So on Saturday evening it was raining and i decided to go outside and see if the tank was open well to my greatest surprise i opened the door to find this guy(he is policeman from my town) sleeping in front of my house.He was drunk so i let him inside to sleep,he was even sleeping around 10am when i went to church. Yesterday evening the woman who stays close to my house who is a food vendor asked me if my cousin was at home i told her that he was sleeping so she told me ok and said nothing else.This morning the policeman came to my house and told my mum that there was something he wanted to tell her.I was inside listening to their conversation.He started with that on Saturday that he went to this party that was held close to my house and was dead drunk so he couldn't go home and that's was why he crashed in front of my house.That when it started raining and i woke him up that he discovered that one of his phones was missing but the one inside in his pocket was still there but since he was drunk he never bothered to look for it because he knew where he kept it tho.He continued by saying that my cousin told him that the woman(food vendor) saw the phone and asked him to tell the policeman to come and collect it by himself.The policeman instead of seeing the woman he sent my cousin and the woman refused to give it to him,her reason been that it was the guy who lost the phone so he should be the one to come and collect it.Now the guy is complaining that the woman intentionally collected the phone since according to him that both of them are not actually in good terms and he knew where he kept the phone not withstanding the fact that he was drunk.He told my mum that he wont go and take the phone that the woman should be the one to bring the phone to him.My mum asked him if he was sure that he knew where he kept the phone cos it wont take anything away from the woman to pretend like she never saw the phone but he kept insisting that the woman intentionally took his phone.My question is should the woman keep the phone to herself or should she just hand over the phone to the police since its a case of lost but found.The woman in question the husband was a cop tho he is late
