Rapper,Lil Wayne has been hospitalized this weekend as he suffers from seizures which comes from his fight with Epilepsy.

It was reported that Wayne was hospitalized in Chicago on Sunday after he was found unconscious in his hotel room at Westin on Michigan Avenue after he suffered multiple seizures.

A Professor of African politics at the Department of Government in the University of Oxford,United Kingdom, Abdulraufu Mustapha has died at the age of 63.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), on Sunday announced that it would hold its Policy Committee meeting next week Monday and Tuesday to determine the cut-off point for the 2017 admission.

The agency made the announcement in a statement on Sunday issued by its Head of Information, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, in Abuja.

‎Dr. Benjamin said the meeting approved by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu would kick start the 2017 admission exercise.

According to him, the policy committee would announced the cut off point for the 2017 admission exercise.

“‎The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has obtained the approval of the Hon Minister of Education to hold the Policy Committee meeting on 2017 admission.
“The meeting is scheduled to hold on Monday 21st to Tuesday 22nd August, 2017. This meeting will kick start the 2017 admission exercise. The policy committee would announced the cut off point for the 2017 admission exercise.

“All stakeholders including Vice Chancellors of Universities, Rectors of Polytechnics and Monotechnics and Provosts of Colleges of Education would be in attendance.”
Benjami said the board has sent a soft copy of printout of candidates to all institutions chosen by candidates.

Two Pilots working for Algeria's national airline have been placed on suspension for allowing a 10-year-old Orphan to fly a domestic passenger Plane.

Reports disclosed that the 10-year-old boy was sponsored by a charity and was filmed by El Bilad TV, who displayed him dressed as an occasional Pilot and pushing buttons under supervision.

The act was "A Breach of Civil Aviation Regulations" and the number of passengers in the airplane were not speculated.

The Pilots were suspended on the 29th of July 2017.

Segun Arinze,a popular Nollywood Actor made a statement today that the Afro-beat legend,Fela Anikulapo Kuti is still relevant after 20 years of his death.

The legend died on the 2nd of August 1997.

Segun Arinze said: “He is a great icon and till date, his music still stands relevant. Most of those things he said in all his songs are prevalent till date.

“He was like a prophet but as the saying goes, a ‘prophet is not respected in his home town. That played out in his life.

A 30-year-old driver, Busari Akeem, who allegedly drove his car recklessly and knocked down a motorcyclist, on Monday appeared before an Osogbo Chief Magistrates’ Court.

Akeem, who is facing a four-count charge bordering on dangerous driving and manslaughter, was released on N100, 000 bail.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Oladoye Joshua told the court that the accused committed the offences on Jan. 8 at 10.00 a.m. at Kabelo Filling Station area in Osogbo.

Joshua alleged that the accused drove a Toyota Corolla car with registration no. AAA 815 EM recklessly and killed a motorcyclist, Ibrahim Abdullahi.

“The deceased was riding an unregistered Honda motorcycle when he was knocked down by Akeem.”

The offences contravened Sections 18(1), 27, and 7(1) of the Road Transport Act, Laws of Osun, 2003.

The Federal Government’ s Home Grown School Feeding Programme has commenced in Kaduna State on July 25, a director in the State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mr John Gora, says.

Gora who oversees the programme told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Kaduna that about 800,000 pupils would be fed at N70 per meal.

According to him, the government will spend about N56 million daily, N280 million a week and N1.1 billion every month in feeding pupils.

The director said that out of the 20,146 vendor shortlisted for the programme, only 9,000 would participate.

Charles Akinsipe,a 35 years old Delivery ,Man have been charged to court for allegedly stealing Parcels worth from his employ, Jumia.

He pleaded not guilty of the one-count charge of Stealing.

The court was told that he,Akinsipe committed the offence on the 19th of July at Ogba in Ikeja,Lagos.

Also, we gathered that the Delivery Man sells parcels to customers but instructs them to transfer money into his personal account instead of the company's.

The company later detected this and reported the matter to the Police and he was arrested.

He was thereby granted a N100,000 bail by Magistrate T.O Shomade and the case was adjourned till the 15th of August for mention.
