1) The Blacker the College, the Sweeter the Knowledge
- Black people can educate you as well as anyone else

2) Crabs in a barrel
- Black people need to stop pulling each other down and work together

I could go on, but I will stop with those,

Some quotes:

Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. Malcolm X

I freed a thousand slaves I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves. Harriett Tubman

Lies, all lies. cheesy I've provided plenty of documented proof in which you and other always claim as being "not from a credible enough source" for your liking. Well I can't help you there. Either you believe the information I post up or you don't. That's all to it. You complain about my pictures; yet don't you acknowledge the well known understanding of that a picture speak a thousand words? Well I've posted up many comparison pictures and thus in turn have possibly spoken whole trilogies worth of document proof in doing so.
I have posted documentation as well and there are some facts that you seem to sometimes look past. The numbers of documented Africans from that group brought to the States doesn't match your theories. I have shown you the numbers from credible sources and it is impossible for your theory to be true. I just wish you would recognize that because it doesn't matter how many pictures you throw up because that is not a scientific representation of all AA's. smiley

Are you going to deny it again, and if so--- do you have proof to back yourself up this time? undecided
Everytime I provide proof, you provide pictures (too many) and then you leave the conversation. grin

He just might be. He is an African-American after all, and the majority of us are of significant Igbo descent if not fully so for many.
Do we have to go through this againhuh <shaking my head> LOL!

i agree with you. as of today i am black and i am nigerian. but that never existed hundreds of years ago. nigeria wasn't named by nigerians especially seeing the fact that we weren't speaking the same language. but like you said once something is then it is apart of our existence.
Yeah, I basically accept all the standard classifications that people that come from the continent of Africa were called in the States because they became the reality.

Black, African, Colored, Negro, African American, Afro-American, and many more!! LOL!

My Grandmother is 94 this year and to this day when she ask me about a Black girl she will say this: "Who dat colored gal ova dere?"

All these name changes to me are for other people because they couldn't deal with Negro (which means just Black in Spanish), or African, or Colored, I could care less because I am all of them.

and i think he is right. race was invented by white people so that they can seperate and thus discriminate. before them, there was nothing like black, or nigeria. there was igbo, yoruba, hause, and more, not nigeria, ghana, liberia, etc.
I agree with both of you but all social constructs (Nations, Nation-States, Races, Tribes, etc) are made by humans. Who determines what is right or wrong is based on whomever controls society and writes the history? Once something is, then it is already part of our existence. We can all say, and rightfully so, that there are no such thing a races of humans but it is a reality and a way to classify humans. Just like there is a country called the United States and it is man made. It didn't exist 300 years ago and people didn't classify them as such but it is a reality today.

I feel that type of argument is only good for intellectual fodder.
