No, that's not what the thread is about.

The thread is concerned with women taking up positions in male dominated environments. And indeed, a female governor is about to be produced for the first time ever in Nigeria. Coincidentally, this is coming from a region always being insulted by people from a particular village for not valuing women.

At this point, lemme quickly ask. I understand in that particular village known for this insult, females are not allowed to inherit father's or husband's properties. Is it that those places don't actually value females or what? When do you think that village will ever allow a woman to contest for the post of a state governor?
