Sports › MUST READ: Sepp Blatter Message To Nigeria by Lempeh(op): 10:12am On Nov 29, 2013
A member of FIFA statutes committee and former Vice president of NFF Amanze Uchegbu-lam who is well respected for his knowledge of the game, was in Warri to delivered goodwill messages of FIFA President, Sepp Blatter and CAF President Isa Hayatou to the General Congress of the FA yesterday.

Amanze Uchegbu-lam’s address was factual, his delivery dramatically entertaining and the response from the hall was an ovation... stay calm and read Amanze's speech to the general congress of FA in Warri yesterday.

Amanze said that Blatter recalled the drama at the VIP box in China during the Olympics soccer semi final event between Nigeria and Belgium.

Hayatou, the CAF President and Michel Platini, the UEFA President, were seated for the game and before Blatter boasted so much about the outcome that they challenged each other with a betting on who will win.

Hayatou boasted about Africa’s representative Nigeria and Platini gave the match to Belgium. Blatter was not only a witness but also the arbiter in the betting. When Nigeria scored the first goal, Hayatou moved over to Platini and said “I told you! Second goal came, he moved over and said “I told you.”
When Nigeria scored the fourth goal, Hayatou yelled to Platini, “it is finished.”

Blatter, according to Uchegbulam recalled that drama and said they should tell the delegates to ensure that Eagles do well in the World Cup so that they can all recall the China drama.

Amanze recalled that the message to Nigeria in 2011 Congress was for peace to reign in our football, following the many litigations that the NFF was going through. In Port Harcourt in the last Congress, peace had returned.

Then Amanze said that “this year the result of peace could be seen in the achievement recorded in the Nation Cup victory, world Cup qualification and the U-17 victory in UAE.

In his own remarks, NFF President, Aminu Maigari reeled out all the achievements and said that the ultimate for his board was to go to Brazil and put up a performance that no other Africa country has been able to achieve in the World Cup. And that would mean going beyond the quarter final.

Meanwhile, in the charity match, Enyimba defeated Kano Pillars 2-0

Romance › Strictly For Guys!!! How To Get Rid Ofan Annoying Girl In 6 Simple Steps by Lempeh(op): 8:46am On May 01, 2013
Almost every guy has encountered anannoying girl that doesn’t seem to get themessage that he’s just not interested. Here are a few ways to get that pest off your back:
1. Don’t Communicate:
If you want to get rid of a girlyou don’t like, then don’t communicate with her in any way. Don’t call or text her, don’t pick her calls or reply her texts. Don’t chat with her or get across to her in anyway. Communicating with a girl makes her feel that you’re interested. If you’re not, don’t do it.
2. Avoid Her:
Avoid her like the plague. If you hear she’sgoing to be somewhere, then don’t go there. Do what you can to keep from seeing her. If she doesn’t see you for a long time, hopefully she’llforget about you.
3. Ignore Her:
If for some reason you bump into this girl, then ignore her. Pretend you didn’t see her and don’t look in her directionfor any reason.Pretend you don’t know herif you have to. If she has any respect for herself, she’ll leave you alone to avoid public embarrassment.
4. Ask Her For Money
Don’t get it wrong, you’re not going to become a beggar, this is just a trick. Beg her for money constantly. Askher to borrow you money andnever pay back. Most women can’t stand the thought of constantly giving a man money. If you beg her for money non-stop, she’ll have to be completely shameless not to leave you alone.
5. Tell Her You’re Gay
Desperate times call for desperate measures. If a girl is being especially annoying and won’t leave you alone afteryou’ve tried allthe above, then it’s time totell her you’re gay and as such you just can’t be interested in her. If however, she’s a town crier who will spread the news to Australia and back, please don’t try it.
6. Seek Divine Intervention
If after all this, she still persists, then it’s time to go to God in prayer. She might be a message from your village and in that case, it might take special deliverance to free you from such a girl.

Education › JAMB: Only 520,000 Of 1.7 Million Candidate Will Gain Admission – Says Minister by Lempeh(op): 11:10am On Apr 28, 2013
Only 520,000 of the 1.7 million that wrote the 2013 Unified Tertiary MatriculationExamination (UTME) can gain admission, the Minister of Education, Professor Ruqayyatu Rufa’I, disclosed yesterday.
Rufai expressed sadness over the fate of the remaining 1.2 million candidates whom she said cannot be accommodated, theNation reports.
The Minister spoke after monitoring conduct of the UTMEwithin schools in Abuja and Suleja, Niger State alongside the Registrar and Chief Executive of the Joint Admission and Matriculation (JAMB), Prof. Dibu Ojerinde.
She called for Private Pubic Partnership (PPP) to resolvethe crisis despite Federal Government’s effort in buildingmore universities.
The Minister also solicited for assistance of state governments in building more universities.
A total of 1, 629, 102 candidates applied for the Paper-Pencil Test (PPT) while 15, 008 candidates applied for the Dual Based Test (DBT).
91, 610 candidates applied for the Computer Based Test(CBT).
The Minister called for acceptance of CBT because Nigeria cannot afford to lag behind in development.
She said: “The education sector being part of the transformation agenda has to move forward. What we have just seen today is a simple transformation from Paper Pencil Test (PPT) to the dual examination.
“If other countries are moving or developing, there is no wayNigeria cannot alsomove forward.
“It doesn’t mean that if somestudents cannot sit for computer examination then all students in Nigeria cannotdo it.
She added: “There are somewho are good in that and othershould learn that way. We should be advanced like other countries.
“We have started with the dual examination where we have taken the Paper Pencil Test (PPT) and the ComputerTest.
She assured that results willbe out in the next 10 days.
On carrying capacity, she said:“Our major concern is that a country like Nigeria having over 1.7 million that have sat for today’s examination and those that will sit for that of May to gainentrance into the university and the space that we have is 520 thousand for University, Polytechnic and Colleges of Education.
“Assuming that we have 1.7 million that have sat for the examination and we have 520 thousand spaces, what are wegoing to do with the remaining 1.2 million candidates?
“We cannot expand our carrying capacity simply to accommodate the remaining students without the expansion of our facilities.
“Our facilities as of today are basically for the 520 thousand students and that we are calling for the improvement in access and we are calling for the Public Private Partnership (PPP).”
