The story of Ilorin has been shared by many on this thread with little variation and there is no part of the story that claim Ilorin is mostly Fulanis. That the Fulanis in Ilorin have mixed so well with the lots of Yorubas in Ilorin and the fact that they have an Emir has not turned majority of them to Fulanis.

In the event of disintegration, let the people of each locality decide where they want to belong. If Ilorin town goes north, the rest of Kwara need not follow same route except majority of them so wish.

According to my sources in South Africa, Beverly Osu’s man in the BBA house, South African dancer Angelo Collins is kinda back with his South African girlfriend, Candice Arends. And the Yoruba's in Kogi's would stay in their ancestral lands, however, they will be part of any Yoruba country that suffice. There are boundaries everywhere and that should be easy to demarcate. Simple. The Ilorin's can get their Fulani ar.ses over to the North - Yoruba's don't need them.

Anyway, I don't think any sensible Yoruba person with knowledge of Yoruba history would want Ilorin as part of a Yoruba country, if Nigeria disintegrates. Ilorin is of no strategic and economic use to the Yoruba's - and their loyalty lies elsewhere.

The Okun and Kabba Yoruba's are a better alternative. And our new frontier is towards the Itsekiri's.

In a referendum, they will decide where they want to belong and in the worst case scenario, some parts may go to the emirates while the Yoruba parts become part of a Yoruba country as majority! Today if any Western European country or the North Americas had the opportunity for another country to merge with them, the other country will surely take the opportunity? Why? The opportunities ALONE is enough reason for some of you people to queue up at the embassies in Nigeria to get a visiting visa to America! Now imagine a US/UK opportunity in the greater Yoruba State!? Well the people will decide anyway so save your breath!

One unfortunate stereotype many Easterner have about Emirs is they have great feudal power. Yes they are influential but they are not rulers and if they step on toes they are often punished or even REMOVED by Governors or Abuja.
They are as influential as religious leaders in the South eg Adeboye or Oyakhilome and so politicians try to keep them on side but the are not in carge
