Well I don't see any new refinery coming on board anytime soon except those already in the works (almost completed) like the port harcourt refinery. If Dangote is scared of the competition, then it's his problem.

However, I sense that's not what his fight is all about. I believe there are some forces that are trying to frustrate the smooth running of his refinery because it will affect their businesses one way or another. These said forces are both local and foreign.

As long as Nigerians win, no problem.

Dangote only have about $3.3bn of his money in his refinery valued at $19bn, at least.

So he is not fighting the cabals alone. Hence his confidence.

Some powerful investors are also behind him, Otedola inclusive.

Some of them are cabals in their own right.

That refinery CANNOT fail.

While I didn't read the article before posting this comment, my view is that you don't expect FG to halt its crude supply commitment to other nations just because of dangote's refinery especially as they are struggling to increase oil production.

Dangote is also right to source for crude oil elsewhere.

Unfortunately, they can't. NNPC and other equally powerful persons have a stake in it.

Dangote's money there is just about $4bn (out of $20bn). So how many principalities will government fight?
