I'm a Christian but I can never support what is happening in the Gaza strip. It's pure terrorism and cruelty to innocent humans and grave injustice of the highest level. Anybody supporting that nonsense must be mad and sick in the head. You can't claim to love God and be supporting the killings of innocent people. I'd support anything that would bring to an end, all the madness going on in the Gaza strip even if it means a coalition being formed to battle Israel. This current day Israel is not the one that God gave a promise to. He gave a promise to Christians and not Jews.

Why not where GEJ left it?
Beacause during GEj 's time price of oil was high and the return was use to subsidize the circulation of dollar, simple law of supply.Buhari's Government will need to borrow heavily at a cost to increase circulations to the level GEJ did .Didnt vote for this government just being practical.

Investment / Re: How I Was Cheated By Mutual Benefits Life Assurance Ltd by lekside071: 7:24pm On May 16, 2016
ehinja:
My story started in 2011 when I decided to partake in an Individual Savings and Protection Plan (ISPP) by Mutual Benefits Life Assurance Ltd.
[img][/img]I decided to contribute N20, 000 (twenty thousand naira only monthly) and did so for most of 2011 till December of same year bringing the total amount contributed by me to N140, 000 (One hundred and Forty Thousand naira only).
Due to personal reasons I could not continue with my monthly contributions and wanted to withdraw my money saved but was told by the agent I will be duly penalized for not continuing for at least 36 months. As a result I decided to wait till the full tenure of the policy which will be 2016.
Fast forward 5 years later 2016 in April (15th) I was at the mutual benefit office to sign for my money withdrawal and was told to expect a discharge voucher which came via email on the 25th of April 2016.
To my outmost dismay, of the N140, 000 I contributed according to the voucher sent to me I was going to be given back N85, 832.88 after 6 years of waiting to get my own money back!
I immediately called one of their numbers hoping it was an error but was told that is the money due me as the savings plan has an element of insurance to it and that also I did not save consistently for the 6 years the plan was in place hence there are charges accrued which have been duly deducted from my suppose savings!!!.
I have attached copies of what I saved and the discharge voucher I was sent for people to see as I do not think it is fair. I have learnt my lesson the hard way and will like to use this medium to advice others to stay away from Mutual Benefits Individual Savings and Protection Plan (ISPP) as it is not drawn up to provide any benefits to participants.

I understand your pain my brother. But I having a little understanding of what may have transpired having worked with an insurance company before. Firstly the agent that sold the insurance policy did not tell you the truth from inception and tricked you into a long term policy because this would increase his/her commission. From the name of the policy it has a saving and protection or a life insurance embedded in it. Now if you have contributed 140k, part of it will go on an investment account while the premium of the protection part ( Life insurance) will be deducted annual. Dont assume the whole 140k is an investment because there is a fee you have to pay for your life insurance.God forbid if anything had happened to you an amount would have been paid as benefit. Note that premium paid on life insurance is non refundable because its a service. So what may have happened was that the premium to cover your life was deducted constantly for 6 yrs out of your 140k and if not for the investment that may have accrued your contribution, you will be getting a less or nothing. I am no longer in the insurance industry but I just tried to put the bits together to analyse what MAY HAVE TRANSPIRED....

What is wrong with apc Why do they love violence.... vote no be fight.....

I know if it's also possible apc e warriors on NL will remove the president adverts on nairaland fear this men

But God pass them sha Gej till 2019

How to be an apc supporter Is that y he should kill him? Are you justifying his death because someone lost control of himself and killed the other in the name of politics.Nothing can justify a man that takes another persons life.

1. Create lies; 2. Attack and insult
violently when facts are presented;

3.Scream "Sai Buhari" if faced with
superior argument.

4. Lose your sense of rationality and
logic.

5. Insult the president and anyone
that supports him

6. Lie that GEJ stole $49 billion.

7. Disagree with any event or post
that portrays GEJ in a goodlight and
agree with any event or post that
portrays GEJ in a badlight.

8. Disagree with any event or post
that portrays GMB in a badlight and
agree with any post showing him in
a goodlight.

9 Celebrate boko haram attacks by
shouting "GEJ is Clueless, Our
soldiers are weak and 6weeks is
counting oh"

10 remove any billboard that has president and pdp inscription on it

But Gej will keep defeating them

I am so disappointed in Nigeria Christian leaders, the rate at which they get involved in political issues is alarming.
I wonder why their Muslim counterpart don't spew trash about politics same way they do.

Have u heard of man of God called Reverend Desmond Tutu? Or Reverend Jesse Jackson...The fact that patience jonathan just visited November should tell u something. GEJ days are numbered,he should honorably resigns.

It was d same buhari who took dis OIC, some 30 yrs ago! Say no to religious bigotry..say no to buhari!!

That was in his past and under a Military rule which won't be easy in a democratic setting. But you should also understand that Buhari led government dealt with corruption with no record of fund mismanagement even though it was very very easy to steal money then than now.Abeg this story will not change the minds of Nigerians that are tired of level of corruption in this regime where no single corrupt person has been brought to the books in 6 yrs.we need a change.
Car Talk / Re: New Year Gift From Govt : Tokunbo Cars To Cost More From January 1 by lekside071: 11:59am On Dec 31, 2014
kennaustine:
^^^ Whats really wrong with y'all APC propagandist? The increase in tariffs for imported automobile is to encourage local automobile manufacturers. Common SS2 Economics student will tell you that one way of encouraging local production is increasing import tariffs. That's called Import Substitution Strategy. Aren't you ashamed that Nigeria has become a dumping ground for every kind of crap produced in other climes? We have Innoson, PAN, ANNAMCO, VON, Nissan and other automobile manufacturers in Nigeria and we know that government is trying to revitalize them so as to boosts our economy. Yet you criticize this one very good move government makes to see to its realization. Many of these imported cars have been used for above five years and then they're moved to Nigeria for dumping, after which when you buy, you'll use for no more than three years and the money u would have spent on repairs and maintenance may have exceeded the original cost. Some brand new Innoson cars go for 1.5m and they're trying to beat it down to 1m. So which is better ; buying a brand new car for 1.5m and enjoying it for 3 to 4 years without excessive repair cost or buying a tokie car for 800thousand and spending over 500thousand on repairs in 3 years. A relation of mine has spent about 300th on repairs on a tokie car he bought for about 800th and the car IS STILL HAVING ISSUES. Wont it have been better to just buy a brand new made-in-Nigeria car and save yourself some unecessary stress. Why are we so used to cheap craps and worthless articles? Is that what APC wants for us? SMH. Which way Nigeria? #SeeBeyondPropaganda

Your analysis is like that of person that wants to start building a house from the ROOF! Its a good idea when all the foundation required to make it work is in place. And its suppose to be in stages after an alternative means has been created.who is going to buy the new car? With what resources? Where are the jobs? Comparing our economy with that of advance countries where loans are easy to obtain using only your citizenship as a collateral. What are the alternative? Responsible government that have such policies have good transport, rail system for people to fall back to.But this case is like leaving a month old baby in the colds of the night. This is not a people oriented policy. The manufacturers and capitalist are the winners here.I think we need a change .Lets try someone else at least. My future and my sons future is at stake.Nigeria stand up and vote out GEJ.
