Food › Re: What Is The Cost Of A Crate Of Egg In Your Area by lexy2014: 11:30am On Aug 22, 2025 |
Nnamdipapa: Ok, today I was out to do an oil change and decided to branch by my favorite Afghani store where I usually buy provisions when in the vicinity. Now, I came across an organic crate of egg for $16.99, 30 medium sized eggs in a crate. Now, I remembered I spoke with a friend in Lagos last week who priced a similar crate of egg at 6000Naira, Yes ! you heard me right! 6000Naira! Folks in Nigeria do not know how good they have it Living in Nigeria so next time you complain about Nigeria, remember a fresh organic crate of egg goes for N6000 and things are way cheaper in Nigeria compared to the western countries.
So, there is something that should make one happy living in Nigeria I am waiting on pins and needles for the minimum wage crew. if you say living in nigeria is so good and "things are way cheaper in Nigeria compared to the western countries", what are you doing in a western country? why have u not relocated back to Nigeria ASAP? |
Politics › Re: Nigeria’s FX Reserves Rise To $41Billion, Highest Since 2021 by lexy2014: 10:13am On Aug 22, 2025 |
emkz: The separation from leaders and dealers is in their thinking faculties.
If I have money, and I can approach an entity that would give me a loan at low interest to execute a project that can pay off the loan, what would I do? Spend my own money I can use as insurance for future unforseen events or take the loan where I can always have a moratorium or negotiate terms of settlement that both the creditor and myself can benefit from?
A dealer will use up his savings because of immediate gains and populism, while a leader will take the loan. Did Dangote spend his personal funds to build a refinery? From your thinking, he could have liquidated his worth to build a refinery.
That would be the thinking of a trader.
Holding reserves and assets is for future unforseen circumstances. For example, during financial meltdown in 2008, Nigeria was partly insulated because we had strong buffers. One of the reasons, apart from oil inflows, was robust financial reserves, and CBN pumping money into the economy. Because they had the money to do so.
Are you aware that there were forward sales of crude oil by the Buhari administration? Tinubu cannot complain because it was an APC administration. The forward sales mean future oil production had been mortgaged. I think Tinubu has handled the economy responsibly given the challenges.
You can dislike him, but do not detest his efforts towards ensuring the country is a better place for all of us and our children.
The alternative to Tinubu have backtracked and have not come up with the strategy to deal with the challenges.
They do not have. how has tinubu demonstrated his leadership and used "his efforts towards ensuring the country is a better place" in successfully tackling corruption, nepotism, cronyism, hunger, unemployment, hardship, poverty, inflation, wasteful government spending, budget padding, insecurity, bad governance, failing public infrastructure, poor medial services and falling standard of education? |

Obi should have focused on how to have people who will stand as party agents for him during elections. He had empty representations across the country who could have stood as witnesses and could have defended his votes as party agents during elections. is it obi that exposed the issue of empty booth? how come you have left the person who exposed the empty booth and made obi the focus? |

This new NNPC GMD will get him to spend billions of dollars on their turnaround maintenance, pocket most of the money and yet the refineries won't work. We have seen this episode several times. which Mr. Bola tinubu are you referring to? |
