otiigba1: Absolutely! Me think is either he made the story up or he is just ignorant.
I mean, even if the so called in law meant it, does that mean he can't change his views? Besides what the in law thinks about lagos has nothing to do with him marrying the so made up beautiful girl. Finally, i definitely believe this absurd story is all in his imagination. these guys are simply annoying.... Imagine him trying to defame a whole tribe just to score cheap bigoted points. There's no gainsaying the story was fabricated. I only pity his imaginative onyinye who hails from Orlu in abia state |

alextayo: In as much as I wouldn't want to be involved in this tribal war, let me correct you on this particular statement with an experience I had in 2006. I was born and grew up in Aba before moving back to Lagos.
I was posted to Eleme Rivers State for my NYSC in 2006 and there I met Onyinye, a pretty Igbo lady from Orlu l.g.a Abia state.
We visited her Uncle during one of the holidays and he asked for my state of origin. He was SHOCKED when I told him that I am from Epe l.g.a, Lagos state. The next word he uttered was: I THOUGHT LAGOS IS NO MANS LAND, HOW COME YOU ARE FROM LAGOS.
I felt insulted and embarrassed that my would be in-law is calling my ancestral home a NO MANS LAND. That was the beginning of the end of the relationship. Oga, why am I finding it hard to believe this your story? You said you met a beautiful wife who hails from Orlu in Abia state. Coincidentally my maternal home happens to be Orlu and last time I checked, it wasn't in abia state... Imo state rather. Did your fiancee lie to you then or did you just cook up this story to paint the igbo ethnicity as disrespectful like you guys have been doing? Let's just assume your "father in-law to be" made such remark; should the remark of ONE man be used in hypothetical terms to state that a tribe with population of over 10m people see things the same way. What if I tell you your "father in-law to be" then was only trying to be funny? That's if your story is true. Read from the perspective of the outside world devoid of tribal sentiments and you will see what I mean. Good morning |

Bollinger: And every citizen is always saying i love my country, Nigeria. Nigeria is not a country, It is a collection of dysfunctional people living in close proximity to one another. Too many tribes, too many deep rooted hatred for one another and too much distrust. There is no way Nigeria will be prosperous. It is not just possible. A house divided amongst itself will fall, it is inevitable. Thank God i relinquished that burden of being called a Nigerian a long time ago. Sometimes i miss it, but each time i visit NL i am reminded of why i took that decision and i wake up to reality. I thank God for my life. how feasible is that bro? Would like to follow suit. |

omonnakoda: They are rejoicing because Eboes are disrespectful. When they come anywhere and do well they start insulting the hosts go and ask Ikwerres. They should learn to do business and keep their mouths shut and not offend local sensibilities. There are many families that have settled in Lagos from northern Nigeria and now accepted as natives a good example is the Oshodi family. Eboes on the other hand will always show themselves "Lagos is no man's land,Eboes developed Lagos,Eboes must rule................." Well the original hospitality shown to the Eboes will be withdrawn as they show their true colours. Back to the Ikwerre issue where Eboes lost a lot of property compared to Ibadan and Lagos after the war where their property was intact. There is nothing anyone can do to please Eboes they will never be grateful and their mindset is wherever they are they must dominate. In that regard I must confess Ahmadu Bello was right did an IGBO man say that in the outside world or are you tagging them as "disrespectful" just because of online ethnic brawls? |

charix: We celebrate the fact we dodged a situation whereby to get jobs you'd've to look almost as lightskinned as caucasians as well as have european features. We celebrate the fact that rather than get beat up for educating ourselves we are able to amass as much knowledge to put us on the same level as the whiteman. We celebrate the fact that rather than 80% of our resources whether crude oil, foodstuff, manpower and precious stones go to foreign colonialists, we are able to enjoy them for ourselves albeit facing the reality of corruption in the environment.
If the whiteman never left 55 years ago, the first and last name you bear now which denote your state of origin complete with family history would have gotten replaced with caucasian christian names. We are better off ruling ourselves because although development would've occurred faster under British rule the majority of the masses would have suffered immensely. Take the case of Zimbabwe for example where white farmers owned 70% of lands and exported foodstuff meant for the masses to their home countries. I love this old troll |

YOUR Pentiumpro is a renowned bigot always critical of anything igbo whether in support or against buhari and apc. So young man, you're the tribalist here because Pentiumpro's incessant and derogatory remarks needed redressing and YOU being in better position to do that would rather laugh and applaud her silly remarks.
