Yeah I agree with cap28, I don't see why anyone should swagger cause they're Nigerian. I mean I cannot think of one thing that country has done for me.
BUT I also think NO ONE should ever look down on me because I happen to come from Nigeria. Just because my passport says I'm Nigerian should not be enough to put me in one box.

But yeah its crazy, a lot of people hate Nigerians. I once ran into this English man who told me his story of how he was robbed the first day he was in Nigeria. He was so bitter! I just mumbled something and ran away

So is someone 'Igbo' or 'Ibo'? Is the language 'Igbo or Ibo' and lastly is the place 'Igbo or Ibo'?

Also if I want to say for example, 'this statue is not of yoruba origin, it is of 'Ibo' origin, is that correct?

Well anti-semitism did not start with Hitler, it started with people blaming Jews for killing Jesus (which I think is the most stupid thing I have ever heard, in fact you should be thanking them as Jesus came to die for our sins).

Anyway back to why Hitler hated Jews:
well when he was young, he couldnt' get into Art school, he was poor and he saw that most Jewish people were very wish, so from then on, there was resentment and hate.
Secondly, during the Great Depression after WWI, Germany was doing badly. Hitler needed a reason for why Germany was doing so badly. He blamed the Jews, but really it was due to the Treaty of Versailles and how much money Germany had to pay back. So the Jews were really his vehicle into power, people started to believe it was their fault.

Anti-semtism is sad, at the moment some people believe there is some kind of Jewish conspiracy, so we should get rid of the Jews. I guess people don't learn from history.

I think of course speak your language but PLEASE for the sake of those around you, don't speak so loud. And I'd say the same for anyone regardless of whether they are speaking the Queen's own English or French.

Hi all, I just joined this trend and I am shocked at the intense yoruba/igbo/hausa bashing. For God's sake, we are all NIGERIANS and I assumed we would have some sort of solidarity. But this is not the case, instead all I hear is 'yoruba people are dirty', 'igbo people are rude or loud', I can't really remember what they said about Hausas but it wasn't much better.

I honestly think it is silly and pointless to have these stupid tensions especially at a time when we are more or less the laughing stock of this continent. We have our stupid corrupt politicians in power, we have loads of foreigners hating Nigerians, and we have huge massive corporations like shell making a PROFIT over our people's sufferings. For God's sake, some people can't eat a full three meal and Shell is making billions from OUR oil. THAT is what we should think about, those are the people we need to talk about and bash and in that sense, all unite against these issues. I mean I honestly honestly have met loads of Nigerians from different places and thought they were nice, sure we have slight differences but way more similarities. Anyway I hope I don't get a lot of insults for what I just said, but please I hope there are people who at least agree with me
