These are some MYTHS about THE ABIA AWAKENING (TAA)!

TAA is for all - Join hands to make it better.
1. That TAA is owned by an individual:
Answer: No. TAA was initiated by some persons who came together for the purpose of demanding good leadership....

2. That TAA is being sponsored by Politicians or Groups of people.
Answer: False. TAA is sponsored by it members and has no plans for seeking sponsorship from any politicians other than its members.

3. That TAA is a Political Party:
Answer: Wrong Assumption: TAA is a non-partisan group that advocates for good governance of our Abia indigenes.

4. That TAA was initiated by hungry/political office holders for relevance:
Answer: No. Most initiators are young professionals in different endavours and are doing very well. Besides, they are fulfilled and need no political recognition from the government.

5. That TAA hates opposing views on its discussion:
Answer: No. TAA allows everyone to air their views on any issues being discussed as long as such does not abuse or insult any commentator.

6. That TAA will soon be bought over:
Answer: Wrong Perception. TAA is solid and most decisions are taken by a Board and not one person.

7. That TAA is anti government and particularly hates T.A. ORJI.
Answer: TAA is not anti-government and doesn’t hate T.A. Orji; rather, TAA only hates & abhors bad governance.

8. That TAA is a group for a particular zone:
Answer: This is erroneous view. TAA is not tribalistic. Infact, TAA is a group of Abians who have their state at heart and for the good of all Abians.

9. That TAA is autocratic in her operations:
Answer: TAA has basic Rules and Terms guiding comments and contributions on its wall; ignorance of them wont be an excuse for being penalized to ensure credibility of the group.

However, every Abian can join the group and see what real Abians are doing here per time.

Simply click on: www./theabiaawakening/members

Over 8000 Abians on this group is not a joke sir. It is interesting that people like you can sitdown at the comfort of your home to condemn The Abia Awakening.
Only people who are bereft of ideas do that - please desist from this and join hands in making Abia great again.

The claim that most initiators of The Abia Awakening lost in elections is regrettable and unpatriotric in nature.

The God of The Abia Awakening is watching with keen interest and apt attention.

Goodday!

Politics / Re: Why Is Abia God's Own State? by Lawehile(m): 8:24am On May 05, 2012
Thank you all for your responses on why Abia State is called "God's Own State".
You're all correct. I cannot dispute your positions at all.

Good leadership makes things work; when things go wrong by one bad leader; when a good leader takes over - he makes things work better regardless of how bad the former had left the affairs of such a state.

For me, Abia State is gradually reclaiming the lost glory of Abia State.
This is being done through a group called The Abia Awakening (TAA).

This group has focused on analyzing why Abia has lost its glory, the remote-cause and possible solutions to those issues.

The awareness and campaign on how to move forward is being discussed daily on this group.

Do you love Abia or hate Abia? Whatever your answer is; join this group and findout what others have said.

Thank you all.
The Abia Awakening is a project that is real and possible.
Education / Boko Haram Vs Education by Lawehile(m): 3:42pm On Dec 23, 2011
Prof Wole Soyinka has described as a disgrace to government, the recent closure of University of Maiduguri as a result of Boko Haram attacks.

Of a truth, there's no reason why our government should have done this if they are sensitive enough.
What are they protecting? The students.
Is there no State Governor in Maiduguri? What happened to the security votes he collects?

President Goodluck Jonathan should rather behave like one from the academic world.

But, my question is "Should they really go back to school?
How important is that?
Business / Legistors & Education by Lawehile(m): 12:30pm On Dec 22, 2011
Recently, "Go back to school, " was a statement made by Prof. Wole Soyinka to Nigeria Legislators.
For me, this statement was long over-due. But, like its said, late is better than never.

Members of the Senate and House of Representatives need more exposure, enlightenment and training to become more abreast of current Nigerian realities in discharge of their functions.

Going back to school is simply an understatement.

This will obviously make them more honourable as Senators.
For me again, he is absolutely correct.
