In as much as I'm a black African, I don't blame these countries.

Most black people never want to take responsibilities for their actions, especially those based in Europe and America, they'd rather play the racist card than own up.

That's why Africa is still very much backwards because we Africans would rather endure bad leadership than look for a way forward by calling out our bad leaders for their bad leadership skills... Even with the high number of gun violence in the US committed by black people, they'd still find a way to blame white Americans for killing each other.

So not every country would want to have such people around.

I am in a dilemma and I need advice on what to do.

A bit of background about myself: I am a 29 years only child from a very poor background. I work for an IT firm which i joined in 2019 as a graduate trainee.

My total income is around 490k (400k from main job, 90k from a writing side gig).

My challenge:
Recently, My host have told me to look for my accommodation and I have been searching for houses. Unfortunately, the places closer to my places of work is expensive.

I work in VI and the cheapest mini flat I have seen in close vicinity is 1.2M at Ajah.

I also have have a building project I am undertaking in the village that is at roofing stage and my parents have been pressuring me to settle down as the only child.

My dilemma is this, If i go for the house at Ajah, it will eat a bulk of my savings, thereby making it impossible for me to complete the building project or even start the process of settling down.

If I go for a cheaper but farer location, I will be spending more time in traffic.

Please, how do I manage this?

What I dont understand is this, does EFCC established for yahoo yahoo boys, in as much as I appreciate their efforts in this regard, I would have love them to extend their tentacle to our politicians too, who are embezzling hundred of billions of Naira. For the past eight years government officials have converted state resources to their personal money. To the extend that many income generating agencies only generate money for themselves, including NNPC, which government relied on, that generate 80% of our national budget, but got to the level that throughout 2022, they failed to generate any income to government purse, yet their so called MD is working freely on the street. Let our law be a blind law that failed to recognize any individual. Let those that commit economic sabotage be made to face the music whoever they are.
