To Protect Civilians & Humanitarian Truce by larryUG(m): 5:47am On Oct 28, 2023
FreeStuffsNG:
Only US, Isreal and 12 other countries, mostly tiny weak Island countries; Austria, Croatia, Czechia, Fiji, Guatemala, Hungary, the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay and Tonga , voted against the adoption of the resolution and they lost woefully!

This is a testament to the seriously diminished power and influence of the United States on global politics on this Palestinian-Israel war.

Even the E.U , Canada and UK didn't vote against the resolution. China, Russia, Jordan, Iran, Pakistan, the Arab League, Turkiye, Ireland, South Africa and Nigeria tried too. It was a momentous event that the world stood together significantly for the Palestinian people.

Sincerely, Humanity won. Over 3000 Palestinian children killed yet Hamas keeps fighting and firing rockets into Israel, giving credence to the report that Israel is actually killing mostly civilians and children.

If Isreal, with all its military power and backing of US and UK , has been fighting a small group of Hamas fighters for weeks now yet the death toll of children and civilians in Gaza keep mounting and Hamas Rockets firings into Israel have not stopped, so who is Isreal deceiving? Who is Isreal been killing for the past few weeks of bombing Gaza? Hamas still fired a lot of rockets into Southern Israel few hours ago!

If after this resolution, Isreal continues the bombing, there will be very serious and severe consequences against Israel. I pray it doesn't get to that. Check my signature for free stuffs!
The UN has always voted for a ceasefire in the past and Israel has never obeyed UN resolutions. It is not the first time. Kindly go back to history and check. The bombardment continues and Israel will invade, the only thing that will happen is condemnation, nothing more

Israel knows it’s fcked if it goes in. Of course, Israel also knows it’s fcked if it doesn’t go in as the world won’t tolerate their desired “bomb them, starve them, then steal their land” solution.

Samson option is off the table because Iran will not only counter their nukes but glass Pissrael .

So Israel is fcked and I don’t know what they’re gonna do. There is blood in the water now. Even if Israel pussies out, will the Arabs let them consolidate and try again in a few years? America will only get weaker from here. No good options. They only have boomer cons now; everyone else hates them

Once the boomer Zionists die off, it's over for Pissrael.

Russia hates them

Europe detests them

Everyone getting emotional over Palestine.
If you ask most people supporting Palestine, they will cite 1948 as when Israel came to the present state. They will always say Israel desecrates the Al Aqsa mosque constantly, but you forgot that the old Jewish temple site is where the Al Aqsa mosque is presently located after Salaudeen invaded Jerusalem and razed the temple to the ground. No one remembers that history. You think Israel just woke up and chose to go to where they are and settle down in the middle of the desert for no reason. Where were the old cities of the Israelis located now? Anyways….

🙄🙄How Significant is ₦70 When you remove it from ₦700/Litre🤨what can that one do🤨 Local Refineries should take back our Fuel Price to atleast ₦170/Litre. Anything more than that is Ripping!!

You are delusional if you think the refineries, including Dangote's will bring down fuel price so significantly. It wont. What the IPAMN guy said is correct. It will only save you the landing cost, nothing more. Petrol will be sold at the international price, because these refineries will purchase the oil based on international price.

Secondly, there is no law that states that it must be sold to IPMAN. Dangote or NNPC can decide to sell to Indian or Algerian marketers on a first come first serve basis, afterall NNPC has been restructured to a profit-oriented limited liability company. It is no longer the NNPC of old.

At most, the refineries will save you 60-80 Naira. At best 100 Naira. nothing more

They should have revived that refinery before removing subsidy. Refinery that has swallowed trillions of naira with slow pace of work progress. At least the inflation could have been reduced.

Logic: if PHRC is ready before sangote Refinery, dangote will be a price taker for his products. But if dangote refinery resumes first, then he fixes the price. And the price will not come down even with PHRC coming up.

When I say these always sit on a round table and ensure everything Benefits them, they will say I hate politicians.

Now the damage has been caused already. Inflation has happened already, prices of commodities will not come down again. They should just increase minimum wage and let everyone including the stupid apc worshippers find ways to survive

If you have not passed through NYSC before, you should know that this is a public place, and a military zone at that.
Do you think you can enter into a military zone as a participant without your bags being searched to check for weapons or other banned stuff?
Then NYSC rules prohibits the possession of such. No one's privacy is being invaded.
