Romance › Re: Love Isn't Possible Without Money by Laveda(f): 8:51pm On Oct 23, 2016
Xiadnat:
This is why my philosophy is this: "Life is a balancing act. Extremism is really bad". We make general sweeping statements w/o defining terms.

How much money are we talking about? Thousand-ire? Millionaire? Billionaire? What kind of love? Agape? Eros? Phileo?

You do not need to be a millionaire or be "rich" to find or nurture love. And you do not need money to "agape, or phileo" someone. That's why romantic (eros) love is so warped--that's why men think money plays a role and where women got it twisted because we think that if men don't spend on you, it can't be love. Who are we fooling really? True love should first be agape, then phileo, then eros. Not eros first. This is why marriages fail today--including those that start with money as the basis.

No one says you should bring children into this world if you are (as parents) unable to provide for them.

Why does the financial burden lie only on men? What of the woman? Is your boyfriend your father? Why should he be held responsible for feeding and clothing you while you are dating?

If not for vanity, why can't both men and women reciprocate and exchange the burden? I mean, when we go out, feed yourself fucking self with the money your father gave you or the money you made for yourself. Why does the financial aspects of dating/courting fall just on the guy

As a woman, get your own fucking career. Make your own damn money.

Ask and tell yourself "i can't go into a relationship if i can't contribute financially". Maybe men would stop thinking they need to hit the jackpot before they settle down. Unless for those, whom ego is an issue.

She turned you down the first time, you weren't satisfied, you still pushed further.. Makes it look like you had something against her, or you were simply jealous of their relationship?
You should have probed further and not just conclude like that.. And I blame your stupid friend for doing such, sometimes we use our hands to spoil things for ourselves.

And the girl, that was someone she barely knew, she wouldn't have accepted the offer..

In no particular order..

At your prime, flee from sleeping with a married man cos that's the time they will come flocking around you...i mean usain bolt yourself away cos you can't bear the consequences in the future(karma)undecided

At your prime, stop playing boyfriend and girlfriend game, for Godsake you are at your prime you don't have time again if he's not willing to take you down the isle unbolt him and let him give other suitors wayundecided

At your prime moderate your taste and bring it under control...i mean don't settle for less but be moderate in your choice of partnerundecided

At your prime you shouldn't play hard to get....be more open and jovial especially to the male folks cos some of them must woo you, from their make your choice carefullyundecided

At your prime, keep your options open even if you are engaged cos there's NO written agreement or guarrantee that he must marry you, reason is because you are at your primeundecided…inshort there's NOTHING like engagement in the bible sef, even mary was bethroted joseph and not engaged to her so therefore, every "engagement is prone to breaking"undecided

At your prime, ensure you aren't idle cos NO man wants a liability as a wife…either you have a good handwork or you are working alreadyundecided

At your prime you must have known how to pray...forget the nature of men, we love you more when you love Godundecided

Ok, the above epistle is strictly for girls/ladies who believe in marriage and ofcourse as a nigerian we solely and strongly believe in marriage...but however, if you think you are guilty in any one of these it's never too late you should be thanking God you are opportuned to see this...what you need to do now is refasten your seatbelt and retrace your steps and hit the right markundecided...

Ok, thank you.
Wow, you made sense. Nice one.
