Dear Nairalanders,

Trust we all keeping safe.

I really need clarification from bankers and experienced persons in the house. A friend of my lost her father recently and they have started receiving their father’s entitlement which was paid into the account domiciled with a Nigerian bank operated by the deceased.

However, my friend’s mum lost their dad’s ATM, so they reported to the bank with the death certificate and requested for a new ATM or the money moved to another account but the bank is now asking for a letter of Administration and they will take 10% of the money left in the deceased account.

My grouse is not the letter of administration but the 10% they are asking on another person’s entitlement. Is there any law backing this? How can we go about it because the money is a substantial amount?

Nigerian banks are selfish and they are thieves milking everybody's accounts everyday. Anyways I am a financial consultant helping bank customers to sort their financial issues with their respective banks. Write a letter to the CBN have it sent to their office in Abuja by courier services if you are not living in Abuja, stating your issues to them. Make sure you include "the account no, name of account and the bank in question" as part of your subject. they wil definitely help you out....if you need further assistance kindly inbox me.

please am in need of computer gurus who can help me to profer a solution to my laptop. There was a time I tried to upgrade the Windows of my lappy but to no avail it never downloaded, soon after it started bringing up a blue screen with some information on the screen. whenever I restart it it booths and as soon as it shows the blue screen it stops there. The lappy is Toshiba 32 bit. I know it's not a graded type but kindly help me out I have attached the photo of the screen. Thanks.

You just said with low crime rates, does it look like crimes are about to stop in Nigeria at all. If you have ever been to owerri before you would have seen the rate at which new criminals troop into that prison yard daily.

Go for the teaching its not time consuming unlike banking job that is more or less like mordenized slavery. You can always get additional jobs in the evening like doing home tutoring to add up to your monthly income and you will always have enough time to yourself and relax more.

Hello people, I finally traveled to Ghana without an international passport. I went with King Solomon's Chariot transport coy (Mile2), they did all the border runs for me. I enjoyed the trip, though it was tiring. But sitting comfortably in a Sienna made the trip by road a wow experience and less fatigue.

Moment you cross naija (Owode) border into Benin republic, the road is completely tarred down to Ghana. But from mile 2 to owode border is completely danger zone. The potholes on the owode road before the border na dead..

On the way you get to see the beauty of the Atlantic ocean, Lome, and finally Ghana. Ghana is well organized and a beautiful place (Accra).

I enjoyed my trip and hope to visit again soon and even extend my either Ivory coast, Burkina Faso or Liberia.

How much is the transport fare to Ghana and do you have any idea about price of their hotel?

Opting for M.Sc at this point in time might deter you the opportunity to be given admission because your supervisor has already given you the nod for PhD and you might not get another supervisor soon to work with you for M.Sc. I believe there should be enough funding for you from the supervisor because they know that almost all students need funding for their programs even if its not full funding the partial funding can still get you somewhere and with another Research or Teaching Assistantship stipends would suffice your stay throughout the program in 4 years. And by the time u finished the program in 4 years you are eligible for permanent residence. Guy you are very lucky just go for it.

I have a B.Sc Industrial Chemistry ( 4.01/5), Pgd Chemical Engineering ( Distinction ).

I applied for a Canadian admission for MSc.E Chemical Engineering. Normally for your admission to be successful you need to secure a supervisor whose research interest is similar to yours. I have done that and he encouraged me to apply. I submitted my application and after going through my application with other supporting documents like letter of motivation and others, he sent me a mail this afternoon that they want to consider me PhD instead of MSc I applied for. I'm very confused right now if to accept it or not considering high standard of education abroad as I use to hear, I haven't experienced foreign education before, this is my first. Please note my ultimate goal is to obtain a PhD. Please help me push to the front thread cos I need advice from experienced Nigerians who have studied abroad. Thanks. I appreciate

Guy don't ponder over it any further because it really shows that your admission is sealed already and funding would be available for u probably. This is exactly what a close pal of mine experienced when he gained admission into university of Alabama in US which is direct PhD.Its the best option for you so grab it with both hands.

Let me understand your post, I recently graduated from FUTO, Computer Science precisely, my Cgpa is 3.63( Second Class Upper), which is lower than 3.75/5.... But from my 300 Level, I made nothing less than 4.1/5, so does it mean I stand a good chance getting accepted into Memorial University since you said they consider the last two years of your program?

Try to calculate your 300&400 level GPA together if its up to 3.5 or 70% or more better still then you are good and its a good thing that you have second class upper which means you can apply to any Canadian in skul of your choice depending on their requirements. But mind you GPA is not the only thing that they consider for admission, they also consider referees, statement of purpose, academic CV, application fee mostly 100 Canadian dollar.

I just had that many names were called but no body to answer at the documentation yesterday, this means some did not got the msg and there name came out for documentation, just got this info from a frnd(bsc) that did his yesterday, pls how true this is?

...I wasn't there yesterday but I was there today its true that some names were called but nobody to answer those names and same thing also happened today. its not the fault of those that weren't present but its the fault of the recruiters since they didn't send them text did they expect everybody to lobby around Alausa when they weren't messaged. They have ulterior motive for doing that because they will cancel out those names and slot in their people's names.

...Most Canadian universities do not really consider the full years but mostly consider the last two years and if its very good I.e 3.75/5 then u r OK

Which information are you referring to bro, I was there for their so called ID card and Training materials collection. I was only disqualified. So, is it that you want information on those that have scaled through the qualification test or you are waiting for invite?
