Outside of Africa? Yes. However, Brazil lumps those with mixed ancestry and black together. So, if we are to go by pure breed of blacks, Ethiopia wins it. Brazil is more diverse and mixed than the US, so the definition of blacks should not be the same as the US where the One-drop-rule exists - a black parent automatically and permanently makes the person and his/her lineage black.

. going by ur statistics, if 56% are black (more than average) and they are in democracy where number count, yet black still constitute insignificantly minority in executive and legislature,.....Oga who to blame ? The oppressor or oppressed?

Brazil have the second largest black in the world outside Africa after U.S and African Brazilians have a low representation in the companies, media and the politic but this attempt to inflate the black population in Brazil is ridiculous. 40% of Brazilians identify themselves mixed race ( mulattos, zambos, and trirracial) and 16% declare themselves black. Brazilian president put blacks and mixed race people in the same category and claim that 56% of them declare themselves "black" like a forced one drop rule imported for U.S.
I don't understand why people have to keep shoving it down people's throats that almost 60% of Brazil's population is black if there are millions of Brazilians with an Amerindian phenotype here like these mixed race Brazilians girls.

40% of Brazilians identify as mixed race and 16% identify as black put Brazilian media put them in the same category to inflate the black population in Brazil. But both of them have a low representation.
