Hmmmm, for those that have little children, the only way is to escape to another country. ![]() For those who have been fanning the embers of war and secession, I beg you please stop. Abeg, biko. If it happens, there would be so many splinter groups and uncountable interests that war would be inevitable. These might lead to genocide, with small small groups trying to control LGAs or States; Libya and South Sudan is a prime example. I pray we don' t get to that stage. It is crystal clear Nigeria needs help in this area, owing to the fact that it was publicized globally that Nigeria begged the US to move it's Africa Mission base from Germany down to the theater of war. I keep saying it; employ 3 million youths into the Armed Forces. Our Security forces are over stretched. |

Hmmm, good you didn't deny, but the speed with which the Presidency responded to Mbaka's message sounds to me that the message resonated loud and clear at the Villa. The message has been passed across. That's the win in this situation. Whether Mbaka brought contractors or not is not our business. |

RuudVanNisteroy:The only man with foresight. Others on thebthread are blaming Buhari; smh |
I watched the other tread with dismay and intrigue as fellow Nairalanders were asking what is the concern of CBN with FBN and that wetin concern CBN with the appointment of an MD of one of the oldest but shaking Banks in Nigeria. Well it is not far fetched. FBN has been shaking financially for a while, which prompted CBN to support them. This their recent shaky system can not be too far from when the FBN Holding Chairman and a very large shareholder divested huge sums of money into 2 of his interest companies. I think these ventures didn't turn profitable, so FBN bore the brunt. https://secretsreporter.com/empire-debt-oba-otudekos-honeywell-company-owes-first-bank-n70-billion-using-position-board-chairman/ This caught the eye of CBN and so they waded in; because if they allow CBN to go the way of bankruptcy, CIBN cannot help depositors and the shock will be too unbearable for the Nigerian Economy. So they've been patching and patching the Bank through financial support. Well this intervention gave CBN a say and they made reference to it in the last query within 24 hrs "Re: Audited FIRS Accounts for the Financial Year Ended December 31, 2020,” revealed that the bank was yet to divest its interest in HoneyWell Flour Mills, Barti Airtel and other non-permissible interest." So this new action is not out of order. CBN now calls the shot in the Bank and so depositors funds is safe, but a bad investment has been done and CBN would find a way out of this mess. I think First Bank wins. https://techcabal.com/2021/04/29/cbn-first-bank-otudeko/ |
Who is "Who is Who" again? Oh its AlexReports on the beat ![]() |
Both of you are birds of the same feather. The thing about Nigerian politics is this; and it's their mantra, when not in Government align with the people; but when you get back in, ignore the people. Also the sycophancy in government circles stink to the highest heavens; if you look closely; that message on the picture is a congratulatory message to Bello; he might not even endorse it; but those that claim to love him and tell him that what Sowore cannot achieve he would achieve it as been the youthful president Nigeria is looking for; are those likely behind the message. Now that FFK is on Bello's side, will he call Dino to order; time will tell. ![]() |
True, I just dey pity Mourinho. His game tactics doesn't seem to work anymore. Indeed there's a time for everything in this life, after being one of the hottest managers in the game then. Nothing remain again after coaching the best in Spain, England and Italy. Na to become Portugal coach remain. |
Oh God help Nigeria |

Person wey hook OmoT from 17 years when she was not a celebrity; Abegi, I must admit they have a commendable union. |
The cleric has often called on the federal government to grant amnesty to bandits attacking residents across northern parts of the country. So this thing about insecurity an banditry in the North is about amnesty; wao |
bcomputer101:They won't, they have the numbers, I might be wrong all the numbers of the banks involved combined does not reach the subscriber base of MTN. If the Government want to achive Banking inclusion, its only through the Telcos they can achieve it. |
elody:The Banks are cashing out massively already Sir, besides the USSD Framework runs on the Telcos Infrastructure. |
A very very wealthy and powerful expatriate company, I think I support MTN on this one. The banks are too greedy, after the massive returns they're making after investing the massive cash base in they custody, they charge so many exorbitant charges on the same customers, really not fair. The source could not, however, give an update on the discussion the minister started with the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Nigerian Communication Commission to broker peace between the banks and MTN.Nonsense, what is there to broker; Minister of digital economy that is meant to be happy for Fintech companies, abi is he not meant to do anything to help the Fintech companies grow. ![]() |
Hmmm, see how gentle looking they're looking but carry a poison more potent than cyanide itself. |
If it's too long for you to read, see summary and major talking points below. This is the main issue The controversial debt arose from various court judgments ordering that some “contractors” and “consultants” be paid for certain services and projects executed for the various states and the 774 local governments. There are 2 ALGON chairmen involved in the lifetime of this case. This is ALGON first chairman position to Malami His letter to Mr Malami reads in part, “ALGON via an award letter dated December 17, 2013, awarded a contract to RIOK Nigeria Limited for the provision of boreholes and other water reticulating apparatus in all the 774 Local Governments and Area Councils in Nigeria. This is the second chairman on this case and message to Malami Restating the previous position of the association, Mr Alabi said “Dr Edwards/Edwards and Partners Law Firm were never at any time engaged by ALGON EXCO to recover on its behalf or on behalf of the local governments, funds related to the Paris /London Club Debt Refunds.”Conclusion is that Nigeria is corrupt and is looking irredeemable by the day. |
Good foresight thinking. Please how can one start a battery charging company? In the next 15 years Electric cars will be a thing. It is certain. Any Startup thinking in the area of solar and battery powered cars won't go hungry in the near future. |
And PDP has been shouting and complaining like a wounded child about underground rigging happening already; instead of them to go and vote... ![]() |
Anything just to trend. This generation, I wonder what that woman passing would be thinking. ![]() |
