Singer and ‘Sebi Wo’ crooner Taiwo Agbohunsa popularly known as Lace has said that he has what it takes to compete favourably with Wizkid and Davido.


The singer who has been sevarally commended as talented by industry stakeholders has an album titled ‘Benin 2 Nigeria’, and is signed on to Dozage Records. Lace recently released video of a new single, ‘Turn by Turn.’
In an exclusive interview with www.iCampusng.com, Lace said “the sky is big enough for everybody; you ask if I can compete at the same level with Wizkid and Davido, I say yes! I am talented, creative and original. I have over 80 recorded songs and I doubt if any of them have such a rich repertoire of songs. I am a fan of both acts and a personal friend to Olamide. My songs speak for themselves. I make good music and I now have quality people working with me. From now on, you will be hearing a lot about me and my music.”
Lace has worked with big names in the industry like, Olamide, Phenom & renowned female producer DJ Toxic.

Nollywood diva and singer, Cossy Orjiakor, who has been having problems with some of the tenants living in her property in Ilasa area of Lagos State, has stated why she is having problems with some of them. Cossy said that many her tenant have not paid there house rent .

She said :
Can you Imagine, I am supposed to be collecting N2.6M annually from my house, but up till now the tenants have not paid up to one hundred thousand naira. They complain they don’t have money but you see them using their generators every day and night. ain't they using money to buy fuel for the generators?” she asked .

Cossy raised alarmed some weeks ago that one of her tenant , who has threatened to deal with her if she doesn't withdraw the quit notice she served him months ago.

She said this weeks ago : “This dude threatens me. His rent is overdue, but he doesn’t want to move. I was slapped by his group member some days ago. But I can’t be intimidated.

Late singer, Kefee Don-Momoh, will be laid to rest on Friday, July 11, 2014, 31 days after she passed away in a U.S hospital.

According to her publicist, the ‘Branama’ singer will be buried in her hometown – Okpara-Inland, Ethiope East local government, Sapele, Delta State.
Kefee’s husband Teddy Don-Momoh recently revealed that the singer’s family insisted she be buried in her hometown.
Kefee’s body is still in the U.S; Teddy has however been making arrangements to bring her back to Nigeria

Nigerian Pop singer and HKN records signee, B-Red has debunked reports that musical acts signed onto the label (HKN) are solely working for the success of Davido, the newly crowned prince of African Music.

The singer who claimed the label is happy with the accomplishments of Davido, noted also that all members of the gang get credit because they all work as a team.

“We are a team. Davido is very big in Africa today. We all get the credit together as one family. I mean, I was practically very popular already in the industry before I dropped one single. We are HKN and we are happy to produce the biggest artiste in Africa right now.

“I have dropped three singles and have been climbing the ladder of fame on a steady rate! ‘Iwaju’ is big in Nigeria right now; everybody attests to that. Watch out for me as well as Sina Rambo, Danagog and Deekay,” he said during an interview with Premium Times.

No doubt, a debut album is an important tool for distinction among artistes; it is a body of work that places you above ‘rookie status’. No matter how many hits you score, if you can’t offer an album, you remain stuck in the upcoming zone and are not considered a full-fledged artiste.

Okay here’s what, Davido in a recent interview at his house by AvantTV revealed, “I’m a big fan of Wizkid. We might work together, we might not. If we do, it’s going to be crazy no doubt.”

Davido who also revealed that ‘HKN’ means ‘Honorable Kings of New-school’ also laid to rest several rumors as well as cleared the air on the botched deal with ‘Orezi’.
When asked why HKN didn’t sign Orezi as earlier speculated, he said, “I was just hanging with Dude one day and I decided to tell him, Dude, lets just be friends. And that was it.”

The new BET crowned prince of African music, Davido has finally refuted claims that his hit song “Aye” was written by Dilly Records latest signee, Runtown.

Davido while fielding questions about “Aye” from AvanteTV, stated, “Runtown and TSpice work great together. TSpice sent me a couple of beats and We recorded like three songs and everyone was just like, this is the one. So we shot the video naturally. Everything about me is natural.”


When asked if Runtown wrote the jam “Aye”, he revealed, “No. But the producer got the beat’s check (he got paid). He (TSpice) is a talented producer.“

The official report was that she drowned in her bathtub in a Beverly Hills hotel. The world number one pop star, Michael Jackson, died not far from the same location in 2009 after his doctor administered a lethal dose of the sedative Propofol. Also, British singer Amy Winehouse was troubled by addiction and died of alcohol poisoning.
In recent years, there has been excessive use of drugs and alcohol among Nigerian entertainers with many of them still struggling to manage the damaging effects. Experts say alcohol and drug abuse is a problem in the general population but entertainers are especially vulnerable because of the long hours on the road and the intense demands of keeping up with performances.
There’s a lot of down time, a lot of traveling, a lot of boredom, a lot of sitting, a lot of doing nothing and more.
Drug and alcohol abuse is a special risk for those who find fame and fortune as performers.
Music is one of the most influential art forms of today’s society, and drugs, especially to today’s youth, just add to the attractiveness of it all.
Some young musicians think drug use is part of being creative so they delve into it without thinking twice.
According to MORALMORE, an upcoming artiste based in Abuja, music is life and what it takes a man to do music is passion ‘those who do drugs are just influenced by it. We know a lot of people who sing songs today and can’t do without getting tipsy before getting on stage. Sometime you see them drinking carelessly that they even misbehave. In Nigeria, no entertainer has ever been prosecuted for drug related offenses just like in the USA where they are either charged for DUI (driving under the influence.)
It’s a risky and complex game within a game that plays itself out on a public stage. When entertainers want to impress their fans and be among the ‘A’ list on the world stage they indulge themselves in these atrocious attitudes.
Many celebrities today are suffering from one disorder to another. Take Majek Fashek for instance he once said in an interview that ‘I don’t do drugs. I use spiritualism. I’m spiritually filled. I smoke Igbo and I drink.’ What that means is he makes himself happy by indulging in such and he is looking better than ever.
