Travel › Re: Nigeria Ranks 7th Among World’s Friendliest Countries To Strangers [full List] by lexy2014: 11:26am On Jun 23, 2025 |
Lionessza6: One thing I have come to notice over time is that the "most welcoming countries " are usually countries that people aren't interested in living in or visiting much hence the people there even prefer strangers over their own kind. Or countries mostly dependent on tourism.
The most selective :" wicked" "racist" " xenophobic " countries are usually the most sort after by visitors and migrants.
Even in dating .....the more beautiful and well-off a woman is ,the more she becomes selective; " wicked" " unpleasant " to the suitors coming her way in every breathing moment ( both nice and rude). The less attractive a woman is ,the more friendlier she is to the few males that give her some attention ( both nice and rude) .
Something to think about . what is usually the fate of "the more beautiful and well-off woman who becomes selective; "wicked" "unpleasant" to the suitors coming her way" |

TimeManager: It's so funny how vultures and hyenas are coming all out to concoct all kinds of lies and propaganda just for the aim of grabbing power. Does Sule Lamido expect President Tinubu to announce his name among the heros of Democracy and confer on him an award following his ignoble role during June 12 annulment?. That would amount to pissing on the graves of the heros of Democracy. Does Lamido think history can be revised or rewritten?, unfortunately, he will have to live and die with the memories of his actions dinning with the devil.
It is funny how opposition are saying all sorts thinking that's the only way to curry public sympathy for votes. It's funny hearing Obi say Nigeria economy is crumbling yet Fidelity Bank which he owns 10% equity is declaring humongous amount of billions, Obi as we speak is one of the largest single importer of consumer goods in Nigeria yet he claims the economy is crumbling. In another instances, he claimed democracy is dead yet he criticizes everything and goes scot free, the kind of statements he can never utter in Niger Republic or Burkina Faso and get away with it.
Ameachi says he is hungry after 24 years in the corridor of power but he is presently collecting retirement benefits as an ex speaker and former Governor, even being a former minister, he still enjoys certain privileges than an average Nigerian.
However, one surest thing is the FACT that all the gang ups, coalition and frivolities cannot stop Asiwaju as the annoited man. He has been there before, seen it, done it. All these are nothing but child's play. There's a popular saying that Tinubu no be GEJ, let that sink in.

Where are the mentees of Atiku or Obi? Can't think of any for Atiku. With Obi only James Nwafor, Awkuzu SARs butcher, comes to mind.

Christianity Etc › Re: Here Is What Happens When You Have Sex With Prostitutes by lexy2014: 10:26am On Jun 22, 2025 |
LeopardX: I'm not saying sleeping with prostitutes is good, but Jesus had encounters with prostitutes (Mary Magdalene, The Samaritan Woman), an adulteress ( John 8:1), and even the historically hated tax collectors (e.g. Zacheous) and he changed their lives and forgave them without judging them.
Most Christians today are actually in the ministry of condemnation, wheras Christ has given us the ministry of reconciliation. It's why in their so called evangelism, they target people who already have christian persuasions and try to convince them to join their church.
They are afraid of confronting actual sinners because they know it will lead to fight because they cannot approach with LOVE but rather judgement and hate in their hearts. where was it written in the Bible that Mary Magdalene and The Samaritan Woman were prostitutes? |

Politics › Re: It Would Have Been Better If Tinubu Didn’t Visit Benue – Farotimi (video) by lexy2014: 10:12pm On Jun 21, 2025 |
creativejagaban: I will mention 24:
🎓 Student Loans & Education
1. Student Loan Scheme / Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND):
Tinubu signed the Student Loans (Access to Higher Education) Act in April 2024, creating NELFUND.
Over ₦95 billion has been approved, benefiting hundreds of thousands of students.
2. Construction of Student Hostels:
Building 1,600-bed hostels across 24 tertiary institutions to improve campus accommodation.
🛢 Fuel Subsidy & Energy Sector Reforms
3. Removal of Fuel Subsidy:
Abolished fuel subsidies on May 29, 2023, saving about $10 billion/year, allowing subsidies to be redirected toward infrastructure, education, and health.
4. Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Initiative:
Launched a national CNG program for transportation, including distributing conversion kits to reduce fuel costs.
💱 Currency, Exchange & Tax Reforms
5. Unification of Multiple FX Rates:
Floated the naira and merged parallel exchange windows to boost transparency and attract investment.
6. Tax Reforms:
Set up a Fiscal Policy & Tax Reforms Committee aiming to raise tax-to-GDP to ~18% by reducing redundant taxes and digitizing revenue collection.
🗺 Infrastructure & Construction
7. Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway:
A 700 km coastal superhighway inaugurated May 2024 to boost regional connectivity.
8. Sokoto–Badagry Expressway & Other Roads:
Engineering designs and construction on major expressways and highways nationwide.
9. Second Niger Bridge & Port Harcourt–Aba Rail Line:
Fast-tracked completion of the Second Niger Bridge and the rail link between Port Harcourt and Aba. 1. you claim that “Over ₦95 billion has been approved, benefiting hundreds of thousands of students”.Does approval automatically mean that the funds have been judiciously disbursed? Hundreds of thousands of students is not a figure. Can you give me an exact figure? How will this loan be paid back by the “beneficiaries”? How has this loan improved the standard of tertiary education in nigeria? 2. Building 1,600-bed hostels across 24 tertiary institutions to improve campus accommodation. Is it 1,600 bed hostel for each of the selected 24 institutions? If its not, you will have to divide 1600 by 24 which is 66. That means each of the 24 institutions will get a 66 bed hostel. How does that remedy the accommodation problem in tertiary institutions? If existing tertiary institutions cannot be properly funded, why is tinubu giving approval for new federal universities like a cockroach hatching multiple eggs? 3. Abolished fuel subsidies on May 29, 2023, saving about $10 billion/year, allowing subsidies to be redirected toward infrastructure, education, and health.what positive impact has the abolished fuel subsidies had on the living standard of Nigerians? Has life for Nigerians become better for Nigerians or worse? How did you arrive at your $10b a year? If that is what was saved from removal of fuel subsidies, why then has tinubu been borrowing? Which infrastructure, health and education has been funded with this $10b? 4. Launched a national CNG program for transportation, including distributing conversion kits to reduce fuel costs.
just a simple question. Does any of tinubus vehicles use CNG? 5. Set up a Fiscal Policy & Tax Reforms Committee aiming to raise tax-to-GDP to ~18% by reducing redundant taxes and digitizing revenue collection.how is setting up a committee an achievement? 6. A 700 km coastal superhighway inaugurated May 2024 to boost regional connectivity.
Which regional connectivity is the lagos calabar highway connecting? Are there no existing roads within that axis? Did the roads not achieve this “regional connectivity”? What is the state of the roads at the moment? Are in good motorable shape? Please look at this breakdown: Lagos-Calabar Highway Costs 7 times more per km than Pan-African Cairo-Cape town route.
1. Nigeria’s Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, a 700 km highway. Budget: $11–13 billion 2. Cairo-Cape Town Highway, a 10,228 km Cairo-Cape Town Highway Budget: $1.65 billion. How does this make sense? 7. Sokoto–Badagry Expressway & Other Roads:what is the percentage of work that has been accomplished in the Sokoto–Badagry Expressway? What are the “other roads”? 8. Second Niger Bridge & Port Harcourt–Aba Rail Line:You claimed that tinubu “Fast-tracked completion of the Second Niger Bridge”. At what time before tinubu came to office that the bridge was not completion? What and what was left that tinubu fast tracked and completed? How did he “fast-track” PH-Aba rail line? What was the initial completion date for the line? Had the government fallen behind schedule? If it had, by how many days, weeks or months? 9. Floated the naira and merged parallel exchange windows to boost transparency and attract investment.
What positive impact has floating of the naira had on the living standard of Nigerians? Has life become better as a result of floating the naira or life has become worse? How has floating of the naira boosted transparency? Transparency in what exactly? Can you name the investments that floating of the naira has attracted? |
