Beautifulday: Atiku that has never won any election in his life. Not even councillorship Aha aha! Atiku already won the governorship election in his home state Adamawa in 1999, before Obasanjo invited him to be his vice president. Although I'm not his fan, he is not a smart and a well calculated politician, he has lost many of his chances in the past due to his not being smart enough and wrong calculation, now he is too old, he should go and rest, enough of these old politicians, we need a young president now with strength and high level of mental capacity |

lonelygem: shame on on them and their yeye governance ideology.
there was never a time poverty is not in jubilation state in Nigeria or African countries as a whole. as far as memory can permit me, so called president was a well grown adult when OFN was lunched way back then prioritizing food security. I grew to know what is called 'iyan Buhari' meaning Buhari's pounded yam. all these were nicknames given to the food items door step delivery intervention programs that we enjoyed as a growing child and our parents appreciated till date. Reasons why our parents who were school teachers with such meager income were able to sponsor 3, 4 kids through University same time.
Talking about the toddlers scouting around Abuja roads for means of survival, at what point has it become a concern to him if not for the embarrassment it posses on him siting such heartrending situation they've constantly swept under the carpet. must every hungry Nigerians pick up a plastic bowl to beg for alms before this government feel concern?? because some people's condition is worse than what you see the kids doing on the street.
I have gone to eat at an eatery where an average age Nigerian youth whisper in my ears that I should please assist him by leaving a little leftover that he would know how to pick up my plate afterwords.. when I interacted with him, he wasnt actually a begger, he had stayed two days without food and he had to stay out of jod because the salary couldnt cater for transportation and coupled with several other factors..
Northerners have embraced their problems over years and surviving through whichever means, why is the government trying to downplay its primary responsibility to the nation as a whole..
people have landed properties that had been abandoned for fear of banditry. it takes grace of God to leave for work in the morning and come back home safely without a story that touch..
in the space of 4 days, my street was robbed twice. this is a street that has police post 300 meters away.. we put a call across to police, the DPO responded with sleepy voice and it took over three hours before they eventually called back that they didnt have fuel to move and they couldnt locate the particular street on foot.
I think the Government should just be focused on its responsibilities to its citizen before pointing accusing fingers.
'Na papa wey get property fit get mouth to say e wan disown pikin no be the one wey pikin don already know say in no get anything to gain from the papa afterall..' Nigeria is not the first country to experience growing population problem. When India's population was getting beyond control, the government has to enact a law to control the growth of their population. India population is over 1 billion, yet their country is not a backward nation like Nigeria. Curruption is the main problem of Nigeria and until that is resolved, Nigeria will continue to be a backward nation. Sikena |

Politics › Re: Power Crisis: Gencos Kick As Tinubu Approves ₦3.3 Trillion To Clear Legacy Debt by Lekby25: 9:56am On Apr 06 |
yemre: Thank you very much. Pls tell him the truth. Actually, to them, they're doing Peter Obi a favour by insulting the government on his behalf, and Obi himself has never come out to condemn the insults, meaning he's enjoying it. But unfortunately, they're demarketing him because it merely shows the caliber of followers he has and the category of people he represents.
They need to grow up.
Back to the matter, I'm beginning to see the gencos as saboteurs in this matter. A debt that hasn't been paid in decades is now being revisited by this government with a view to finding a lasting solution to the epileptic power generation and supply and that is when you're now saying you would not agree.
I think the government should give new licenses for power generation and allow fresh investors to go into the business if the existing gencos prefer to be ignored. That is the only solution. They are not ready to deliver. |

Jagaban2012: And leave the debt of those who came to invest in your power sector... just imagine, you came with your hard-earned money to invest and generate power for the country, and the government refused to pay your service delivery charge for over 7 years. How will you feel... just think before you answer the question... My friend all of them are not serious. The investors entered into the business of power supply without technical ability and the financial muscle to deliver. All of them are just looking for quick money, they never had the intention of a good service. What have they been looking for over 7 years without payment and they kept quiet |

Sports › Re: “Football Money Is Temporary — I Own 2 Estates To Fall Back On” — Victor Osimhen by Lekby25: 11:44pm On Mar 30 |
DeLaRue: Owning 2 estates is good, but not the best approach. Too much concentration of risk.
If he owns 2 estates, that suggest he's probably letting them out. The wear and tear on rented properties in Nigeria can badly reduce the value of the properties in the long run. What looks like a shiny modern estate today, can become a run down and highly devalued estate in 15 years time.
Also, owning an entire estates of rented properties will not do much for the value of each property in the long run. The houses may become difficult to sell individually in the future.
Concentrating ownership in such a way is also risky. Just one unfortunate incident can tarnish the reputation of an entire estate and undermine the value of the properties.
A better bet will be to spread the risk by buying properties in multiple upmarket and middle class locations. That way, he is spreading risk. He can even build first class hotels in expensive cities around the world. Messi has invested heavily in first class hotels around the world |

Even Buhari that was the worst president Nigeria ever had was untouchable until his passing away.
