So why did you guys occupy Nigeria when Jonathan and PDP wanted to remove it ![]() |
Don’t jump before the gun . Wait for the white paper first . UK has always been like this . They change and update laws like a GRWM video . Just calm down and wait for the release . ehemwhy: |
They can’t , giving a statement is tantamount to acceptance of wrong doing. It will negatively impact their brand . Aligning with VDM is not exactly positive for any business. Infact it’s bad for business because of his M.O. GTB will not validate VDM and that’s why they won’t issue any statement . Thewrath: |
I don’t know your lady colleague o, but I can categorically confirm to you that she’s not telling you everything . Marriage is where sex goes to die . E sure me say that her husband is sex starved . She go learn styles no mean say she no dey gatekeep sex . Women in marriage often think that sex should be once in 2 weeks and that if they try run am twice in 2 weeks then it’s a lot of sex . Again I no Sabi the lady o, but I am ready to drop 1 meter that she’s not telling the whole truth . MONEY247: |
Lmao . This government can gaslight Ehn . I don’t even have strength again to be analyzing their cock and bull stories . I promise you , everything na packaging . Let me give a few pointers so you know where to start looking . First , the report said balance of payment but the administration is saying trade , but if you look closely you’ll see that it’s not like we are exporting more , we are importing less because the economy has further taken funds out of the hands of Nigerians , they can’t buy rice as much as before , so importers too are importing less of it. And the increase in balance of payment is not because of that trade dynamics alone, Nigerians in diaspora have increased their remittances home to shore up the little money their families and relatives are trying to use to buy expensive eggs and bread and so on. Lmao , I can analyze everything in this report and you’ll see that these people in government can LIE Ehn. My God ! femisplash: |
ChatGPT, really . No effort to even write an original speech . Smh !

|
If you dig well into this matter , I fit assure you say na Sex or let’s say “lack of sex” cause am . When women get married and take the title “Mrs”, just say bye bye to sex. But you see side chicks , they will give the man sex anytime he comes knocking . It’s not always juju . Men get tired of begging their wives for some action and will appreciate the side chick who will obviously be maintaining her looks (because that’s her source of income na) and still be giving them knacks whenever they want it , no questions asked. Married women in Nigeria need orientation. |
How you go Dey the same WhatsApp group with Toke and Tiwa and expect your marriage to be smooth sailing . Dey play . |
malachai89:lol , UK can never be third world , even if they ship all third world countries into UK. It’s a working environment . You may have pockets of idiots and nincompoops here and there but UK is mostly sane . I’d rather raise my kids here than in USA anyway . But now here’s the thing about relocating , no one can advise you more than first hand experience. I won’t lie to you , if the economy of Nigeria improves , omo I will be on the next flight back home . Because it’s a terrain I understand . I know how to navigate my way around earning money in Nigeria . But in UK , you will have to learn from scratch and even if you’re earning a good salary , it will most likely not be so much in excess that you can do as you like , lol. UK is a leveling ground , your next door neighbour could be a renowned surgeon and be driving a Range Rover and the next man could be a handy man and be driving the same . The only difference could be how they purchased it which won’t be public knowledge . Maybe the surgeon’s own is on HP and handy man’s own is on PCP . But koko is that both are enjoying same utility . The UK is a leveler . Now the challenge with UK is their political instability . Today na this policy ; Tomorrow na another policy . And most times all these policies na just to remind immigrants say we no be one of them . But then the system works perfectly , living here is soft as long as you have a job . You will eat well, have fast internet , have access to good medical care , steady power , good roads , security , respect no matter the job you do . I personally would prefer Nigeria of 2012 a million times over UK of today . But I’ll pick UK of today 10 million times over Nigeria of today . Ultimately , it’s up to you . You have to experience it to decide. I would advice you to do what I did , although mine is a bit different . I took a 2 year study leave from my job to test the waters . And I didn’t sell anything back home , down to broom, all my belongings in Nigeria are still intact. My wife doesn’t want to go back but me o, if my job gives me a juicy offer , I’m on the next flight home. Give it a shot , worst case, you’ll get a degree . Try to do a degree in something that will matter in Nigeria . Don’t just go through the study route for the sake of it . At least even if everything else fails , you’ll have something solid to show for your endeavors. But God will be with you . Cheers . |
Lmao , be like make person start generator make e no carry light enter house . People inside house dey complain about heat and darkness , you wey start generator say make them no worry , say generator don dey work . Lmao . I had to simplify it using pidgin English for better context. But the sad thing is that come 2027, if Obi , Atiku or Kwankwaso is on the ballot , Tinubu will win and Nigeria will plunge further than this which in itself is scary because I don’t even want to imagine life in such a Nigeria. It took a collective effort and shelving of egos for them to unseat Jonathan . It will require such type of effort and ruthlessness to unseat Tinubu but Egos are bigger than the love for the nation and some of us who truly love the nation and have ideas don’t have money and structure to run for office . If you have the funds, consider relocation greatly . The only thing we can do is be the government of our families , go to other climes and earn in other currencies such that you can comfortably cater to all the needs of your family and community . These politicians have a mission to run Nigeria into the ground , so gentlemen , ladies , stay afloat . |
Don’t send her to just any boarding school . If it must be to a boarding school , then I’ll suggest a command school. And get the school authorities to ensure they correct her ways . But what I would do is not let her know my plans, not even my wife . I would suggest we go to Nigeria for Easter , if you still have parents , let her live with them . Explain the situation as well , deprive her of access to excess funds . Let her get involved in chores , let her be engaged in a skill acquisition scheme , enroll her in a disciplined school either missionary or military , not a private school or government school . My opinion . |
If you can , please don’t get married . Marriage failure doesn’t always have to do with money or love . Sometimes it’s disrespect seeping in gradually without both parties knowing. They begin to take each other for granted over time . Needs also start to raise their heads . One party may be on the receiving end and if not managed properly , it will lead to failure. When it starts requiring too much effort and now becomes work, that’s a signal to either fix up or walk away especially when your sanity is still intact. Again , even if you have all the money in the world , it can never make marriage work . The company you keep after getting married too matters a whole lot but nobody is ready for that conversation . You’re married and some peoples daily prayer is for your marriage to scatter so they can say “I told you so “. If you find yourself in a happy marriage earlier on , don’t let the outside world know, but it’s not even easy to fake not being happy . So you’ll automatically attact envy . You should now be a beautiful couple, with successful careees and have a baby that’s beautiful or handsome , and life is seeming like a bed of roses , no worry yourself , they don dey plan that marriage failure for una . Even if you marry your friend , the moment you exchange vows , that friendship will begin to be tested . Don’t let anyone fool you ; there’s no perfect partner out there . There’s no perfect marriage. All of them are facing one thing or the other . Some marriages just know how to pretend to outsiders better than others . On a closing note , if you think marriage will bring a lot of ta-ta-ta to compensate , lmao , i weep for you in advance . |
But they gave vp 15 billion to renovate house . Gbaja 20.1 billion to renovate house and buy software. That is 35.1 billion . There has to be enough room in aso rock to house the vice president and chief of staff . |
Relax , worry less about things you cannot control . Just keep improving in all aspects of your life even if it’s baby steps and everything will fall in place . When I reflect , I ask myself why I was so worried. The things I was worried about didn’t matter eventually. It’s the things I didn’t really regard that came through and now I am building on them. I know it’s hard not to worry but just try. It reduces disappointments and stress. Ultimately , Que Serra Serra. |
jay123000:Actually this is not one size fits all . My last trip to the Uk had a layover in Istanbul, I didn’t need a transit visa. |
Giftyy:hello , please go back to wema bank . Tell them to seek approval from their zonal heads in order to issue you the reference letter. Explain that it’s a very special request from your school and your funds are with WEMA . Zonal heads in wema have the approving rights for reference letters on accounts less than 6 months . You can show them the request from the school too to support your case. |

Hello everyone , VISA ALERT ! Dependent visa ( wife and son ) I’m the M.A and I already had my visa . I wrote about my sour experience with UKVI and how I was able to navigate a wrongful refusal . Ok so here’s how we handled my dependents application . I paid for their visa application and IHS on the 5th of July . Then I moved bulk funds from our business account to my wife’s account on the 5th . Getting a date for TB test was tedious but we got 11th of July for them at IOM . We booked for biometrics to be beyond 28 days after I moved the bulk funds . So biometrics was on the 4th of august . Paid for priority for both of them . Documents we tendered : 1. My wife’s statement of account , 2. My own statement of account showing that we didn’t recycle funds 3. Consent letter for our son to travel with us and that we will be jointly taking care of him 4. Consent letter from my wife to cover my son’s living expenses 5. Consent letter from me to also use funds in my account to cover my son’s living expenses . 6 . Marriage certificate 7. NIN of myself and my wife that has the same house address . 8. TB test certificate 9. All my tuition receipts from the university and telexes from banks . 10. 20 pictures , mostly pictures taken in our sitting room and pictures taken when we were out on car rides and like 5 pictures from our wedding 11. My son’s birth certificate . 12. My wife’s change of name documents ( affidavit , newspaper publication ) 13 . Immense prayers cos I later realized that it’s ideal to hold funds for 28 days even before paying for the visa and IHS (but I think what we did was some sort of loophole ) cos think about it , if we had held the funds before the 5th of July but didn’t get biometrics date until 4th of august , we would still Have received NSF to provide an updated statement as the number of days in between would have been too much to ignore , almost 31 days . 14. If you have the money , please pay for premium lounge . My dependent‘a biometrics was at TLS Ikeja , but the crowd there was insane . Their appointment was for 8:30am but they didn’t even know where to start with the queue . While they were still just contemplating on how to join, the officials of TLS started asking if there were any applicants for premium and this was around 7:45 am . It didn’t matter if your Appointment was for later in the day . I think it had to do with the availability of space in the lounge . They sha entered at about 7:50 and premium lounge makes everything so easy and seamless , coupled with the assisted service . Wetin remain na make them pound yam , cook fresh egusi and hand feed my dependents . 15. Followed proceedings on Nairaland closely to know what to do and what not to do. 16. @duchess90 is a gem and doesn’t even charge for the premium service we enjoy . I still want to know why The person behind the moniker is so dedicated to helping Nigerians japa . Lol. 17. God will crown your efforts and we will all find favor on this journey we all are embarking on . And someday soon , we will return to Nigeria to contribute our own quota to make the country into what we will be proud of . Cos in all honesty, no place like home . We received the visa within the 5 days as specified for priority service . No NSF |

But they collect yam from senior goat , give am to baby goat . Was the deputy governor not a part of Emefiele’s team . For the entirety of Emefiele’s time , does the deputy governor want to tell us that he was not aware or that he was not involved in 1 or 2 Bala blu… Please this arrest should be extended to all the leaders of the CBN under Emefiele’s administration. They are not saints , all of them have to be investigated . |
Jlaw1:I really appreciate your kind words deeply . My head tells me to let go but trust me , it’s not so easy. The excitement everyone gets for being here doesn’t even begin to appeal to me. I’m just focused on completing my studies and returning back to Nigeria. Initially my plan was to quit my job , pack my things and runaway from Nigeria and just pursue the Golden Fleece in the UK, but I didn’t quit my job again after what happened. My job covered my sorrow , I even got promoted twice in 1 year and my career just seemed to take a great turn . Some psychologists amongst us may be interested in unraveling this , lol. I just applied for a study leave and I’ll be returning to continue in a different capacity at my job. I got the opportunity to think deeply about my intentions to leave , I don’t wish this on any one but I got clarity after months of turmoil . I know I will Get over it , may just take some time but that’s what time does , time heals . But I’ll hold what you have said close to heart any time the pain creeps up . Thank you again for such kind words . |
duchess90:Hi Duchess , thank you for your concern . No I didn’t bring the challenge here . I tore Nairaland apart looking for someone who must have faced something similar, someone who had probably succeeded in overturning a refusal decision, but I couldn’t find any . So I just went all out on my own . Anyway , Nairaland now has someone that successfully got a redress from UKVI and happened within months. I don’t wish this for anyone but at least I can guide anyone that meets such a sad development. I truly hope no one does . Thank you again. |
Linkwire:After a lot of research , I saw that getting justice for errors made by your case handler was not a very discussed topic . Not too many people had any proper information and those that did just mumbled everything into very lengthy write ups . I just ignored everything and decided to send a mail to UKVI . I just replied the rejection mail I received and I got a response on the steps to take to get a review , but they wouldn’t review it fast . But what did I have to lose na , so I applied for a review and made the payment, I attached all my evidences and just forgot about it . I was working one day and I saw a mail with an apology attached . Then I received a refund for the review application I sent in . Then I got another mail apologizing and asking me for an account to make a refund of my initial visa application and then another mail telling me that they had removed the visa refusal from my travel history . I was angry , disappointed, and just plain irritated. I informed the school about the reversal of the decision and they advised me to defer the initial admission so they could issue me a new offer . I got the offer , received an updated CAS and then proceeded to apply for a fresh visa . 7 days after , I received a mail that my passport was ready for collection. DHL delivered the very next day , I opened the package , opened my passport and I saw the VISA. I wasn’t excited , I didn’t feel any relief , there’s was no sense of conquering . I just felt blank . I’m in the UK now and I don’t feel any different. I still wish I could meet that case worker in person and just ask what he/she was thinking or drinking when handling my initial application . I just want to know if UKVI applied any sanction to the case worker for making such an error . Anyway , I wish everyone applying for a visa the best of luck . And please put it at the back of your mind , it’s human beings reviewing your applications and they can make mistakes . And if you ask me , most of those decisions are taken At TLS . Just my thoughts . See you all soon in the UK. God save the King ! P.S : the school I applied to was so helpful . Infact they joined me in the fight against UKVI . They sent their own queries to UKVI to support my request for review . They were always checking with me and also sharing their own feedback . I am totally grateful to them . I am not here to market any school so I will be withholding their name . |
Let me share my UKVI and visa experience with everyone , It could be useful to someone here. It may be a long read but I hope the write up is as engaging as I have it in my thoughts . This happened to me personally and not a third party. I decided to take the step to leave the country after so many years of loyalty and deep belief that Nigeria would get better soonest . Well until last year when dollar rate took a very sad turn. I woke up one day feeling tired and in desperate need to get out . The fastest route , tier 4 visa was the go to path to leave Nigeria . I quickly applied for admission , secured it , placed money that I had saved over the years inside a savings account and waited for it to hit the 28 days mark. As soon as that happened, I approached the aboki selling dollar at Diya street gbagada to buy some dollars for visa application and IHS . I had done the TB test and everything was looking super. I applied for the visa and the proceeded to TLS VI for biometrics , no single hitch . I was already preparing myself mentally for the struggle involved with JAPA and readying my mind for study . I was at home , just chilling and waiting for a collection mail , I mean I had crossed the Ts and dotted the Is. days turned into weeks and weeks became a month plus , still no message . Worried about the development, I sent a paid mail only to receive a response that a decision had not been made. I became quite disturbed and started looking for some hope anywhere, visited nairaland severally to see if anyone had similar experiences. Lo and behold, some people had the same experience but theirs was quickly resolved as they either got NSF mails, or mails for collection. I kept the hope alive but it was flickering . Then boom, one day I received a mail , and the mail was from UKVI saying that i underpaid IHS and that I should quickly pay the balance of 2800 dollars. I laughed because I felt it was a scam. I mean how much is IHS gan gan sef that I will now pay that much . I ignored this email and continued waiting. It was now 2 months , still nothing . I sent another paid mail , next day , same IHS mail came in. I ignored it again and waited , and this happened 2 more times and next thing I saw was a comprehensive mail from UKVI rejecting my application . I was broken, I felt I had lost all hope in life and I was distraught . I held my cool and then I opened up the mail. Only for me to see that UKVI said I was a woman , going to join my husband who was a student as a dependent . Note that i am male and not a female son to my parents , so I was confused. When did i become a woman, I ran to my application to confirm again , maybe I made a mistake , but my application was fine . AHHHH, it was already September , and classes were starting in a week , I didn't know when I said "Egbami, this UKVI will not kill me ". I quickly started researching ways to seek redress , because how ?...to be continued . |
Banks have really suffered o, and all because of what , because they are afraid of being sanctioned by the regulators. Nigerians, you people sef should think na . how can all banks be down at the same time . It's impossible . anyway , the culprit is NIBSS and NIBSS is owned by CBN . they are the switching company that handles interbank payment of all banks in Nigeria . If you want to test it , do a transfer from your bank to your bank , you will see that instantly it will go . meaning that nothing is wrong with your bank . But banks wont speak up , because all of them are scared of CBN and why wont they be when the regulators have no one checking them. The regulators are now like mini gods in the industry. Instead of CBN to tell Nigerians that their switching company NIBSS cannot Handle the sky rocketing number of internet bank users, They said its banks that don't have the capacity. lol , and Nigerians too will just start fighting their banks . When money was scarce , they said its banks that were hoarding it , lol , money that banks are printing Abi . lol , or money that its banks that circulate to themselves . very funny regulators. And them never born any bank well to talk , if not they will find a way to take their license . Anyway , my fellow Nigerians, it is NIBSS o, if you're having downtime , its NIBSS, they are the switching company . remember that message you get "SWITCH INOPERATIVE", ehen , dazzit . Did you guys notice how money became available after NLC threatened to visit all CBN offices . lol . if money was in the banks , sebi all the burning and looting of banks would have made them bring out the money if they had it . CBN needs to be unbundled to save our economy . |
Let’s not get carried away . We still have 11th of march . Please let’s be resolute . They are desperate now , they will attempt all options available . Please we need to go all out again on the 11th of march . My people please , We must show APC that lagos belongs to all of us. |
