I told you about GTCO, the emotional sellers were busy doing their thing. One of them even claimed that the market maker specializing in GTCO is the one pushing the price up recently. The kind of nonsense you read here sometimes is just amazing. lipsrsealed
Mr. Market himself. grin

Sell everything you have and buy GTCO. undecided

** Meanwhile, Ellah also closed on full bid..
GTB market makers have excess cash reserves.
Bids have been lower than offers for some weeks but the price keeps going up. grin

Even ACA, If they plug the proceeds back to FIDELITY or SEPLAT, Their gains won't be tax chargeable.
Is it possible to know when firms like ACA buys a stock?

This is the time to prove herself right.

I didn't know it was dividend that took the price to that level. We learn every day
Can you pay #100 for gtco based on the latest financial report 🤔
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by leo1234(m): 9:58pm On Sep 23, 2025
guyzgirl:
lol, there are two ways to achieve 15% na.
1) Pay higher dividend based on current price
2) Bring the price down to where 15% is achievable.

But on a more serious note, the dividend was disappointing but the result is understandable as we all knew the FX gains was a strong booster last year.
The price will come down.

Except the MM have enough cash to defend the price.
Dividend investors will choose stanbic or zenith over gtco.

Those who bought at 40-45 early last yr before this recapitalisation are already above 10%.

In2-3yrs time, those who buy at these prices ₦80-₦100 might start hovering around 10%-12% yield..

The classical riddle:
You need to have your cake🎂 before you eat it
doesn't hold for stocks.
Which is what you are asking for. grin

Ironically, the reverse holds true.

Eat your cake(Invest) 🎂 then you can have it
(15% dividend yield)
cheesy wink grin
He made the statement when gtco was selling close to #100.
Percentage dividend yield is calculated based on current price not what happened in the past. After all, some people bought gtco for less than #10.

Gt has been the biggest disappointment. with all the noise they made that they had no forbearance loan and they will pay dividend, this is the nonsense they want to pay
This is how they want to pay dividend of 15%. embarassed

I am beginning to dislike people that speak with too much confidence these days. grin

Imagine the way S. Agbaja was speaking with confidence about banks delivering 15% dividend yield. cheesy cheesy cheesy

Why not first remove the log of WOOD/OANDO in eyes before talking about Ellah lakes PLC a money spinner coy that have giving some of us over 200% profit and still counting ?

You are so much concern about other people affairs while your left yours unattended

Oando plc has a significant debt burden, with its total liabilities significantly exceeding its assets, resulting in negative equity and a high debt-to-equity ratio. In 2025, the company's total debt was reported as approximately ₦3.22 trillion,.

With this level of OANDO huge debt. you still see it as good buy for a company that have not paid dividend over the past 10ys but you don't see Ellah lakes as a good buy...

keep deceiving yourself angry
