Politics / Re: Continuation Of End Bad Governance Protest May Commence Before October 1- Sowore by LibertyRep: 9:01pm On Sep 18
ch214:
October 1 end bad governance protest would be massive, it would likely be like a revolution in making.

This time around the Nigerians would silence tinubu and his corrupt government officials including the Nigeria police and it will no longer be the other way when tinubu government and police are silencing Nigerians.

Power to the Nigeria people!!

A government that has barely escaped from Hunger protest should ordinarily be seen to be doing everything to avert another looming protest.
But it appears this government is overtly insensitive and arrogant.

Politics / Re: Don’t Mislead Nigerians’ – Dangote Denies Selling Fuel To NNPCL At N898/litre by LibertyRep: 10:19pm On Sep 15
As long as NNPCL and DRL keep doing hide and seek with the price, you can't blame anyone for speculating.

Why is so much secrecy in stating the cost of the item. The suspense is not necessary any longer.

From the Press Release, the current price subsits till Oct 1st because the crude from where this petrol is refined is sourced in USD.

Either a jilted ex or she once refused his advances.

Whichever, he should be arrested and charged for aggravated assault and attempted murder

What are those men there waiting for? Don't they have any 2x2 around to rescue the girl from the 'god'?

Why won't import reduce when the naira - dollar rate is off the roof.

Na person wey chop beleful dey import this time.

I don't know if this is a sign that the economy is doing well, but I know it's a sign the purchasing power of the masses has been significantly eroded.

It could have been a routine check by the immigration on persons of interest.

But trust the media-hungry individuals to blow it out of proportion for whatever gain.

Tyranny shouldn't be allowed in our land, same way we shouldn't let some people see themselves as being above the law and scrutiny by relevant government agencies.

Of NNPC is selling the imported PMS at #855, how could it also sell the locally refined PMS from DRL at #855?

Shouldn't the locally refined PMS be cheaper?

Someone that should be held on custody and have it's brain formatted before being released to the community.

That was an assault.

Seems the preacher has gone to preach at his bar which is a bit careless thing to do. Evangelism requires tact sometimes.

But that still does not justify any assault on him.

So Nigeria sold oil to Dangote in naira only for some people to frustrate the process at the point of earning our rewards?

They'll sell to foreign countries and we'll then import from there.

Some people are evil personified.

VAT is also projected to go up.

#50 deductions on deposits above #10000.

All of these while the masses are still swallowing the bitter pills of subsidy removal and currency devaluation.

Tell me about a government that is arrogantly insensitive.

I don't like back and forth arguments.

The Kenya opposition was made the new Minister of Finance as they initially rejected any increase of tax. Now that Kenya have limited borrowing, he has returned bsck to the tack increase which already took effects.

Meaning the Gen Z weeks of protest was just so useless

I already said the government should embrace massive cut in the cost of governance. How do you run this expensive, wasteful and flamboyant government and then expect the masses to bear the brunt without revolt.

It's not even a Gen Z thing., it's common sense. Kenya isn't a template for Nigeria.

The government needs to demonstrate prudence to be able to secure the buy-in of the masses. I'm afraid, that confidence is missing in this admiration.

If you have the ears of those in the authority, tell them there's always an elastic limit and a tipping point.

You can't force subsidy removal and currency devaluation simultaneously on the masses and then thought of increasing taxes again while everyone groan in wants.

Again, go out and feel the purse of the people

If you don't want government to be borrowing money ridiculously, please suggest other means of getting money

What has been the benefits of the ridiculous loans they took in the past on the masses?

Why even borrow unreasonably only to fritter it away on frivolities.

I support massive cut to the cost of governance to free fund instead of going cap in hand to borrow money for basic things.

I really do not think we need to tax the masses more to be able to have fund for the big boys play with.

Not even this period. Feel the purse of the masses first.

Please what percentage is N50 charges on N10k deposit?

You don't understand, it's not about the percentage even if it is 0.0001%. Its about timing!

Not now when fuel scarcity is biting harder.

Any sensitive government will feel the purse of the masses before adding to their pains.
