To my mind, all of the above reasons and other reasons given by some Nigerians whose fingers are itching them to (quickly to blame the FGN) might have next to nothing to do with the recent visa restrictions placed on some countries by the US government. Come to think of it this way, US presidential election is fast approaching, Oga at the top will do anything to appease/reassure his base that he is still on track to make America solely for right-wing Americans. Where is Iran, Iraq, any of Carribean countries, China, Pakistan or even India?

Citizens from all these countries abuse non-immigrant visas far more than Myanmar, Eritrea, Kyrgyztan, Sudan, Tanzania and even Nigeria.

Oga is fast losing his home base support and he is desperate to regain their support.

NO they wont provide hotel because it is a voluntary layover as they have a shorter layover, only flights that are involuntary long layovers that qualify for the complimentary hotel.

That is not totally correct Sir. I do not know of Air Maroc. But I did witnessed that of Egypt Air 13 hours overnight layover. They lodged us and several before us in decent hotel with buffet dinner and breakfast before departure to the Airport. Our guy here said their layover was in the day time, so they might be left at the Airport.

Dear All,

As a family of 4 applying for b2 visa, is it possible one create a single "application ID" on DS160 form to schedule an appointment for the family of 4 thereafter one can go back to create application ID DS-160 form for others.

2. What is the duration for the DS-160 be opened before submission.

1. No it is not possible to create a single application ID for a family of 4. Every individual must have a personal DS-160 form. Even a 10 months old baby.

2. The duration of a DS-160 account before submission is just 30 days.

Always go with a Bank statement even though they do not check it most time. It better to err on the side of caution than to err on the side of the law.

Hello,

Please I have an issue I'll like someone to help me with.
I went for my interview in Abuja and was given the yellow slip for administrative processing.
I have gotten a mail from the embassy to pick up my passport at DHL office in Abuja.
Unfortunately, I'm in Lagos at the moment.
I'll like to know if my passport can be picked by by proxy with a 221g form and what is required?
Thank you all as you help me out.

Simply sign the 221g form and tell the one to help you pick up your passport to fill his/her details on the form and also go with photocopy of his/her valid identity card.

@Kennyfem. Am glad that you decided to delete your earlier post.

Seyewest is just trying to be factual. The truth is always very bitter, but saying the truth to the one who is seeking for it, is always the best.

We should learn to give qudos to those who sacrifice their time to share "for free" their wealth of knowledge and experience.

We shouldn't criticise anyone except the person goes over board.

I say more powers to the elbows of those responding to other people's queries and questions.

On behalf of most of the beneficiaries of this forum, I appreciate you all.

Lovely bird, but sorry to disappoint you, Senegalese parrot don't talk..If you want a parrot with potential to talk, get a young African grey and train it..

Just a little Google search would have saved you from talking about what you do not know. If you were to be on the hot seat at Who want to be a Millionaire, you just lost a Million Naira. Senegalese Parrot mimic too but the African grey Parrot mimic the most. Check out several videos on YouTube.

Let's be truthful, just because you're remorseful and decide to "come clean" doesn't mean all will be forgiven.

In this present "dispensation", coming clean is medicine after death and "may" not work...let's stop deceiving ourselves!

This would have been a better/mature way of responding to the story narrated by Yominent, than the way the holier than all guy responded. No one is saying we should encourage Yominent. More so, no one here is a VO, so the best one can do is to tell him ones opinion based on experience.

Like seriously, do you not have any iota of shame or a contrite spirit?

I have done some stupid and crazy stuff to my fellow beings but what I never do after restitution is go back to ask for the same thing that destroyed my integrity.

You are one of those who destroyed immigration chances for genuine couples when Nigeria was still eligible for visa lottery.

Bottom line

Proverbs 1:31

"Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, and have their fill of their own devices"

I pray you never set foot on this soil. Neither will you have family members that will apply to knock that misrepresentation off your record.

#very disgusting

Just read this on give birth tread

Got to the embassy today and there was no queue in sight, kept wondering if I was in the right place. Went inside and it was the same thing...didn’t even have to wait to be called. Think it was a day for special interviews (migrant etc.)

This ppl don refuse tire ppl don run God help Naija Ooooo buhari need to resign or stepdown chai

Did you just say Buhari need to resign or stepdown because the US embassy decided to deny some Nigerians VIsas due to what some Nigerians do when they get to the US? I think most Nigerians that havr never travelled abroad for once are just impossible. You think the Federal Govt. should do everything for you because you are a Nigerian? Believe me, as human you don't even have the RIGHT to ask that from God.

Lol...hope we would not see another post with "parrot for sale" because its becoming common practice for folks to jump into buying birds without considering the pros and cons of owning parrots. Anyway I wish you the best with your new pet.

Point of correction... I intend to sell my Parrots because I will be out of the Country for a while from September and I can't reasonably put them in the care of my Parents or Neighbours. Am sure we don't have pets hotel in Nigeria yet. The best bet is to either sell them or release them to fly away freely.

thank you sir for your advice, I'm really greatful. can you assist me on how to fill the ds160 form

Trust me, you have all the help you need on the early threads if you can be patient enough to read through it. Moreover the ds 160 form is self explanatory. Once you open it, you have one month to submit it, you need not rush yourself. Be honest as much as possible. If you feel the form yourself, you are mostly likely going to remember all the informations you filled in during the interview. It is never an excuse that someone helped you fill the form if the information are false. I accompanied someone to the PSFU Ikoyi, to write statement and answer charges of Italian Visa fraud/fake documents. His defence was that someone assisted him in filling the form... The question from the Police Officer was, ...did the consulate tell you to consult a travel agent? Except you are an illiterate or a minor, you can do this yourself. There is nothing wrong discussing with a trusted friend at every stage or telling him or her to go through your form before submission. You have 30 days to submit remember?

My experience on the US B1/B2 Visa application.

I paid for the visa application sometime in February this year. Myself, my wife and 3 kids. I filled the online forms myself and booked appointment for a datw in March (9:45am) with plans to travel in April.

On the day for the interview, we were turned back due to irregular appointment number. It was only my number that reflected on all other co-applicants appointments. We were told to reschedule in 72 hours.

I did as was told and choose, a date in May and also changed the date of our planned vacation to July.

Fast forward to May. We got to the Lagos office very early in the morning. Paid the usual #500 for parking. We ate our breakfast first and then proceeded to the queue and in we went because everything was alright this time.

After a lady confirmed out appointment etc, we joined the queue for the biometric. Myself, my wife and my 14 year old son. The other 2 children were younger than 14, so no need for biometric. After this, we again joined the queue for the interview proper. It was as if it was the judgment day. We could clear hear other visa applicants confessing before the VO. Some were almost begging, I could hear some lying with a straight face.

We were directed to cubicle 8. The VO was all smile. He was the same guy that did our biometric. The lady (applicant) directly before me was denied. My turn

VO: Good morning, immediately looking at his computer screen
Me: Good morning

VO: You are a .... (My job)?
Me: Yes.

VO: What is ...(a question only my professional colleagues would know).
Me: I defined the term without blinking nor 2nd thought.

VO: How many years have you been in practice of your trade?
Me: 8 years now.

VO: What Company do you work for?
Me: Named the Company sharply.

VO: Tell me about your daily work.
Me: I coincisely narrated my daily assignment.

VO: Hello Ma'am (my wife) where do you work?
My wife: I work with the Lagos State Government.

VO: Where?
My wife: Local Government.

VO: Which local government?
My wife: ... Local government.

VO: What level are you?
My wife: Level 9.

VO: Why are you traveling?
Me: Family Vacation.

VO: Do you know anyone in the US?
Me: No.

VO: Which State are you going in the US?
Me: Miami, Florida.

VO: How long do you intend to stay in the US?
Me: Just 2 weeks.

VO: Do you have any other kids aside from these 3?
Me: No. Just these 3.

VO: Do you guys have travel experiences?
Me: Yes.

VO: Where and where?
Me: UK, Germany, Spain and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

VO: You madam?
My wpaperKingdom of Saudi Arabia.

VO: Where are the Visas? I can't find them in your international passports?
Me: Yes, they are in our old international passports.

VO: And where are they?
Me: I left them in the car. I was told not to bring them in.

VO: Who told you not to bring them in?

He continued... Reaching for a white paper, he quickly wrote m case number, the date, my surname and marked the portion ...You are requested to provide additional documentation and then he wrote old passport.

VO: Show this document to the security, it will let you out and let you back in. Go and bring your old passports.

Me: OK Sir. Taking fast strides.

Upon my return from the car, with our old passports in hand, I went straight to him, with my family. He carefully went through all my visas and the one on my wife's old passport.

VO: Can I have all the passports back?
Me: Passed it to him sharperly.

He scanned them all again. He then looked up at me.

VO: Congratulations Mr. ..., your visas have been approved, you shall be contacted by the DHL office
Victoria Island in 72 hours via text messages or email to come and pick up your Visas.

Me: Thank you Sir.

It was our first attempt and we received the text messages and email in 72 hours. We have our visas now and the travel plans is in top gear. We booked the hotel.

Hello everyone. We have acres of land to sell at Ayetoro Yewa North, very close to Abeokuta in Ogun State. The land is suitable for farming purposes now, or future plan for an estate. The land is just off a newly tarred double lane. The ancient Ayetoro town is the local government capital of Yewa North Local Government. It is the home town of the present Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly. It is a business hub with more future potential of becoming the food basket of both Ogun State and Lagos State.
