Good morning all, please I’d appreciate a response because I’ve emailed the Brazilian embassy and no response yet.
My boyfriend (not legally married) want us to have our child in Brazil. He’s the sponsor. Will that affect any form of documentation needed for the Citizenship of the child? Same goes for us the parent, can we be granted PR and on the long run citizenship since we’re not legally married yet? Will this be an obstacle? And what are the possibilities around it? Please I’d deeply appreciate answers and ideas, on how to go about it.
Thanks. |

Naijaforeigner: These are the tips I will give you.
I will suggest you do a thorough research about the school. What is the population of the school, what is the total number of international students in the school, how easy is it to get part time jobs in that city, are they flexible with tuition payments?
I will be honest with you, some places in Canada are dead zones (so isolated). As much as we are in Canada to learn, meeting people, going out, having fun is a very important aspect of education. The city you decide to study in Canada is very important for your mental health.
I wish you all the best. To be honest I very much get your message. These are the things I initially considered that drove me here to ask the question initially. Guess there’s no one here studying in Niagara College. I’d keep my tabs open and explore other options. Thanks sir for your time. |

damidam: Hello ma'am,do you know you can check google for all these questions and reservations you have about this school? You can check google or the school website for news paper publications about the school. You can also use google to find out about the school's rating, You can also use google to check for other likeable conversations about the school on other similar platforms as nairaland. From this things you will see on google you will be able to have either a positive or negative narrative about the school. Thanks a lot for your reply. I actually did search through google, but the review wasn’t encouraging at all. All I needed was someone with a first hand experience on here to say one or two things about the school and it’s environs that’s all. Once again thanks for taking out time to reply. |

Stevenssen: I'm not studying there but the school is okay. Though some of the best colleges in Ontario are : Seneca, Humber, George Brown, Fanshawe, Centennial Thanks a lot for the response. I guess the school is not all that from your response. I just wish I could hear some more positives about the school from fellow Nairalanders. |

TheAfrikan: Goodmorning,
You have a great chance of securing a visa without a travel history (talking from personal experience).
Lack of travel history as part of a delayed visa is a generic thing and comes with other reasons.
So, you can go ahead with your application process.
Hope this helps? Thank you so much sir for the assurance. And yes it did help. Have a blessed day. |

Mayflowa: Welcome sis. You have quite a lot compare to some folks here. Sincerely, schools in Canada are cheaper. You are allowed to work both on and off campus. US is only oncampus which you may not get. If you decide to bring ur spouse here, they won't be eligible to work. He go dey sit down look you but it's not so in Canada. spouses are allowed full time work.
Another way you can fund your education is to contact faculty members before applying. Provide then intelligent letter on their research interest and ask for available funding. GPA and GRE determine a lot on funding. So you may want to prepare well for that.
However, you will be exposed to series of funding once you have finished ur first semester and did very well. If you check the international student website of any school, you would be amazed on the series of funding you are opened to but we never do while in naija.
Lastly as a woman, you are advantaged by gender as there are many scholarship body that provide scholarship for women in developing nation. What is your course of study? If I had time, will provide u some links.
One other thing, how were you able to save up to 3 million in Naija work? Thank you sir for taking your time to reply aside my monthly pay i sell clothes, perfumes and wristwatches for both men and women besides i get money as gift from some nice friends and colleagues too i graduated with a GPA of 3.62/5.0 studied computer science looking to do my master in information technology or any database related course....my major fear is the funding......How much is too small for a Canadian Uni regarding tuition? looking at every possibility without funding for now just in case i don't get the funding HAPPY SUNDAY SIR |
