Foreign Affairs / Re: Spain, Ireland Discuss Recognizing Palestinian State Amid Rafah Evacuation Order by LeopardX: 12:42pm On May 06
Krismas:
grin BREAKING| Israeli Yedioth Ahronoth: The soldiers killed in the operation against Israeli forces in the Karm Abu Salam military site were guarding vehicles and tanks preparing to invade Rafah.

The Israeli army has acknowledged that 3 Israeli soldiers were killed and 12 others from the Givati and Nahal brigades were injured in the resistance operation.
If this report is true, it is not the win you think it is.
You have only confirmed that there are Hamas militants in Rafah. It's like a go ahead for Israel to start the operation there ASAP.

Crime / Re: Lagos Police Identify Officer Who Shot Man Dead During Fuel Queue Tumult by LeopardX: 8:15am On May 03
UselessBuharist:

Yes you cannot be more correct. In a country where uniform men are given priority, citizen would ordinarily give way for a uniform man to jump the queue that’s because they respect the citizens right and the citizens recognises their sacrifices and respect them.

Our uniform men have overtime abuse the citizen's right and overstep their boundaries hence the reason we don’t see them as anything special
Exactly. If you watch that 1994 clip of that woman accusing the military of abusing their privileges, jumping queues and selling the petrol right in front of the fuel station, you'll know Nigerians don't have any trust left for any uniformed officer.

RIP to that young man, Toheeb Eniafe.

Crime / Re: Police Parade Suspected Masterminds Of Kaduna Train Attack, Retrieve 48 Ak-47s by LeopardX: 7:41am On May 03
schoolboymatt:
and all these suspect surrendered without putting up a fight

I want to believe the Nigerian police.
But at least you have observed that banditry and kidnapping has reduced drastically in Kaduna.

It shows the criminals and their weapons are being mopped up.

It's what happens afterwards that is my main concern.

I just hope they won't be 'deradicalized and rehabilitated' and released to the society eventually.

This is good news.

As for the bandits fighting back, it happens mostly with the soldiers in the bush.
The bandits disguise as civilians normally and that is where police intelligence come into play. In such instance, the criminals are not prepared for any combat.

Modified: @schoolboymatt just read the article and observe the events which led to most of their arrests. Majority of them were in civilian mode and in civilian environments when they were caught.

Since you know that Only God gives power, why are you desperate? Since I was born you have been consistently contesting for President
Yes he was consistent. But I don't think he was desperate.
At least he wasn't issuing threats upandan like Buhari about dogs and baboons being soaked in blood if he doesn't win.

Atiku loses elections and quietly relocates to Dubai without disturbing anybody or heating up the polity.

Politics / Re: Are You Willing To Pay N178,000 Monthly For A 24-hour Electricity Supply? by LeopardX: 10:07pm On Apr 03
hazureal:
From what I heard, the increment is only applicable to those on Band A.

Band A customers are those customers who receive power for a minimum of 20hrs per day.

Band A: 20 to 24 Hours supply

Band B: 16 to 20 Hours supply

Band C: 12 to 16 Hours supply

Band D: 8 to 12 Hours supply

Band E: 4 to 8 Hours supply

(not that I'm in support of the increment though, this is just to shed more light on the issue)
You and I both know deep down that this tarrif will reach everybody las las.

mrvitalis:

I have always said it here, Nigerians that can afford 24 hours electricity already have it

There is no one that wants electricity 24/7 that can't get them

Nigerians want the impossible which is free/cheap and steady electricity... Electricity is luxury and we are too poor for it right now

We don't need electricity for development

There is absolutely no company you can start only when you have electricity 24/7 that u can't start now
But electricity is cheap, dirt cheap actually, in China. How do they do it??

Legal Title = Certificate Of Occupancy
Just make the process simple.
There is common say in youruba that : Ti Oluwa Lo Nile. So, why making the process of getting Certificate of occupancy harder than getting Visa
So that they can grab it when they want to build their next real estate, hotel or shopping mall lol.

You know our politicians no get business sense at all. lol.
