Agbegbaorogboye: Where did you get that from? A matron I know earns above 300k a month minus allowances Well that's the peak. OK maybe I should have exempted a matron. But you know it's takes years to attain the level of a marron. And she can't just come and become a matron here. Moreover what will 300k even do for her. For someone that has lived abroad and could afford basically everything she needed |

Agbegbaorogboye: If she's really a registered nurse, getting a good paying job won't be difficult for her in Nigeria At least by Nigerian standards There's a dearth of top level professionals in Nigeria's health sector Top paying job you say? She can't get above 180k on a 6hrs shift in Nigerian hospitals . 180k is the highest she can get in the best of hospitals . What will 180kdo for her in that country? Except she gets a guy to leach on which isn't easy to do abraod |

You better save your tears for your own daughter and advise her not to join her father as a wailer on Nairaland. At least she should value her life. Life is wasted on daily basis in Nigeria. Security is zero How does she think she would get the peace of mind in a country like Nigeria |

I have not seen a useless, toothless organisation like EU. Led Ukraine to war they can't fund nor have what it takes to defend Europe.
Remove U.S, Remove China. The current European standing military can't win Russia in an all out war All you people think of is war. Always think of good things. |

Again with Madrid he has and stands the chance to win it all with the help of the best players in the world and I repeat that should be the target No black player can win it ahead of Mbape in madrid |

Would you mind share the tariff of some of the countries you so know about and compare with what usa posted? |

FreeStuffsNG: You are still lying. That nobody is subsidizing your desire for subsidized dollars doesn't make naira worthless. You are not knowledgeable about our economics and it's looking like a waste of time educating you.
This explains why you were outcompeted here in Nigeria and consoling yourself with lamentations when many are faring better than you in Nigeria. I knew there was something very outlandish in the manner you lied that imported goods are now 5×. You don't know what you are writing about.
Those who outcompeted you here are faring better than you and it's not too late for you to come back instead of consoling yourself with the falsehood that people are suffering here. First of I don't need to be an economist to know that Nigeria's economy is in shambles. I visit Nigetia often Cox of family ties It took me few months to achieve what I was struggling to get for years immediately I left. So everyone that left was outcompeted? Don't think like that .there are lots of reasons behind leaving Nigeria. If I tell u what I do you won't say that again. The best of us are leaving the country in droves. Thanks to bad governance. Cars that cost 3.4 to 4m before this regime now cost around 12 to 13m. That's more than tripled. Today you get quotations of over 90 t0 100m for building u could easily erect with less than 40m in 2020 People like you may not even be in Nigeria or planning to run at the slightest opportunity. |

FreeStuffsNG: Can you please stop lying or you are just ignorant. It was the free float of naira that initially made naira lose value against the USD but it's now stable. Imported goods adjusted along with the right pricing of naira against the USD as FG is no longer subsidizing the exchange rate. Which stable? Are you in Nigeria? I frequent Nigeria regularly. The cost of things is more than triple I agree if you say floating the naira lose value against the dollar but Naira is still worthless it's nothing stable |

Dogalmighty17: Trump generated his figures randomly. No country has tarriffs up to 50%. He even placed tarriffs on an island that is inhabited by no human being only sea gulls. In another case, he tarriffed the island of Diego Garcia. That island only contains a military base shared both by the US and Britain. It makes no sense! Vietnam has tarrif of 90%, Lesotho 99%, indonesia 64$. Most of Africa is higher than 50% Just go check the table |

Nigeria trade with US had been declining over the years and that's what helped us. We had shifted over to EU, India and China. President Buhari should actually be praised for this wise strategy. I don't understand help Nigeria how? When all imported goods in Nigeria has increased x5. Your economy became worse |

dominique: She's right, the money is enough to start a business without renting a shop. I don't know about other states but in Lagos, neighbourhood shops now go between 8-10k per month. Shops in busy areas, bus-stops and market places go for much higher and most landlords ask for 2 years rent upfront. The spending won't be on rent alone, she'll need to furnish the shop with chair, table, counters, shelves etc and make it look attractive to customers. She's only telling you the reality of things but you're here poverty shaming her. You strike me as the toxic abusive husband who will treat your wife like you're doing her a favour by marrying her. How I wish she can open her eyes and see how better she'll be far away from you. Do you know u can start a gas station in front of your house or in a simple shop without furnishing with 1m? Must it be a business u buy furniture? Have seen countless businesses started with 1m and they a blooming |

oscar52: Emergency can happen anytime even with best preparation. Maybe she became unconscious at home and he rushed her to the closest clinic. I pray you are never in these situation to see the horror of healthcare in Nigeria. I lost tree sisters to sickle cell and one died because of negligence and asking family members to be doing the work the clinics should be doing even when you have money to pay. The system needs reform. I even support banning for profit primary healthcare facilities. That way the heartless and greedy ones will leave the professional. Medicines is a noble profession, not for rif rafs and chalatans. If the clinic had treated her and did a go fund me, they will recoup 100X what she owned. That $350, even me as a stranger would have paid it on her behalf. Not everyone places money over human life thankfully. Lol go fundme . 10k they wouldn't have seen . You only saying this because this woman died. If she had survived they could have even fought the hospital coz of bill. It's sad the woman died.
