DrLevi: Makes no sense what you're saying. I understand your skepticism but I hate that you think Nigerians are less than capable or even worse ALL CRIMINALS. That's an insult to every hardworking Nigerian out there.
If you want to know if they are legit: 1. They are YC backed and raised and pre-seed fund in Nov 2021 2. I've not had any issues with them for over 3 months now I'v used their service, with over $500 received
Although, I do not advise storing money there or moving extremely large funds through the platform. Until proven to be faulty, I would trust that the solution they provide is better and has help solve the issues with payoneer and transfer wise
Funny, even whites can be scammers or have failed platforms.... So what makes you blindly trust the likes of TranferWise and Payoneer and not a homegrown alternative that works? I've used grey.co as well to send pounds to the UK and it was received within 2 hours. As far as I know, it works smoothly. They even explained their fees and charges clearly https://grey.co/blog/fees-and-charges-on-grey |

Is this better than grey.co ? Since I also get my own foreign bank account with Grey. |

An even better way is to create your own foreign GBP, USD or EUR accounts so you can receive money easily. Check out grey.co and not just create your foreign bank account and receive payment. But also convert to naira and withdraw to your naira account easily. |

afrylance1: I work for an international company and have suffered a lot to receive payment in Nigeria. Here’s 2 was to do so that I’m sure of:
Wise.com Good for platforms that require account numbers. 1. Get a FirstBank or UBA Dom account 2. Generate a US bank account as iLegendd coached at the beginning of this thread. 3. Withdraw straight to your dom account using the Swift option (charges per 1000 dollars is even less than $5). 4. Receive your money and get the best rate using aboki.
Barter by Flutterwave Good for receiving payment from people. This is what I currently use. 1. Sign up and get a payment link. 2. Share link with the payer, it’s easy to use and straightforward. 3. Money appears in your Barter wallet. 4. Transfer to your Dom account or exchange on Barter (note that the rate is N410 so using Dom is better) 5. Receive your money and get the best rate using aboki.
I prefer Barter cos they are more understanding and responsive that those foreign companies. I’ve come to find that most companies like Payoneer, PayPal, etc don’t care about you if you’re not in the United States.
Currently have more that $1k seized by Payoneer and $2.5 held by PayPal even after the sender called them to verify the transfers.
BTW: Barter is free to receive funds into your wallet and charges a flat $3 fee per withdrawal to Dom account. So whether you’re withdrawing $50 or $2000 you’ll be charged $3. Minimum withdrawal is $50.
Finally, from personal experience, withdrawing dollars is soooo easy so far it is below $10,000. That’s where CBN places a limit. I have never been denied dollars when I try to withdraw and often finish before people trying to withdraw Naira sef. .... Yeah, but for the first option, aboki.africa makes it simpler. No need for a dorm account with a Nigerian bank. Just create a USD, GBP or EUR account on Aboki Africa and use it to receive your payment directly. Then convert to naira and withdraw directly to your bank account. |

This is nice. With aboki.africa announcing their pre-seed raise, that will even help them get bigger. I love what they doing already! |

For me, using Bitcoin is the best way to send money from anywhere in the world to Nigeria. All you both need is a wallet to receive it and the receiving party can convert to naira or any local currency easily. It saves you time and removes unnecessary transaction fees. There are several crypto exchanges that allow you to sell crypto for naira within seconds but I use Yellow Card https://www.yellowcard.io/nigeria/. You can check it out. |

I've actually found Yellow Card https://www.yellowcard.io/nigeria/ the easiest and fastest place to buy Bitcoin. The rates are so good. Check them out. This is f you are interested in buying or selling. They do not offer any form of investment. |
