Some men are just wierd. He could be bisexual that enjoys a fellow man's company better than the woman's. He may not find the wife attractive again and prolly lost hope due to long time search for a baby. Divorce isn't the first issue here, after you try to seduce him and he doesn't fall still then you can visit marriage counsellors or psychologist to have a heart discussion with him. He may be hiding something from you. |
Why is it not possible? You re not related by blood, you are ony inlaws. |

9jacrip: Your argument thus far has been about the Yoruba toppling the Emirate system to establish an Obaship system which in reality is not possible aside not making any sense, it doesn't change the fact that if/when disintegration holds, Yoruba towns in Kwara pocket and Ilorin would look west-ward as 'home'.Well sorry you didn't get my arguement. ![]() |
9jacrip: @ the bolded: Right to air reasonable and condign opinions drawn from historical facts NOT some rabble rousing conjectures. You can't have a more resonable contributions if you base it on mere history. Wahtever I write here is first hand info you can get from an ilorin indigene and from those that read history. No one would know about ilorin emirate as much as an emirate indigene would know it. I read it in history and I know what is hppening there are two different things. ![]() |
greatdonmikel: WHO IS THIS?You opened a thread and declared it opened for discussion. Meaning there's right to air an opinion right? ![]() |
macof: Thank you. Please whose cause are you on? Which of the families in ilorin town would support an oba as a ruler? The only ones that tried it earlier failed. Every household in ilorin has a trace to the fulani even though they do not speak it. Unless the descendants of afonja rise and rewrite history which is not possible again,an oba can never rule in ilorin emirate it will always be emir. |
Waiting to hit front page right? ![]() |
RedBenson: I think u are one of d 3 Runz girls that rocked my bed lastnit @ a subsidized rate of 2k per person. It was funful cruising on those lovely pusssy of urs. Na joke o!I saw you in court facing life sentence for robbery and kidnap,I was like whaaat? ![]() Na still joke o. |
By origin,by history nd by descendant, the emir or ilorin isn't yoruba and has no yoruba trace. The empire is only yoruba socially since all parts of ilorin speak yoruba as a language but nothing in their culture relates to yoruba. Until the “idi apes” begin to rule, then ilorin still belongs to the fulanis. |
njokusboy: Truth, if she can't come to my place nd we re not planning to get married, I'd call it quits cos I go dey suffer myself for nothing.. I lyk touching body wella..I m not talking of dating period,I mean when you are married. Will you start cheating on your wife because you do not live in the same town again? |
njokusboy: Apart from trust sef.. I am dating someone nd I can only see d person lyk once in a week or month.. Na date be dat one?? I go dey relationship still dey live lyk single man.. I myt be tempted to touch nd she myt be touched.. Lolzz.. If dat happens, u can't blame either of us, can u??What if you live in thesame place with your partner but something eg job takes you away from your base? |
Yes, still unmarried. Sad ish! Finance can be dicey sha especially when the woman is financially independent. Sometimes, the man might feel threatened and/or the woman will become proud. I no understand your last sentence ni.
I mean age might just be a number but it tells a lot in a relationship, personally I don't like too much age difference. Some ladies don't mind though. |
The Ilorin Emirate is a traditional state based on the city of Ilorin in Kwara State, Nigeria. It is considered to be one of the Banza Bakwai, or copy-cats of the Hausa Kingdoms. At the start of the 19th century Ilorin was a border town in the northeast of the Oyo Empire, with a mainly Yoruba population but with many Hausa-Fulani immigrants or slaves. It was the headquarters of an Oyo General, Afonja, who rebelled against the empire and helped bring about its collapse with the assistance of the Fulani. The rebellion was powered by Hausa, Nupe and Bornu Moslem slaves. Afonja had been assisted by Salih Janta, also called Shehu Alimi, a leader of the local Fulani. In 1824 Afonja was assassinated and Alimi's son Abdusalami became Emir. Ilorin became an emirate of the Sokoto Caliphate. For some time Ilorin was a major center of the slave trade. In the past slaves had mainly been sent north across the Sahara, but now they were being sent south via the Yoruba lands to the coast to supply demand from the USA, the West Indies and Brazil. Slaves were taken from the Igbo lands to the east and from conquered Yoruba towns, as well as from areas further to the north, and were traded for cloth and other goods. Ilorin continued to expand southward until it was checked in the 1830s by the growing power of Ibadan, an Oyo successor state. The Ilorin cavalry were ineffective in the jungle to the south, and by the 1850s Ibadan had access to guns from European traders on the coast. |
True sha. Anyway, I want to do the opposite because there's someone close to me who was robbed of her true love (someone she wanted to marry) because of this tradition; this is almost 20 years after that and she's still unmarried. Parents and all the relatives from Adam can cause major problems.Distance/finance? Yep. Age? Africa and Nigeria has a problem with it, too. I don't sha.
Eeya still unmarried? I can imagine how the parents will feel now.Yes distance is not a prob. Finance can be managed if there is understanding. Age is just a number but it tells alot. |
Lol,someone needs his drugs on this thread. When intellects argue and put something good down, the dull ones try to troll and make no sense. ![]() |
xynerise:Moyes should get the Bleep off already,he's just too small for Man United. ![]() |
True but I don't think this is a big barrier. Na dem go marry your partner?
You know in africa or nigeria specifically, parents have much stake in deciding whom their child get married to. In this process ,they long matters a lot and the couples may end up getting frustrted. To me every other thing is minimal. Distance finance or age difference. |
sholay2011: I was kinda surprised too that it's already on DVD. Tony Abulu fall my hand sha.The power of piracy. I remember watching salt on dvd even when the advert ws still on at the cinema, funny enough. I saw it in aa village then. |
carujmonella: True that but distance and age are both factors we should consider, no?Well age can be a barrier cos personally I don't like much older partner. As for distance,it shouldn't be a problem if there is maximum trust. Parental stance is all I see as a barrier in a relationship even. Once the parent do not consent to that relationship, somehow there's a problem. |
RedBenson: Why am i having this feelings that you might be one of the girls 'in quote'.The feeling is mutual,I thought I saw you among the boys paraded with gun for robbery on the tv last night. Na still joke ooooo, let's keep the joke coming. ![]() |
