Do you know yourself that much? If you think you know yourself what do you know about yourself? Have you ever wondered what people may think if they finally find out what they are made of; knowing yourself is good and it will help you much and also helps your health because not all foods are good for your health during a particular period of time. If you study biology in your high school/secondary school days then you will probably get to know few things about yourself. Without wasting much further time let's get started.


Do you know how many bones and skeletal muscle are present in the human body? If no then here we go, Science makes us to know that an adult skeleton has more than 206 bones holding his skeletal structure together. And also it is believed that the human body has more than 600 individual skeletal muscles functioning in the human body.

Can you count the hair in your head? The answer is "NO" but science makes it possible for us to know that the average human hair has an average of 100,000 hairs.

Do you know how the kidneys in your body function? No is the answer but science makes it possible for us to know that the kidney contain at least 1 million individual filters. And do you know do you know the functions of the filter? NO. The filter is responsible for the filtering of 1.5 liters of blood per minutes and expel up to 1.4 liters of urine daily.

Another interesting fact about the human body is that a new born baby skull contains gaps between its bony plates where as in an adult the jagged plates interlock tightly like a jigsaw puzzle.

The skin of the human body contain approximately 640,000 sense receptors scattered unevenly over the body surface, these receptor are most abundant in the ridges of the fingertips in the lips at the tip of the tongue in the palms, on the soles of the feet, and in the genital.

The lungs in the human body contain over 300 million capillaries (tiny blood vessels) and if all this blood tiny blood vessels were to be laid end to end they would stretch up to 240km and that is approximately 150 miles.
In the human body hundreds of billions of neurons carry electrical signals that control the spinal cord.
Another thing is that the female ovaries contain nearly half a million egg cells yet only 400 of those eggs or so will ever get the opportunity to create a new life.

Malaria is a sickness that has been in existence for long. Unlike all other sickness, malaria is a sickness that is very dangerous and deadly and can claim any of its victims if not properly treated. Malaria is mostly common in Africa Nations and several measures have been put in place by the World Health Organisation (WHO) to curb the disease out of Africa totally. With the recent development in the health sector every year the mortality rate of malaria now drops which is good development but it still needs to go totally so that human life can be free from it.


So now let take a look at what causes the diseases Malaria. Malaria is a disease (very infectious disease) that is been caused by a germs known as plasmodium. This plasmodium germs is been carried about by mosquitoes.
And what causes mosquitoes? Mosquitoes are been caused by dirty water substance surrounding your house, probably from drainage surrounding your house or the one inside your house.
One of the fears of malaria is that once it affect human it makes you feel dizzy and weak and cannot make you to do anything and when not tested on time to detect it and treat it so that it cannot lead to death of the patient.

Most of the symptoms of malaria are:
- You will be having severe headache which will keep you away from doing what you want to do and this can also affect your thinking habit because you will not be able to concentrate your mind and have peace of mind.

- You will be having pains all over your body and this will make you feel uncomfortable and mostly at night you will not be able to sleep.

- You will always experience hotness all over your body.

- You will always have loss of appetite.

- You will always feel cold and experience shaking all over your body.

Malaria can be prevented using some of this simple method.
1. If there are mosquitoes in your environment and you want to sleep always make sure that it is been done under a long lasting insecticide net.

2. Always make sure that your kitchen is been well kept and also make sure that your foods are been covered properly.

3. Spray your insecticide with insecticide before going to bed.

4. Always make sure that water that surrounds your house is been properly cleared and removed and also make sure that drainage that are close to your house are been cleaned and not a water sticking drainage.

5. If there are bushes close to your house always make sure that they are been cleared and burnt as this might also be another factor causing mosquito.

When you do this you will save yourself from contacting malaria.

Exercising will always make you not to be sick. Exercise can also help you reduce weight when you perform it regularly and stay away from food that causes it. Exercise can also make your bone strong. Exercise can also keep you fit and strong. You have to exercise regularly in order to live and remain healthy.

What is exercise? Exercise simple means being active in order to be fit and strong and also keep you away from sickness and diseases.

What are the importance/benefits of exercise?
1. To keeps your muscles fit and flexible. When you exercise daily, your muscles are been relieved of stress and you will be easy to walk freely without any stress.

2. Helps in fighting infections better. When you exercise daily you hardly get sick and whenever you are sick you get recovered more quickly than when a non sports person is sick.

5. Exercise helps to burn up extra energy in the body. Such extra energy is normally stored as fat and this extra fat can make you add weight which you would not like to happen to your body. So if you exercise regularly you won't get fat.

6. It eases the flowing of blood from the body to the brain and also enhances more blood to be supplied to the brain.

7. Exercise keep your body feel relaxed and makes your mind to be at peace. It takes away worry from your mind.
8. Exercise also ease the digestion of food better and also make you sleep better at night because your body will feel relaxed and you have nothing bothering you.

You need to at least undertake any exercise for at least 30 minutes daily or at least 2 hours every week.

A nutritious meal is a meal that is prepared and served in the right amount or with the complete classes of food present in it.
So in this post I will be sharing some nutritional facts that you need to know and which will also be helpful to you and the various classes of food that you need to know with some listed example.

Some of the nutritional facts that you need to know are:
- Always make sure that you don't repeat the same classes of food three times a day. This can cause wilty nutrition and less nutritious to your health.

- Always make sure that you eat at least one fruit daily as this will give you up to 50% increase chance of not getting any diseases. Fruits are good to our health so always make sure you consume it.

So now let’s look at the some of the function of nails to our body and also to your health. Without the nails we can't scratch an itch that is in our body.. so it is with the nails that you can scratch an itch.. An itch may be a mosquito bite, a sand drop or a fly perch on your body.
It is also with the nails that little substances that our hands cannot pickup be picked up.. Little substance such as hairs. And hairs getting into our food can be poisonous and so please whenever you want to comb your hair always make sure that it is not done in the kitchen or anywhere close to where cooking of food is been done.
Another function of nails is that it helps to protect the blood vessel in the fingers thereby disallowing harmful substance to get in contact with your blood vessel.
Another hint to know is that the nails is made up of the same materials that both your hair and skin are made of.

1. Always make sure that your fingers are well trimmed and short so as to keep germs from not entering your body. Doing this all the time is healthy to your health.

A Federal High Court in Lagos yesterday sentenced a 32 year old man, Lawrence Aluagu, to life imprisonment for selling Indian hemp under Ojota bridge in Lagos state. Lawrence who is a first time offender was arrested on February 12th this year by NDLEA officials. About 200 grammes of the substance was recovered from the accused.
The presiding judge, Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia while delivering her judgement said

“The accused person is found guilty of the offence as charged, and is accordingly convicted. He is hereby sentenced to life imprisonment. The drug exhibits are to be destroyed by the NDLEA,” she said
The offence is said to have contravened the provisions of Sections 11 (c) of the NDLEA Act, Cap N30 Laws of the Federation, 2004.

Keeping yourself clean all the time can keep you away from sickness and also making your environment hygienic keeps you even more and more healthy. So always make sure that your environment is safe from germs so that germs that cause sickness will not come near your dwelling.


Also keeping your body clean will keep you fit and strong and make you look healthy. It will also make you look hygienic. As a saying goes that "Health is wealth". Good health brings about long life and less sickness. It also gives you peace of mind as you will not be bothered about your health because it is well kept and it poses no threat to your life.
So always make sure that you keep your body clean.

Now let’s look at some things that you must do to make your body clean and keep you fit.
1. You must at least take your bath once in a day and when doing this, it should be done with soup and water.

2. Taking care of your nail both in the toes and fingers by cutting them short and keeping them clean all the time.

3. Always make sure that you wash your hands with soap and water after coming out of the toilet, when you are back from school or sporting activities, after playing with pets and also after playing outdoors with friends.

4. Make sure that the water you want to drink is kept clean and boiled so that it should be safe from germs to drink.

5. Make sure that your towels and under-wears are not been shared with anybody so as to avoid contacting skin diseases.

6. To avoid mouth diseases, don't share your tooth brush with another person. If you have be doing this before you have to stop and get a new tooth brush because tooth brush is very cheap and can be gotten in any retail store.

7. Always make sure that the clothes you put on are always clean. This can be done by regular washing of your clothes.

8. When going out of your room or when you want to go outside your house make sure that your shoes are in your leg to avoid any danger that might be on the way if you use bare foot to walk.

9. Always make sure that you brush your teeth twice daily with tooth brush and tooth paste to be able to maintain fresh breath and shinning white and strong teeth
With these steps listed above i believe that you will now learn how to keep your body clean.

Now let’s take a look at what we can do to keep our environment clean.
1. Always make sure that your house is well swept and kept clean daily by sweeping it and mopping the floor.

2. Always make sure that your wastes are kept in the waste bin. Some things might be inside the house that you don't need anymore, so to avoid that inconvenience give it out to people if they are good or keep them in the waste bin if they are no longer good.

3. Always make sure that the bushes close to your house are well cleared so as to avoid wild animal coming to your home.

4. Always sweep water that gather around your premises away and also make sure that the gutters (drainage) close to your house are well kept so as to avoid mosquitoes and saving yourself from malaria.

With just these little steps listed above I believe by now you must have a re-think of mind and start keeping your body and environment clean.

So let’s look at the advantages of doing these things stated above.
1. You will not be infected with diseases because your body and environment are well kept.
2. Your body will always look nice and shining.

3. Your teeth will always be strong if you take of them by brushing them twice daily.

Most times you will just look at yourself and just be angry with yourself. Your look sometimes is not even attractive to yourself not to talk of attracted to other people. You might just feel so horrible and dull and sometimes it will make you sad and bring unhappiness to yourself.
Today i will be sharing on some possible habit that when involve in can help you improve your looks and make you quite happy with your looks.
Below are some of the point and how to go about it.

1. Drink Enough Water Regularly=> Water as you know is medicinal to the health and taking enough water regularly can help you improve your looks and also make you not to fall sick. It is believed that water taken early in the morning before anything else and water taken before going to sleep help to body to relax and protect you from less attack of sickness. Water taken at such time should not be cold as cold water can have adverse effect to your health. Water as believed to make you healthy can also help to reduce the appearance of pimples and wrinkles to your body. Water been sip slowly is also believe to help your body absorb it better than water just gushed in fastly and pounding.
Also note that caffeine and alcohol are diuretics and this mean that they cause the body to release water and such water can be translate into pastry, dry skin and more visible fine lines, offset your consumption of drinking of such beverages by drinking water as a replacement for such caffeine or alcoholic drink you indulge in as it will help you to grow naturally and enriches your body.

2. Avoid Taking Too Much Sugar And Simple Carbs=> Sugar as also believed also have good and bad effect to your health. When taken moderately it is good but when taken in excess it is believed that it will definitely have side effect to your health and you are a prone patient of diabetics as believed that sugar can cause this sickness. It is also believed that a diet that is high in lean protein, vegetable, slow digestive grams and healthy fats is one that can help reduce bloating in the belly and also decrease any puffiness in your face. Staying away from sugars and simple carns diet can go a long way in keeping you fit and eliminating puffiness in your body.

3. Always Try To Get Enough Sleep=> Getting the required sleep can also help you improve your looks and keep you fit. Sleeping can be looks differently by some people as sleeping much people can think that to be laziness. But getting the required sleep here i mean by saying that you should rest well after a long day work and not also indulge yourself in other things after working hours. It is also believed that good sleep refreshes the body and during sleeping hours it is believed that the body repairs itself and not getting this required good sleep can make your system less efficient. Sometimes you feel weak when you experience sleepless night and continuous deprivation of sleep can make you look dull and haggard. Always try to get enough sleep.

4. Wash Your Hair Not More Than Once A Week=> Washing your hair is good most especially to make it look good and nice. When applying shampoo to wash your hair make sure that it is not applied more than once a week as over applying of shampoo can rip your hair of its natural oil thereby making it to look dull and brittle as hair not well kept.

5. Exercise Should Not Be Negotiable=> Exercising helps to keep you healthy and fit and should not be negotiable. Exercises should be implemented in your body for at least 3 times a week as this will make your body look strong, give you strong bones and immune system and also improve your outward appearance there helping in slowing down the ageing process in your life. You can engage in any form of exercises like taking a walk down the street, jugging early morning and so on... This will improve your health life and make you feel strong all the time.

6. Brush regularly=> For a more attractive smile always brush your teeth in the morning before eating and in the evening after eating supper. Nothing can beat a great smile with a nice fresh breath.

7. Take Proper Care Of Your Skin=> To look more beautiful and attractive also try to take good and proper care of your skin. Avoid exposing your skin to sourching sunlight. Also try to avoid using bleaching creams and too many skin care products. Use cream that is good for your skin doesn’t try to be fair when you know that you are dark as the saying goes "Black is beautiful".

Mango have many health benefits and what is can be used for. Below are some of the benefits
1. Weight Gain=> The mango fruit milk therapy is an effective measure to cure thinness. Specifications will be applied in order for this to work effectively. The specifications are as followed; Each day select four fresh mangoes, take two in the morning, after like an hour take one cup of milk. The remaining two should be taken at night probably after eating supper followed as by one cup of milk. Try as much as to repeat this process for two weeks and see the changes.

2. Safe Contraception=> Mango seed also helps in safe contraception. The mango powdered seed mix with a little water is an effective and safe contraceptive means. How to apply; Rub inside the vagina with this mixture 30 minutes before intercourse.

3. Refreshing Tonic=> Get the bark of the tree and scrape out the outer layer leaving only the inner bark. You can either grind or pound it and after that put the paste in a plate and add one glass (tumbler) of water. Leave for two hours and the mixture will turn milkish in colour. Taking 1/2 wine glass of this quickly give one a feeling of coolness, replenish lost energy and can easily send the person to sleep. It's other function is that it also expels worms in the body.


4. Leucorrhea=> Leucorrhea occurs in female and it is a whitish discharge from the vagina. What to do when seeing it is that you should collect mango seeds (kernel), dry it in a shade, powder and store in a good container. Add at least seven teaspoons to four tablespoons of water and then mix properly. Apply liberally to the affected area. This process is intended to give a measure of relief.
