Seems like this is your emotion getting the better part of you which is a normal reaction especially if you are traveling for genuine reasons.
The best thing British does is explain why you are refused and it’s for anyone to look at that refusal and on that basis respond accordingly when reapplying. If I were you, I’d address it immediately and have a strong yet very polite letter responding to the reasons for refusal and addressing all the concerns and better tidied up documentation. You don’t want to get to Portugal and an opportunity comes up and you wish you had the UK visa.
In 2017 I was going to Disneyland with my family the logical thing to do was apply through French embassy and we got refused. I had never ever since Schengen union been refused so I was livid as you know their own refusal is generic, it could mean anything except in the case they state you have a travel insurance issue . I was lucky enough to leave close to the embassy so I drove down and got the embassy email address, I emailed them a few times and then came a call from the embassy and it was from the consul general, they asked if we had been recently refused a visa from German embassy( this was my first time ever applying from anywhere else outside of German embassy so for them it was strange and they assumed I was coming to them) I responded by saying no, I was asked to send a new itinerary by email and a week later we were asked to bring in our passport to the embassy and collect that same day. I never ever take no for an answer, I may be in my emotions but I never let it get to me.
When you are in some of those 28 states you’ve mentioned then you’d realize the uk is just an hour away, 2 hours away etc.
I guess my point is your travel is genuine then you should 'fight' it

I've got some enquiries regarding the process you took in getting the Portuguese digital nomad visa. Did you use an agent or you did all on your own?

I did it on my own. It was easy, got it in 3 weeks.

I will advice for your next trial, if you can just withdraw what you need to spend for the month (NGN 1m) into another spending account. So your account balance shows only 1 inflow and min outflow per month.

Thank you for your input. I’m not even trying again anytime soon. Not in six months or 1yr. I’m starting my digital residency in PRT next month, I’d have like 28 countries to visit. I was hoping I’d fly from the UK to PRT.

Did you include a cover letter explaining the salary? Is the amount entering your wise account exactly the £4820.70 you stated on visa form? If it's not, did you explain on your cover letter? I assume the payslips should reconcile net amount received but these ECOs want you to spell it out to them.

The transfer to your Nigerian account, is your name shown in the bank memo for those transfers? Did you attach the Nigerian account or provide transfer proof or explanation in cover letter?

When did you give your biometrics ?

Explain my salary? I explained what I do, and how much I make per month - 6,500. My bank statement shows inflow of a bi-monthly payment of 3,250 with the trx reference showing my employer. The own account transfer shows the money was sent to my account carrying the same name, I didn’t attach my Nigerian account. I spend a lot, i couldn’t be explaining everything in my Naira account hence why I didn’t include it, also, I had huge amount in the Wise account, they should be able to make a decision with that.

It appears your monthly income as shown on your bank statement does not align with the monthly income you stated in your form.

How did you arrive at the figure you stated in your form? All debits in your account are seen as expenses.

Unless you have travel history to the UK, they will scrutinize your claims line by line. The salary you claimed and monthly debits caused the refusal.

My bank statement shows I make $6,500 pm, the ECO acknowledged that. That was the conversion rate when I was submitting my application. I have a Portugal digital nomad residency visa in my passport, I wouldn’t have gotten that if i wasn’t earning what I said I earn, yet the EFO wasn’t convinced with all other documents.

I didn’t explain my debits, 99% are own transfer to my NGN account. The figure of the expenses started are estimate of what I spend per month, not per the debits in my bank statement. I find it weird having to explain my debits when there are narrations in each of these transactions, these people just rejecting people for the most stupidest reasons - going through the cases on this thread after submitting my application, I saw people being rejected for not explaining how they got the deposit of amount as low as 2,000 NGN.

Did you submit the payment confirmation form after the payment? I believe the payment won’t be captured automatically without you claiming the payment.

I logged in and saw cancel appointment request and pending appointment request. I clicked on cancel appointment request. It has canceled but I'm having issues choosing a post after selecting LGS as state

I’d advise you use a PC for a better user experience. On the other hand, you might have issue with “Duplicate user found” with the appointment request you cancelled. If you do, just add your middle name to your first name and leave the middle name input field blank. You should be able to proceed.

How long have you been working? Besides, your deficit is just over 2k, that’s what you’d be projecting to the VO, that you’d be covering your 2k deficit from your personal savings. So, you are not disclosing your account balance to the VO and your school won’t care how you got the 5k in your account as long as it’s in the account statement presented to them.

You can finalize your new DS-160 form and send the confirmation page as requested. Once your DS-160 confirmation number has been updated by the AVITS team. It will reflect on your appointment which you can reprint. Might take like 48 business hours to be updated, so ensure you have enough time and more days ahead of your interview date.

Yes, you should pay your SEVIS fee to stand a better chance of having your expedited appointment request granted.

Select the earliest date available then you’d see a button on your appointment confirmation page to request for an expedited appointment. Click the button, explain why you are making the request, indicate your program start date and SEVIS ID in the content of the request, and attach your signed I-20 form.

Captured on Monday, April 4, got my passport yesterday April 7 @Festac passport office.

A young man, @__Stunner411 has taken to the micro blogging site, Twitter, to narrate his awful experience in the hands of the Intelligence Response Team (IGP-IRT) of the Nigeria Police Force.

Kehinde, in his narration, was on Saturday, March 20, unlawfully arrested, tortured before fleecing him of N1,000,000.

The rogue officers didn’t state his offense before bundling him to Alausa Police Station, Ikeja where they illegally searched his phones for possible incriminating materials.

Finding nothing but just his huge account balance, much terror and threatening were unleashed on him after which N20m was demanded only to settle for N1m.

He accused them of falsifying statement on him coupled with a doctored video of him confessing he is a fraudster.

Narrating his ordeal, Kehinde said “On the 20th of March 2021, myself and a friend were driving to the island when an unmarked sienna bus double crossed my car and four able bodied men jumped.

“Out in commando style pointing their AK470 riffle at us braking and ordering us to come down and enter their sienna, I was shocked as to what was going on, I refused to leave my car and enter the sienna. I was beaten, rough handled cloth torn and handcuffed.

“Like a criminal for refusing and standing on my ground to know what crime we have committed, after forcing me to enter my car, they drove us all the way to Alausa Police station Ikeja, Meanwhile our phones has been seized and we weren’t allowed to call anyone.

“These bastards kept going through my phone searching for what I don’t know, they finally stumbled on my account balance and I guess this triggered them to start calling me names like Hacker, Ritualist, saying where did a small boy like me got this amount of money

“They requested for 20M and said if I don’t provide it I’ll be flown to Abuja to meet their boss which will be much more worse. I was tasered, bruised, punched by Men of the IGP IRT for having money in my account. I am@into crypto trading/investment I never Committed any crime.

“After so many back and forth, they settled for 1million naira. These bastards wrote a statement for me claiming I’m a fraudster and even made a false video of me confessing that I’m a fraudster. I can still identify these men if I see them.

“They did everything so smoothly without any traces because they refused transfer and got the cash through POS. No names, No identity, I don’t even think they’re attached to the police station because I learnt that the IGP IRT guys and make use of any police station around.

Over 30 people have reportedly died in an horrific accident along Felele road, Lokoja, after a fuel tanker with failed breaks collided with a school bus.
