Fashion / Re: How Far Would You Go To Look Beautiful? by lekwas: 4:51pm On May 07, 2008
hey gals, i like this topic, though i'm not so much into cosmetics.
but suffice it to say, i appreciate people who are able to find time to create a beauty regime for themselves. please is anyone knowledgable about good skin care products that a not too dark skinned person can use? i'm a very busy person and probably have not had time to take good care of my skin. i need help, i guess my years of carelessness is begining to have its toll on me.
i am not dark neither i'm i fair complexioned. i need a range of skin products that will help me refresh my skin and help it glow. i am against anything tha will bleach me.

Literature / V - Monologues Nigeria by lekwas: 12:32pm On Apr 30, 2008
The Vagina Monologues have been running in Nigeria for some years now.
This year, organisers are saying that it has got a Nigerian identity because they are using real stories submitted by everyday Nigerian women.
There have been 3 shows already this month in Abuja and Lagos but you still have the chance to catch 3 more.
The play includes stellar cast like Kate Henshaw, Stella Damasus, Yinka Davies, Bimbo Akintola, Omonor Imobhio, Ashinoye and Tunde Aladese. Directing is acclaimed writer and Director Wole Oguntokun (Laspapi)

I saw some snippets of video from the Abuja show and it was really striking.
Omonor Imobhio was acting a skit, it was really comical and the crowd was laughing along, then she gets to a key juncture of the story and there was dead silence. Such a poignant moment.
If you are in Lagos, get out and waatch it! Send us your reviews as well.

God bless the person that sent this thread.
when i'm down and feel like God is far, yet i want to reach out and touch him. i sing
Here i am Lord,
my life is in your hand
take and use me
i am your instrument
it is your love that keeps me thru the day
and your grace wont let me go astray
i dont know where i'd be without you leading me

i'm your child Lord,
i humble myself to thee
for without you
there's nothing i can do
now i know, when troubles come my way
it is strength that keeps me come what may
everyday
you keep me in perfect peace,
when my mind is stayed on thee.
CH
i thank you for all that iam
for giving me courage to stand, and when i am weak
you hold my hand
you tell me that i realy can
i praise you for all that you are
i wont have made it this far
so iwant to take time to say
that i realy love YOU
