Poems For Review / Fundamentals by LifeofEl(m): 6:29pm On Sep 12, 2019
Kon Kon Kon
It is heard, whispers lingering on ears
Whispers of the round table
Playing the human chess

Pawns Pawns Pawns
On all receiving ends
Servants under the table
A whole lot of segregation

Kon Kon Kon
Loud voices, still deaf ears
Is the pen still mightier than the sword?
I exist to help, still I am sidelined

Kon Kon Kon
Existing above the table, but still serve under it
Like a bunch of papers I am
Cries of Pawns are heard

In my prime I was respected
The beginners of the table
Who sleep and live on
I envy them all

Upholders of the table
Playing torture and shoot with Pawns
I see it all, I hear it all
AM I NEXT?

Poems For Review / Tale Of The Walls by LifeofEl(m): 12:41am On May 08, 2019
In a journey stuck in four walls
Where egos and pride meet
For a understanding at first, an understanding
To determine who deserves to be at the top.

Ego starts the journey
The journey of friendship and love
Broken walls and acceptance are shown
Till inferiority shows up and joins up.

The tale of four walls
Where bonds and love are made
Bonds that get broken overtime with ego
All in a closed and open wall.

A wall that unveils real characters
Characters kept in solitude
Unleashed with sudden outburst of freedom
Where IFUNAYA becomes IFY.

All is a race in the first year
Before priorities becomes a thing of the past
A wall that harbors betrayals, backbites and disappointments
Till friends become enemies
And enemies friends.

A wall that brings tears without cane
In a wall where looks are deceiving
Lessons learnt in a wall
A wall that isn’t a wall without its perks.

Poems For Review / The New Government by LifeofEl(m): 1:33pm On Nov 23, 2018
The New Government
With the hopes of the young
Ideals of the old, not a chance for the young
They keep up the poker face for who though?
The literates of an illiterate system
A system that kills dreams

The New Government
Please tell us a story of four years wanting another
A story that never gets old
Or a story of pointing fingers

The New Government
The puppets of a puppeteer
Strings pulled from ghost accounts
Ghost accounts that grow fat daily
A watcher laments

The New Government
Where information is never true
Workforce making prejudice decisions
A government of the people for the pipu by the people
Deaf ears are a thing in a new government
Will the green get greener, or the white whiter
I ponder on this?

The New Government with promises of old
A promise on the tale
Tale of the unsung heroes
The heroes of valour
The pacesetters of the old

The New Government
Tell us how the naira grows lesser by the day
A naira who was a king, the king to all
The naira of an old dream
A government that gives a thousand for a million

The New Government
Should I continue to wait for what you promised?
Should the labour of the heroes past go in vain?
Ponder on this I shall
Till I see unity and peace you preach
And wait for godot

Poems For Review / The Cake by LifeofEl(m): 11:07am On Oct 25, 2018
Come, i say come Let me tell you of a cake Who all adore and want It's the cake belonging to everyone and anyone

Where no one wants to share Yet everyone wants it A cake on a sudor of everyone Where all beg for a slice, a slice already owned

Which keeps the cake, the same ones we trust The excellent ones with green characters To whom power seems to be a stoor factor In form of babies they appear, with sullen looks

To ask for love and for everyone to love in return One thing having always being the agenda the one thing we don't need to beg for The thing mandated already

To explore weakness is their absolute gain With their vizards we believe them Saying, asking, thinking Will they be different?

They make it a race, to what end To fit the curmudgeon in them To the extent of calling on the grim reaper For a post not guaranteed for life

All in pursuit of this cake For themselves and their scion

Literature / To The Ingratiating Man by LifeofEl(m): 12:31pm On Oct 16, 2018
To the shrewd master The greatest trickster of all Eternal puppeteer in all forms I admire your commitment in helping you out Who am i, a being, object? I'm only used for your endgame To see you achieve your aims

Do you still remember my name Does it really matter, As long as you get the paper A paper that breathes life into death

I am the chief hoarder The keeper of your papers

Chief strategist in gaining trust The game changer out for a goal Shall we play a game of chess? Where there are pawns and bishop to sacrifice To achieve your goals Then again water is wet Who i am, you still don't know

Or you prefer a game of soccer Where its easy to change sides if you're clever As clever as a chameleon under a green grass Why don't you explain your formation so i'll know Who i am, still you don't know

From a side of a coin i ponder Are you different I grow a conscience But water is still wet

To the little me belittled with my rights Who takes life for a life for you Alas, a discarded waste was who i was to you To help you climb the ladder Yes, the ladder you gladly ate shit for.

Poems For Review / The Harvesters by LifeofEl(m): 6:21am On Oct 15, 2018
Come, I say to you come
Let me show you a location
Which hoards money
Sowers sow, different harvesters reap

A small room exist
Along your street
Old and young, stroll into it
There money sits, waiting for who to take it

In they go, with their pockets full
Foolishly they will say
I will win this day, like they say every other day
Wishing to get more, they empty all
And come back broken

Foolishly they say to themselves
Why did I do this after losing all
Still they show another day with another intent
Hoping to get all back

Wins the loss of others
An incessant cycle
With defiant hopes
In the end we ask, who truly wins?

Two round butt on each side
Firm and enticing
One gander at it and all is lost
You become another being

Time and money becomes a thing
Just for a taste
In the field of desire, the gateway to where
Delilah calleth
Woe to the thousands who hear the call

For her you do anything and everything
Like a lonely puppy in need of affection
All for two cheeks, you lose everything on it
Just for a taste

You always come back to where it all began
The middle of the thigh that changeth destiny
The honey pot they call it
Both parties in need of something

A one sided lust in the tale of the arse
Seeking favour of an inevitable sand
The arse with it's fame
The arse speaks and you keep quiet

You deny all when it calleth
Losing yourself in the tale
Just don't get lost, it is hard to get back
In the tale of the arse.

snowden9:
2017 is gone and i must say, it really dished out so many great movies in the likes of Thor:Ragnarok, Get out, wonder woman,Hitman bodyguard, Boss baby, kingsman:Golden circle..... I could go on and on. Did i just forget to mention Justice League? I mean 2017 should probably be dubbed as 'The Year of the movies '.

But not to worry, we'll certainly be having alot more in our plates this 2018 with a lot of these movies listed below but my most anticipated movie for this year definitely has to be..... wait for it.

2018 movies:
12 strong
Maze runner:Death cure
Black Panther
Fifty Shades freed
Tomb raider 2018(from the trailer, this should be very good)
Avengers :Infinity war(my most anticipated)
Deadpool 2
Ocean's 8
Incredibles 2
The Purge: The Island
Hotel Transylvania 3
Spiderman :Into the spider verse
Aquaman
Equaliser 2

So guys, what's your most anticipated movie of the year 2018?

Nairalanders what about yours?
