Baxilexi: It’s sad to see the opposition play to the gallery, perhaps Sowore was right saying the opposition is funded by the center indirectly to keep the agitating citizens in abeyance.
All of you were/are caucus members with friends across party lines, you know all the secrets used to manipulate elections yet you bring your findings to the public to get sympathy. Does Nigeria work for the common man? No. So why don’t you use your resources to undermine their antics instead of soliciting public sympathy.
2027 will be filled with thuggery, oppression, violence, voters intimidation, vote buying, results alterations, absent voting materials etc. The people want out of this government, but if you guys are not gonna turn up the heat and match fire with fire then quit wasting people’s time. what is the gallery that is being played to by ADc in this instance? |

Dennisochampa: Some people will begin to cry about this now... Before, u go grow white hair before you get passport wen u apply for... But these days, before u open eyes close am.... Your passport don come out... These things coat money and u have to pay for it....
But a typical Nigerian want everything for free.... They want to enjoy the good things of life but don't want to pay for it.... Absolutely terrible mentality.... tinubu, shettima, members of the national assembly, ministers, governors, heads of the security agencies and many others and their families all enjoy free passports, free feeding, free school fees for their kids, free housing and accommodation, free transportation, free secuirty, free electricity, free health care, free phone calls, free internet, free fuel, free water. are these the "typical nigerians" you are referring to? if the people you are defending are enjoying freebies, what is wrong if other nigerians want to enjoy freebies? if enjoying freebies is a bad thing, why are the people you are defending not rejecting the freebies and insisting on paying for them? |

Softmirror: To me the money is even very low when you judge by the usefulness and importance of the Passport as well as compare the price of travel tickets, both plane and ship. Our passport is still relatively very cheap.
People have been paying a lot more than this through bribery to get Nigerian passports in recent past. What is the usefulness and importance of the passport compared to the price of ticket? People who have bribing to get passport, who have they been paying the money to? Will this increase stop this bribery? |

Fine all of us want better Nigeria that was damaged long ago but not by condemning everything you are well acquitted with.
When vip politicians are around like her husband are around for events, not only Lagos state governor will be in the convoy, neighboring states governors too will be in the convoy, so also other politicians too will be there with their convoys.

Softmirror: The rails are being vandalized every time. That's the reason why. The government is doing their best. if the tracks are being vandalized all the time, why does this incident not happen all the time? do you have anything to prove that this incident was caused by vandals? meanwhile, in all said below, which of them is government doing? Immatex: Very obvious that poor state of track infrastructure was the cause of this avoidable accident.
The running rails has very little ballast to hold the sleepers.
The Cess is heavily eroded and there are no embankments to protect the tracks from landslides and earth movements.
Train was also not travelling at the appropriate speed for the track conditions.
Total absence of signalling on this tracks.
Gosh, I work as a competent train conductor in England and what I see here is abhorrent and repulsive. We build in Nigeria for an opportunity to loot not for the love of country or citizens otherwise why do we always refuse to factor in safety in our building and operational activities? |
