Cristiano Ronaldo says he never thought he would achieve much in life. He further added that he is blessed to have achieved all that he has at 35.

Former Real Madrid superstar clocked 35 on Wednesday, February 5.

Ronaldo said he thought he would be in his Portugal hometown Madeira fishing at 35.



Cristiano Ronaldo said he is blessed to become a superstar footie despite coming from a small community Madeira in Portugal, saying he never thought he could have achieved so much at 35.

The Portuguese footie clocked 35 on Wednesday, February 5 and has found himself in the middle of social media discussion amid incredible show of love from football space. As fans reflect on his enviable legacies in the game with many submitting he is diving towards the twilight of his incredible career, Ronaldo said he thought he would be in his hometown fishing. " I thought I would be fishing in Madeira,'' Ronaldo said when asked if he ever thought he would still be playing football at 35.

" I knew my dream was to become a professional footballer but to play for Portugal, to play for big clubs I have played for, to win what I have won, it never crossed my mind."



Ronaldo has often been considered one of the greatest players to grace the football space in terms of accomplishments, records, the monetary value and the social prestige.



With a career spanning two decades, Ronaldo put football world under his carpet winning different titles across four top leagues in Europe including five Champions League-- one with Man United and four with Real Madrid. Singer, Daffy Blanco who accused Peruzzi of raping her has shared more details of the incident which she said occurred the night Timaya headlined the industry night over a year ago.

Nigerian singer Gabriel Amanyi popularly known as Terry G has described himself as the Jesus of Nigerian music, saying he set the pace for the present trend in the Nigerian music industry.

The suspect who was arrested for being in possession of an improvised explosive device (IED) at a Living Faith Church a.k.a Winners Chapel in Sabon Tasha area of Chikun

The President of Nigeria, Buhari has taken action over the addition of Nigeria in US visa ban list alongside 5 other underdeveloped countries.

The Nigerian Presidency's official Twitter handle shared tweets few hours ago saying that a committee has been constituted to study and address updated U.S requirements relating to the assessment of compliance with certain security criteria by foreign governments. The committee is to be chaired by the Minister of interior.


The Nigerian government also clearly indicated its dedication to maintaining successful relations with the U.S and other international allies especially on matters of worldwide security.

Don't punish Nigerians for the failure of Buhari's government - Atiku begs trump on addition of Nigeria to visa ban list

Atiku Abubakar, Former Vice President has reacted and commented on the addition of Nigeria to US visa ban list alongside 5 other countries.

He pleaded with the US President saying "Don't punish Nigerians for the failure of Buhari's government".



Atiku Abubakar was not happy over the situation, He said:

"the ban does not take into account the pro-American sentiments of the Nigerian public even though I understand that the decision was taken due to failure of the Buhari-led administration to share information and to address issues of terrorism".



The former vice president advised the US government to consider the history of US-Nigerian relationships to perhaps acquire measures that individually target those in government who have failed in their responsibilities, instead of targeting the entire Nigerian population.

“I received with sadness the policy of the government of the United States of America to place Nigeria on its travel ban list.

“While I understand the reasons given by the Trump administration (the failure of the Muhammadu Buhari led administration to share information and to address issues of terrorism), the ban does not take into account the pro-American sentiments of the Nigerian public and the solidarity previous Nigerian administrations have had with the United States.

“I urge the government of President Donald Trump to consider the history of US-Nigerian relationships.

“Nigeria was one of the few African nations that joined the US-led coalition during Operation Desert Storm between 1990-1991 when the United States championed the liberation of Kuwait.

“The Trump administration may also consider the pivotal role Nigeria, in partnership with the US, played in bringing peace to Liberia, an American sphere of influence, that now enjoys democracy because Nigerian blood and money paved the way for peace in that nation.

“Nigeria has also consistently voted in support of the United States and her allies at the UN and other multilateral world bodies. This is even as we are perhaps the biggest trading partner that the United States has in Africa, even where we had alternatives.

“Nigerians love the United States and have been a major force for the positive development of that great nation: 77% of all Black doctors in the United States are Nigerians,” Atiku added.

“Nigerians are also the most educated immigrant community in America bar none.

“Surely, the US stands to benefit if it allows open borders with a country like Nigeria that is able to provide skilled, hardworking and dedicated personnel in a two-way traffic.

“The current Nigerian administration may have its deficiencies and deep faults, but the Nigeria people ought not to be punished for their inefficiencies.

“Once again, I call on President Donald Trump to consider adopting measures that individually target those in government who have failed in their duties, rather than target the entire Nigerian population.”

12 Child traffickers including women(mothers) have been arrested by the operatives of the IGP special intelligence response team.



There were about 6 kids rescued from the suspects which led to their arrest in different states.



Ebony, one of the suspects and also she is a mother of 2, she and her lover Emmanuel Onyekwere has stolen a good number of kids from their homes in Abia, Enugu and Edo statesand in turn sold them to their buyers of whom were identified as Blessing Nwankwo, Chioma Nike for N250,000 and 450,000. The couple was arrested after stealing 2 kids from Abuja which they sold at N300,000 each.



One of the parents whom his child was kidnapped Mr Olobo, who narrated how the incident occurred. Olobo said Ebony and her husband Emmanuel rented an apartment in the compound he lives in with his family. In less than a week Ebony got close to his wife, pretending to be helping her carry her 1-year-old daughter. It was later discovered that Ebony and her lover vanished with the little girl some hours later.

When interrogated by the Nation news reporters she blaimed joining the child trafficking gang due to lack of proper education.



Ebony said;





“I didn’t attend secondary school because my father married two wives and he couldn’t send me to school because he has so many children he couldn’t take care of.

“I was married off to an old man at a very young age but the old man died two years into our marriage. We had two children together. With time, things became difficult for me and my children after the death of my husband. I took my children to my mother in the village and travelled to Abuja and went into prostitution.

“I spent seven years as a prostitute in Abuja. One of my friends then advised me to relocate to Oba town in Anambra State, deceiving me that I would make more money doing prostitution in that town.

"I took the advice and relocated but one year into my stay, a girl known as Ogula from Benue State told me that a nurse told her to look for someone to get her pregnant and whenever she put to bed, that the child would be taken from her and she would be paid.

“I told her I can’t do such a despicable thing because I too have two children and I was not ready to get pregnant again. She then asked me to follow her to her village and when we got there, the girl then stole a girl child and gave her to me. While I was leaving with the child, I was arrested by some security men and I was taken to prison where I spent six months. This incident was in 2017. While in prison, I met one Ada, who had finished serving her term and she gave me her number while she was leaving. I called her when I was released and she gave me a job at her shop in Umuahia Abia State, where she sells drinks. One of her customers, known as Onwa, approached me and said he had contacts of people who could buy children between the ages of one and three.

“I then informed one Chibuzor, who is a brother to Ada, who stole a child and we gave it to Onwa.He took the child away and refused to pay us our money. At that time, I had already gotten a boyfriend known as Emanuel Onyekwere. Onwa then contacted me three months later .

“He pleaded for forgiveness and said he would pay me N500,000 for any child between the ages of one and two. My boyfriend, Onyewkere, then went to his village and stole his sister’s two-year-old child and we contacted Onwa, but this time, we followed him down to Enugu State, where the child was sold to an old woman driving a Toyota Camry and she paid us the sum of N250,000. Onwa warned us against stealing children on the road because whenever we were caught, we would be burnt. He advised that we should move regularly to new areas, rent an apartment and when we see a child, we should steal the child and leave the area. So, we went to Akuke area of Enugu and we rented an apartment; we succeeded in stealing two children between the ages of two and four from a guy known as Oyenka, who maltreated me while I worked as a prostitute in Abuja.

“Onyeka was a very rough guy when I knew him in Abuja and it was the police who chased him out of Abuja. Unfortunately, I ran into him in Enugu. He was happy and introduced me to his wife and we became friends.

“I visit them regularly in their house and I became familiar with their children, Ada and Chinonso. I studied their terrain for three months and when I discovered that the coast was clear, I made away with the children and sold them to Onwa for N450,000 each.

“Then, Emmanuel and I relocated to Abuja and we rented an apartment at Tungamaji area of the city. We stole a woman’s child who was our neighbour. The woman left her child in my care while she went to the market and I and Emmanuel quickly packed our things and fled with the child. We then sold the child to one Chioma, who we met through Onwa, for the sum of N300,000. We then rented another apartment at Gwagwa area of Abuja. We stayed for two weeks and I stole a one year-old baby and sold the baby to Chioma for N300,000. We then left Abuja and ran to Ipoba Hill area of Edo State and rented an apartment. There, we stole a child belonging to a sick woman, who could not pay proper attention to her child.

"The child used to come to our own compound to play. So, I stole the child, took her to Chioma, who paid us the sum of N300,000. “We spent much of this money on food, clothes and other frivolities. Before we were arrested, my boyfriend and I had decided to quit but there was this woman known as Blessing who contacted us and requested for five children between the ages of one and two years.I gave her a bill of N2million and she paid instantly. Since we had decided to quit, Emmanuel and I used the money to rent a two-bedroom flat, furnished it and we removed our sim cards. So, Blessing couldn’t reach us anymore. My children are between 17 and 16. If they are stolen I will not be happy.”

A Nigerian mother is being abused and slammed on social media after she poured hot water on her young son for spending her money on biscuits without her consent.

The small boy was interrogated by an activist, Harrison Gwamnishu. He narrated how his mother boiled hot water and poured him because he collected some money from his daily sales to buy biscuit. She has not treated him yet but still sends him to hawk sachet water on the street.

An uncertain internet scammer, Damilola Ahmed Adeyeri along with his mother, Alaba Kareem Adeyeri, happen to be guilty on a four-count charge of treason and getting money worth of $82,570 which is about N29.9million under false pretence.

Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos, found the woman and her son guilty of all counts and therefore sentenced them to three years each in a correctional centre. The sentences for each count would run concurrently. He further ordered that properties and assets gotten from the convicts should be forfeited to the Federal Government and restitution should be made to the convicts if they apply for it.


The convicts got arrested in line with a petition from the US FBI against Damilola Adeyeri and plenty others on an alleged case of conspiracy, Obtaining money under false pretence.

After much investigation from the operatives of the commission, they found out that his mother was an accomplice in the conspiracy and money laundry.


An investigator in EFCC, Idi Musa, while being led in evidence narrated to the court that in April 2019 that a petition was received from the FBI, stating that the official email address of American Cranes Manufacturing company was hacked and as a result the sum of $82, 570. 00 was stolen by the convicts.Damilola was arrested on September 6, 2019, while his mother on hearing of her son's investigation went to withdraw money from the bank and she was arrested too. Money stolen by the convicts were used to acquire properties in Lagos all in Damilola's name.
