Company bringing investment and you are still very bitter. Bitterness and bitter Obi supporters are like 5&6.

Below is my two Amex card (both corporate and personal). Bringing this to Naija and giving business the luxury to have $10k limit for starters is a good step. You don’t need to be bitter about every news like Obi.

You’re right. It’s akin to just saying sentence for life.

99% of the governors won’t sign the death penalty.

When are they going to approve same for National and State looters? undecided

They will still approve it. But for now, it’s drug trafficker case they are treating.

Drug traffickers deserve cruel death just as national and state looters deserve to be sentenced for life too.

Politics / Senate Approves Death Penalty For Drug Traffickers by LegendHero(m): 4:36pm On May 09
Senate on Thursday, May 9, approved the death penalty for those convicted on the charge of drug trafficking in the country.

The punishment prescribed in the extant NDLEA Act is a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.

The resolution of the Senate followed its consideration of a report of the Committees on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters and Drugs and Narcotics, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Act (Amendment) Bill, 2024.

The Chairman of the Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights & Legal Matters presented the report during plenary, Senator Mohammed Monguno (APC-Borno North).

The bill, which passed its third reading, aims to update the list of dangerous drugs, strengthen the operations of the NDLEA, review penalties, and empower the establishment of laboratories.

Section 11 of the current act prescribes that “any person who, without lawful authority; imports, manufactures, produces, processes, plants or grows the drugs popularly known as cocaine, LSD, heroin or any other similar drugs shall be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to be sentenced to imprisonment for life” was amended to reflect a stiffer penalty of death.

Although the report did not recommend a death penalty for the offence, during consideration, Senator Ali Ndume moved that the life sentence should be upgraded to the death penalty.

During a clause-by-clause consideration of the Bill, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, who presided over the session, put the amendment on the death penalty to a voice vote and ruled that the “ayes” had it.

But Senator Adams Oshiomhole objected to the ruling, saying that the “nays” had it.

He argued that matters of life and death should not be treated hurriedly, but Barau said it was too late, as he failed to call for division immediately after his ruling.

The bill was subsequently read for the third time and passed by the Senate.

Politics / Wike Bona Fide Member Of PDP, Not Working Against Our Party — Bode George by LegendHero(m): 6:22pm On May 08
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Bode George has described the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike as a bona fide member of the party, saying he (Wike) is not working against the party.

George stated this while speaking during an interview on Arise Television.

The elder statesman noted that Wike, a former Governor of Rivers State, had written a letter to the party, stating his intention to work in the ruling All Progressive Congress government of President Bola Tinubu.

When asked if the minister is working against the party, The former National Vice Chairman of the PDP (Southwest) said, “That’s exactly what I’m driving at. They (Wike and Atiku) just didn’t get out in different directions, something happened. And the party leaders must come down, do an in-depth post-mortem analysis of what happened.”

Justifying Wike’s appointment in the APC-led government, George said, “Once party A wins an election, it opens the door to say, ‘Let’s have a united group.

“When Obasanjo won the election in 1999, he invited people from ANPP, APGA, AD,” citing examples of the late Chief Bola Ige who served as the Attorney-General of the Federation, while he was a member of the Alliance for Democracy.

“We can’t just have a Berlin wall to say that once you’re a member of this, you can’t serve there. The fact that you’re serving there doesn’t mean you’ve left your party.

“According to Wike, he wrote a letter to serve in the APC government. He still plays the music. How can he work against the PDP? I don’t believe it,” adding that “there are issues to be sorted out.”

On the status of the PDP in Lagos State, George said, “I just came back from Ibadan where we had an elders’ meeting in respect to discordant voices that are coming out from Ondo State. People should get back to their various Local Governments and contribute their quota.

“It’s unfair for committed members of the party to make such assertions in public. Discipline is part of the management in any organsation. What Pearse said isn’t correct,” adding that the party leadership is working on numerous reformations.

Time to nuke this state.

Breweries could be a good thing.

When all communities drink to stupor daily, who will have time to be fighting and killing each other?

Police already took possession of the criminal.

They should just cut his hands so that he won’t have the means to constitute nuisance again.

How can you leave your state only to steal and vandalize public properties in another state.
